ಶಿವಮೊಗ್ಗ (shivamogga), ಏ. 29: ಸ್ನೇಹಿತನನ್ನೇ ಬರ್ಬರವಾಗಿ ಕೊಲೆ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದ ಪ್ರಕರಣಕ್ಕೆ ಸಂಬಂಧಿಸಿದಂತೆ, ಇಬ್ಬರಿಗೆ ಜೀವಾವಧಿ ಶಿಕ್ಷೆ ವಿಧಿಸಿ ಶಿವಮೊಗ್ಗದ 5 ನೇ ಹೆಚ್ಚುವರಿ ಸಿ.ಜೆ. ಮತ್ತು ಜೆಎಂಎಫ್’ಸಿ ನ್ಯಾಯಾಲಯ ಏ. 29 ರಂದು ತೀರ್ಪು ನೀಡಿದೆ.

ಹೊಸನಗರ ತಾಲೂಕು ಗರ್ತಿಕೆರೆಯ ಬಿದರಳ್ಳಿ ರಸ್ತೆ ನಿವಾಸಿಗಳಾದ ಫಯಾಜ್ ಯಾನೆ ಕೋಳಿ ಫಯಾಜ್ (37) ಹಾಗೂ ಕೃಷ್ಣ (45) ಶಿಕ್ಷೆಗೊಳಗಾದ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಗಳೆಂದು ಗುರುತಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಇಬ್ಬರಿಗೂ ಜೀವಾವಧಿ ಶಿಕ್ಷೆಯ ಜೊತೆಗೆ ತಲಾ 13 ಸಾವಿರ ರೂ. ದಂಡ ವಿಧಿಸಿ ನ್ಯಾಯಾಲಯ ಆದೇಶಿಸಿದೆ.

ನ್ಯಾಯಾಧೀಶರಾದ ಪ್ರಭಾವತಿ ಜಿ ಅವರು ಈ ತೀರ್ಪು ನೀಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಸರ್ಕಾರದ ಪರವಾಗಿ ಸಹಾಯಕ ಸರ್ಕಾರಿ ಅಭಿಯೋಜಕರಾದ ಅಣ್ಣಪ್ಪ ನಾಯಕ್ ಜಿ ಅವರು ವಾದ ಮಂಡಿಸಿದ್ದರು.

ಪ್ರಕರಣದ ಹಿನ್ನೆಲೆ : 22-12-2021 ರ ರಾತ್ರಿ ಗರ್ತಿಕೆರೆ ಗ್ರಾಮದ ನಿವಾಸಿ ಸತೀಶ್ ಶೆಟ್ಟಿ ಎಂಬಾತ ಸ್ನೇಹಿತರಾದ ಕೋಳಿ ಫಯಾಜ್ ಹಾಗೂ ಕೃಷ್ಣ ಅವರೊಂದಿಗಿದ್ದ. ಕೂಲಿ ಹಣ ಕೇಳಿದ ವಿಚಾರಕ್ಕೆ ಸಂಬಂಧಿಸಿದಂತೆ ಸತೀಶ್ ಶೆಟ್ಟಿ ಹಾಗೂ ಅಪರಾಧಿಗಳಿಬ್ಬರ ನಡುವೆ ಕಲಹವಾಗಿತ್ತು.

ಇದು ವಿಕೋಪಕ್ಕೆ ತಿರುಗಿ ಅಪರಾಧಿಗಳಿಬ್ಬರು, ಸತೀಶ್ ಶೆಟ್ಟಿಯನ್ನು ಅಮೃತ ಗ್ರಾಮದ ಕೆರೆ ದಂಡೆ ಸಮೀಪ ಕರೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಬಂದಿದ್ದರು. ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಕತ್ತಿ ಮತ್ತು ಚಾಕುವಿನಿಂದ ಇರಿದು ಕೊಲೆ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದರು. ನಂತರ ದೇಹವನ್ನು ಕೆರೆಗೆ ಎಸೆದಿದ್ದರು.

ಈ ಕುರಿತಂತೆ ರಿಪ್ಪನ್’ಪೇಟೆ ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ಠಾಣೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಕರಣ ದಾಖಲಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಅಂದಿನ ಸರ್ಕಲ್ ಇನ್ಸ್’ಪೆಕ್ಟರ್ ಮಧುಸೂದನ್ ಅವರು ಪ್ರಕರಣದ ತನಿಖೆ ನಡೆಸಿ, ನ್ಯಾಯಾಲಯಕ್ಕೆ ದೋಷಾರೋಪಣ ಪಟ್ಟಿ ದಾಖಲಿಸಿದ್ದರು.

Shivamogga, Apr. 29: The 5th Additional C.J. and JMFC Court of Shivamogga has sentenced two people to life imprisonment in a case of brutal murder of their friend on Apr. 29. The convicted persons are Fayaz alias Koli Fayaz (37) and Krishna (45), residents of Bidaralli Road in Garthikere, Hosanagar taluk. The court has ordered a fine of Rs 13,000 each along with life imprisonment for both of them.

Background of the case: On the night of 22-12-2021, Satish Shetty, a resident of Garthikere village, was with his friends Koli Fayyaz and Krishna. There was a dispute between Satish Shetty and the two criminals regarding the issue of asking for wages. This turned into a disaster when the two criminals took Satish Shetty to the bank of the lake in Amrutha village. There, they stabbed him to death with a sword and a knife.

Then, they threw his body into the lake. A case was registered in this regard at the Ripponpete police station. The then Circle Inspector Madhusudan investigated the case and filed a chargesheet in the court.
