ಭದ್ರಾವತಿ (bhadravathi), ಮಾರ್ಚ್ 20: ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಯೋರ್ವರಿಗೆ ಅವ್ಯಾಚ್ಯ ಶಬ್ದಗಳಿಂದ ನಿಂದಿಸಿ, ಜೀವ ಬೆದರಿಕೆ ಹಾಕಿದ ಪ್ರಕರಣಕ್ಕೆ ಸಂಬಂಧಿಸಿದಂತೆ 6 ಜನರಿಗೆ 2 ವರ್ಷ ಕಠಿಣ ಜೈಲು ಶಿಕ್ಷೆ ವಿಧಿಸಿ, ಭದ್ರಾವತಿಯ 4 ನೇ ಹೆಚ್ಚುವರಿ ಜಿಲ್ಲಾ ಮತ್ತು ಸತ್ರ ನ್ಯಾಯಾಲಯ ತೀರ್ಪು ನೀಡಿದೆ.
ಗೌತಮಿ (30), ನಾಗರಾಜ್ (56), ರಾಘವೇಂದ್ರ (35), ನಾಗರತ್ನ (54), ಲಕ್ಷ್ಮಮ್ಮ (40) ಹಾಗೂ ದೇವರಾಜ್ (28) ಜೈಲು ಶಿಕ್ಷೆಗೆ ಗುರಿಯಾದವರೆಂದು ಗುರುತಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಜೈಲು ಶಿಕ್ಷೆಯ ಜೊತೆಗೆ 1.74 ಲಕ್ಷ ರೂ. ದಂಡ ವಿಧಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ.
ನ್ಯಾಯಾಧೀಶರಾದ ಇಂದಿರಾ ಮೈಲಸ್ವಾಮಿ ಚೆಟ್ಟಿಯಾರ್ ಅವರು ಈ ತೀರ್ಪು ನೀಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಸರ್ಕಾರದ ಪರವಾಗಿ ಸರ್ಕಾರಿ ಅಭಿಯೋಜಕರಾದ ರತ್ನಮ್ಮ ಪಿ ಅವರು ವಾದ ಮಂಡಿಸಿದ್ದರು.
ಪ್ರಕರಣದ ಹಿನ್ನೆಲೆ : 28/07/2020 ರಂದು ಭದ್ರಾವತಿ ತಾಲೂಕು ಲಕ್ಷ್ಮೀಪುರ ಗ್ರಾಮದ ಜಮೀನಿನಲ್ಲಿ ದೂರುದಾರರು ಕೆಲಸ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾಗ, ಪ್ರಸ್ತುತ ಶಿಕ್ಷೆಗೊಳಗಾದ ಆರು ಜನರು ಗಲಾಟೆ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದರು. ಅವ್ಯಾಚ್ಯ ಶಬ್ದಗಳಿಂದ ನಿಂದಿಸಿದ್ದರು.
ಈ ಸಂಬಂಧ ಭದ್ರಾವತಿ ನ್ಯೂಟೌನ್ ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ಠಾಣೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಪರಿಶಿಷ್ಟ ಜಾತಿ ಹಾಗೂ ಪರಿಶಿಷ್ಟ ಪಂಗಡ ದೌರ್ಜನ್ಯ ಕಾಯ್ದೆಯಡಿ ಪ್ರಕರಣ ದಾಖಲಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಅಂದಿನ ಡಿವೈಎಸ್ಪಿ ಸುಧಾಕರ್ ಎಸ್ ನಾಯ್ಕ್ ರವರು ಪ್ರಕರಣದ ತನಿಖೆ ನಡೆಸಿ, ನ್ಯಾಯಾಲಯಕ್ಕೆ ಆರೋಪಪಟ್ಟಿ ದಾಖಲಿಸಿದ್ದರು.
Bhadravati: Conviction in Abuse and Death Threat Case – 6 People Sentenced to 2 Years Rigorous Imprisonment
Bhadravati, March 20: In connection with a case where a person was verbally abused with obscene language and threatened with death, six individuals have been sentenced to two years of rigorous imprisonment. The verdict was delivered by the 4th Additional District and Sessions Court in Bhadravati.
The convicted individuals are identified as Gautami (30), Nagaraj (56), Raghavendra (35), Nagaratna (54), Lakshmamma (40), and Devaraj (28). Along with the prison sentence, they have also been fined ₹1.74 lakh. The judgment was pronounced by Judge Indira Mailaswami Chettiar. Government prosecutor Ratnamma P represented the state in the case.
Case Background: On July 28, 2020, when the complainant was working in farmland at Lakshmipur village in Bhadravati taluk, the six accused created a disturbance and verbally abused him with obscene words. Following this, a case was registered at Bhadravati Newtown Police Station under the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act. Then-DYSP Sudhakar S. Naik investigated the matter and filed the chargesheet in court.
