ಹೊಸನಗರ (hosanagar), ಜನವರಿ 19: ಸೇತುವೆ ಮೇಲಿಂದ ಆಯತಪ್ಪಿ ಜಲಾಯಶದ ಹಿನ್ನೀರಿಗೆ ಬೈಕ್ ಸಮೇತ ಬಿದ್ದು ನಿವೃತ್ತ ಶಿಕ್ಷಕರೋರ್ವರು ಮೃತಪಟ್ಟ ಘಟನೆ, ಶಿವಮೊಗ್ಗ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯ ಹೊಸನಗರ ತಾಲೂಕಿನ ನಗರ ಸಮೀಪದ ಸೋಮವಾರ ಪೇಟೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆದಿದೆ.
ಗಣೇಶ್ (61) ಮೃತಪಟ್ಟ ನಿವೃತ್ತ ಶಿಕ್ಷಕರೆಂದು ಗುರುತಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಇವರು ಹೊಸನಗರ ತಾಲೂಕಿನ ಸಂಪೆಕಟ್ಟೆ ಸರ್ಕಾರಿ ಪ್ರೌಢಶಾಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮುಖ್ಯ ಶಿಕ್ಷಕರಾಗಿ ಕಾರ್ಯನಿರ್ವಹಿಸಿ, ಕಳೆದ ಒಂದು ತಿಂಗಳ ಹಿಂದಷ್ಟೆ ಸೇವೆಯಿಂದ ನಿವೃತ್ತರಾಗಿದ್ದರು.
ಕಳೆದ ಜನವರಿ 17 ರ ಶನಿವಾರದಂದು ಗಣೇಶ್ ಅವರು ಕಾರ್ಯನಿಮಿತ್ತ ಬೈಕ್ ನಲ್ಲಿ ನಗರದಿಂದ ಬಸವನಬ್ಯಾಣದ ಕಡೆ ತೆರಳುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾಗ, ಸೇತುವೆ ಮೇಲಿಂದ ಆಯತಪ್ಪಿ ಬೈಕ್ ಸಮೇತ ಹಿನ್ನೀರಿಗೆ ಬಿದ್ದಿದ್ದರು.
ನೀರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಬೈಕ್ ಹಾಗೂ ಮೃತದೇಹ ತೇಲುತ್ತಿರುವುದನ್ನು ಗಮನಿಸಿದ ಸಾರ್ವಜನಿಕರು ಪೊಲೀಸರಿಗೆ ಮಾಹಿತಿ ನೀಡಿದ್ದರು. ವಿಷಯ ತಿಳಿದು ಸ್ಥಳಕ್ಕಾಗಮಿಸಿದ ನಗರ ಠಾಣೆ ಪೊಲೀಸರು ಉಕ್ಕಡದ ಮೂಲಕ ಕಾರ್ಯಾಚರಣೆ ನಡೆಸಿ, ಶವವನ್ನು ದಡಕ್ಕೆ ತಂದಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಈ ಸಂಬಂಧ ನಗರ ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ಠಾಣೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಕರಣ ದಾಖಲಾಗಿದೆ.
Hosnagar: Retired Teacher Dies After Falling Off Bridge With Bike! | Hosnagar, January 19: A tragic incident occurred near Somavara Pete in Hosnagar taluk of Shivamogga district, where a retired teacher lost his life after accidentally falling off a bridge into the backwaters along with his bike. The deceased has been identified as Ganesh (61), who had served as the headmaster at Sampekatte Government High School in Hosnagar taluk and retired from service just a month ago. On Saturday, January 17, Ganesh was traveling by bike from the town towards Basavanabyan for work-related purposes. While crossing the bridge, he accidentally slipped and fell into the backwaters along with the bike. Locals noticed the bike and the body floating in the water and immediately informed the police. Upon receiving the information, Hosnagar police rushed to the spot, conducted operations using ropes, and brought the body to the shore.
