ಶಿವಮೊಗ್ಗ (shivamogga), ಮಾ. 31: ಯುಗಾದಿ ಹಬ್ಬದ ವೇಳೆ ಚಂದ್ರ ದರ್ಶನ ಸಾಕಷ್ಟು ಮಹತ್ವ ಹೊಂದಿದೆ. ಮಾ. 31 ರ ಸೋಮವಾರ ಸಂಜೆ ಸೂರ್ಯಾಸ್ತದ ಸಮಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಚಂದ್ರ ದರ್ಶನ ಮಾಡಿ ಸಾರ್ವಜನಿಕರು ನಮಿಸಿದರು.

ಸಂಜೆಯಾಗುತ್ತಿದ್ದಂತೆ ಶಿವಮೊಗ್ಗ ನಗರದ ವಿವಿಧೆಡೆ ಮನೆಯ ಹೊರಾಂಗಣ, ರಸ್ತೆ, ಮಹಡಿಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ನಿಂತು ನಾಗರೀಕರು ಚಂದ್ರ ದರ್ಶನ ಮಾಡಿದರು. ಇತರರಿಗೂ ಚಂದ್ರ ಗೋಚರಿಸುತ್ತಿರುವ ಮಾಹಿತಿ ರವಾನಿಸಿ ಸಂಭ್ರಮಿಸಿದರು.

ಕೆಲವರು ತಮ್ಮ ಮೊಬೈಲ್ ಫೋನ್ ಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಚಂದ್ರನ ಫೋಟೋ ಕ್ಲಿಕ್ಕಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಸೋಶಿಯಲ್ ಮೀಡಿಯಾಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಅಪ್ಲೋಡ್ ಮಾಡಿ ಹಬ್ಬದ ಶುಭಾಶಯ ವಿನಿಮಯ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡರು.

ಚಂದ್ರ ದರ್ಶನದ ನಂತರ ಮಹಿಳೆಯರು ಕುಟುಂಬ ಸದಸ್ಯರೊಂದಿಗೆ ಭಕ್ತಿಭಾವದಿಂದ ಚಂದ್ರನಿಗೆ ಊದಿನಕಡ್ಡಿ, ಕರ್ಪೂರದಿಂದ ಬೆಳಗಿ ಪೂಜಿಸಿ ನಮಿಸಿದರು.

ನಂತರ ಸಂಪ್ರದಾಯದಂತೆ ಕಿರಿಯುರು, ಹಿರಿಯರ ಕಾಲಿಗೆ ಬಿದ್ದು ನಮಸ್ಕರಿಸಿ ಆಶೀರ್ವಾದ ಪಡೆದರು. ಜೊತೆಗೆ ಸ್ನೇಹಿತರು, ಬಂಧುಬಾಂಧವರು, ನೆರೆಹೊರೆಯವರೊಂದಿಗೆ ಶುಭಾಶಯ ವಿನಿಮಯ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಿದ್ದುದು ಹಾಗೂ ಬೇವುಬೆಲ್ಲ ಹಂಚುತ್ತಿದ್ದುದು ಸರ್ವೇಸಾಮಾನ್ಯವಾಗಿ ಕಂಡುಬಂದಿತು.

ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯಾದ್ಯಂತ ಯುಗಾದಿಯ ಚಂದ್ರ ದರ್ಶನವಾಗಿದೆ. ಹಲವೆಡೆ ಮೋಡ ಮುಸುಕಿದ ವಾತಾವರಣದ ಹಿನ್ನೆಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ, ಚಂದ್ರ ದರ್ಶನವಾಗಲಿಲ್ಲಎಂಬ ವರದಿಗಳು ಬಂದಿವೆ.

Shivamogga, Mar. 31: Moon darshan is very important during the Ugadi festival. On Monday evening, Mar. 31, moon darshan was performed and worshipped at sunset.

As evening fell, citizens stood outside their homes, on the roads, and on rooftops in various parts of Shivamogga city to view the moon. They celebrated by spreading the news that the moon was visible to others.

After the moon darshan, women, along with family members, worshipped and bowed to the moon with devotion by lighting incense sticks and camphor.
