Shivamogga, September 13: The Ganesha festival celebration held on September 14 at Press Colony in Shivamogga city served as a platform for a public awareness campaign. Citizens took a pledge against the use of narcotics! The ‘Beda Bro’ (Say No, Bro) campaign against narcotics was organized at the site where the Ganesha idol was installed on Bhagat Singh Road. Citizens took a pledge before the Ganesha idol, vowing not to use any form of narcotics—including cannabis and opium—and committing to join hands in building a strong and healthy society.
