ಶಿವಮೊಗ್ಗ (shivamogga), ಜೂನ್ 08: ಪತ್ನಿಗೆ ವರದಕ್ಷಿಣೆ ಕಿರುಕುಳದ ಪ್ರಕರಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಪತಿಗೆ 3 ವರ್ಷ ಜೈಲು ಶಿಕ್ಷೆ ವಿಧಿಸಿ, ಶಿವಮೊಗ್ಗದ 2ನೇ ಜೆಎಂಎಫ್’ಸಿ ನ್ಯಾಯಾಲಯ 28-05-2026 ರಂದು ತೀರ್ಪು ನೀಡಿದೆ.
ಶಿವಮೊಗ್ಗದ ಹೊರವಲಯ ಹುಣಸೋಡು ನಿವಾಸಿಯಾದ ಶ್ರೀನಿವಾಸ್ ಜೈಲು ಶಿಕ್ಷೆಗೆ ಗುರಿಯಾದ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿ ಎಂದು ಗುರುತಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಜೈಲು ಶಿಕ್ಷೆಯ ಜೊತೆಗೆ 10 ಸಾವಿರ ರೂ. ದಂಡ ಕೂಡ ನ್ಯಾಯಾಲಯ ವಿಧಿಸಿದೆ.
ನ್ಯಾಯಾಧೀಶರಾದ ಸಿದ್ದರಾಜು ಎನ್ ಕೆ ಅವರು ಈ ತೀರ್ಪು ನೀಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಸರ್ಕಾರದ ಪರವಾಗಿ ಸರ್ಕಾರಿ ಅಭಿಯೋಜಕರಾದ ಜಿ ಕೆ ಕಿರಣ್ ಕುಮಾರ್ ಅವರು ವಾದ ಮಂಡಿಸಿದ್ದರು.
ಪ್ರಕರಣದ ಹಿನ್ನೆಲೆ : ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನ ವರದಕ್ಷಿಣೆ ತರುವಂತೆ ಅಪರಾಧಿ ಶ್ರೀನಿವಾಸ್, ಪತ್ನಿಗೆ 2023 ರಲ್ಲಿ ಕಿರುಕುಳ ನೀಡಿದ್ದ. ಈ ಸಂಬಂಧ ಪತ್ನಿಯು ಶಿವಮೊಗ್ಗದ ಮಹಿಳಾ ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ಠಾಣೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ದೂರು ದಾಖಲಿಸಿದ್ದರು. ಪೊಲೀಸರು ಪ್ರಕರಣದ ತನಿಖೆ ನಡೆಸಿ ನ್ಯಾಯಾಲಯಕ್ಕೆ ದೋಷಾರೋಪಣ ಪಟ್ಟಿ ದಾಖಲಿಸಿದ್ದರು.
Dowry harassment of wife: Husband sentenced to prison
Shivamogga, June 08: The 2nd JMFC Court of Shivamogga has sentenced a husband to 3 years in prison in a case of dowry harassment of his wife, and the verdict was given on 28-05-2026.
Srinivas, a resident of Hunasodu on the outskirts of Shivamogga, has been identified as the person sentenced to prison. In addition to the prison sentence, the court has also imposed a fine of Rs. 10 thousand.
Judge Siddharaju NK gave this verdict. Government prosecutor GK Kiran Kumar argued on behalf of the government.
Background of the case: The convict Srinivas had harassed his wife in 2023 to bring more dowry. The wife had filed a complaint in this regard at the Shivamogga Women’s Police Station. The police investigated the case and filed a charge sheet in the court.
