ಹುಬ್ಬಳ್ಳಿ (hubli), ಮೇ 6: ಲಾರಿ ಮತ್ತು ಕಾರಿನ ನಡುವೆ ಸಂಭವಿಸಿದ ಮುಖಾಮುಖಿ ಡಿಕ್ಕಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕಾರಿನಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ಐವರು ಮೃತಪಟ್ಟ ಘಟನೆ, ಹುಬ್ಬಳ್ಳಿ ತಾಲೂಕಿನ ಕಿರೆಸೂರ ಗ್ರಾಮದ ಇಂಗಳಹಳ್ಳಿ ಕ್ರಾಸ್ ನ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಹೆದ್ದಾರಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮೇ 6 ರಂದು ಬೆಳಿಗ್ಗೆ ನಡೆದಿದೆ.

ಶಿವಮೊಗ್ಗ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯ ಸಾಗರದ ಶ್ವೇತಾ (29), ಅಂಜಲಿ (26), ಸಂದೀಪ (26), ವಿಠಲ (35) ಹಾಗೂ ಶಶಿಕಲಾ (40) ಮೃತಪಟ್ಟವರೆಂದು ಗುರುತಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ.

ನವಲಗುಂದ ಕಡೆಯಿಂದ ಆಗಮಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಲಾರಿಯು ಎದುರಿನಿಂದ ಬರುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಕಾರಿಗೆ ಡಿಕ್ಕಿ ಹೊಡೆದಿದೆ. ಅಪಘಾತದ ತೀವ್ರತೆಗೆ ಕಾರಿನಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ಐದು ಮಂದಿ ಸ್ಥಳದಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ಅಸುನೀಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

ಅವಘಡದ ನಂತರ ಲಾರಿ ಚಾಲಕ ಪರಾರಿಯಾಗಿದ್ದಾನೆ. ಘಟನಾ ಸ್ಥಳಕ್ಕೆ ಹಿರಿಯ ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳು ಭೇಟಿಯಿತ್ತು ಪರಿಶೀಲನೆ ನಡೆಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಹುಬ್ಬಳ್ಳಿಯ ಗ್ರಾಮೀಣ ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ಠಾಣೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಕರಣ ದಾಖಲಾಗಿದೆ.

Hubli, May 6: Five people in the car died in a head-on collision between a lorry and a car on the National Highway at Ingalahalli Cross in Kiresura village of Hubli taluk on the morning of May 6.

The deceased have been identified as Shweta (29), Anjali (26), Sandeepa (26), Vitthal (35) and Sashikala (40) from Sagar in Shivamogga district.

The lorry driver fled after the accident. Senior police officials visited the spot and conducted an investigation. A case has been registered at the Hubballi Rural Police Station.
