Shivamogga, September 29: The lake located in the Sominakoppa locality (Ward 1) of the Shivamogga City Corporation is the largest lake not only in the city but in the entire taluk However due to gross administrative negligence and a lack of proper maintenance it has become a site of utter disarray. Consequently, school students and citizens venturing into the lake to swim are losing their lives.
