ತೀರ್ಥಹಳ್ಳಿ (thirthahalli), ಮಾರ್ಚ್ 27: ತೀರ್ಥಹಳ್ಳಿ ತಾಲೂಕಿನ ಆಗುಂಬೆ ಘಾಟ್ ರಸ್ತೆಯ 4 ನೇ ತಿರುವಿನ ಬಳಿ, ಮಾರ್ಚ್ 27 ರ ಬೆಳಿಗ್ಗೆ 6.45 ರ ಸರಿಸುಮಾರಿಗೆ ಮರವೊಂದು ರಸ್ತೆ ಮಧ್ಯ ಭಾಗ ಉರುಳಿಬಿದ್ದ ಪರಿಣಾಮ, ಸರಿಸುಮಾರು 1 ಗಂಟೆಗೂ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಕಾಲ ವಾಹನ ಸಂಚಾರ ಅಸ್ತವ್ಯಸ್ತವಾಗಿದ್ದ ಘಟನೆ ನಡೆದಿದೆ.
ವಿಷಯ ತಿಳಿಯುತ್ತಿದ್ದಂತೆ ಸ್ಥಳಕ್ಕಾಗಮಿಸಿದ ಆಗುಂಬೆ ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ಠಾಣೆ ಸಬ್ ಇನ್ಸ್’ಪೆಕ್ಟರ್ ಶಿವನಗೌಡರವರು, ಅರಣ್ಯ ಇಲಾಖೆ ಸೇರಿದಂತೆ ಸ್ಥಳೀಯರ ಸಹಕಾರದೊಂದಿಗೆ ರಸ್ತೆ ಮೇಲೆ ಬಿದ್ದ ಮರವನ್ನು ತೆರವುಗೊಳಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಈ ಮೂಲಕ ಆಗುಂಬೆ ಘಾಟ್ ರಸ್ತೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸುಗಮ ವಾಹನ ಸಂಚಾರಕ್ಕೆ ಅವಕಾಶ ಕಲ್ಪಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ಅಸ್ತವ್ಯಸ್ತ : ಭಾರೀ ಗಾತ್ರದ ಮರ ರಸ್ತೆಗೆ ಅಡ್ಡಲಾಗಿ ಬಿದ್ದಿತ್ತು. ಇದರಿಂದ ಶಿವಮೊಗ್ಗ – ಉಡುಪಿ ನಡುವಿನ ವಾಹನ ಸಂಚಾರ ಬಂದ್ ಆಗುವಂತಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಎರಡೂ ಕಡೆ ನೂರಾರು ವಾಹನಗಳು ಸಾಲುಗಟ್ಟಿ ನಿಂತಿದ್ದವು.
ಮರ ಬಿದ್ದ ವಿಷಯ ತಿಳಿಯುತ್ತಿದ್ದಂತೆ ಎರಡು ಕಡೆಯ ಚೆಕ್ ಪೋಸ್ಟ್ಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಹನಗಳನ್ನು ತಡೆದು, ಟ್ರಾಫಿಕ್ ಕಂಟ್ರೋಲ್ ಮಾಡಲಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಸಮರೋಪಾದಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮರ ತೆರವು ಕಾರ್ಯಾಚರಣೆ ನಡೆಸಿದ ನಂತರ, ಘಾಟ್ ರಸ್ತೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಹನ ಸಂಚಾರಕ್ಕೆ ಅವಕಾಶ ಕಲ್ಪಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ.
Tree Falls on Agumbe Ghat Road: Clearance Operation Led by PSI Shivanagowda
Thirthahalli, March 27: At around 6:45 a.m. on March 27, a tree fell across the middle of the road near the 4th curve of the Agumbe Ghat in Thirthahalli taluk. As a result, vehicular traffic was disrupted for more than an hour.
Upon receiving information, Agumbe Police Station Sub-Inspector Shivanagowda, along with the Forest Department and local residents, carried out a clearance operation to remove the fallen tree. This restored smooth traffic movement on the Agumbe Ghat road.
Disruption: The large tree had fallen across the road, blocking traffic between Shivamogga and Udupi. Hundreds of vehicles were stranded on both sides.
As soon as the incident was reported, vehicles were stopped at both check posts to control traffic. After the tree was cleared in a coordinated operation, traffic flow on the ghat road was restored.
