ಶಿವಮೊಗ್ಗ (shivamogga), ಮಾರ್ಚ್ 20: ಶಿವಮೊಗ್ಗದ ಹೊರವಲಯ ತ್ಯಾವರೆಕೊಪ್ಪ ಲಯನ್ ಸಫಾರಿ (ಹುಲಿ – ಸಿಂಹಾಧಾಮ) ಯಲ್ಲಿ ಘನಘೋರ ದುರಂತವೊಂದು ಸಂಭವಿಸಿದೆ. ನೀರಾನೆ ದಾಳಿಯಿಂದ ಯುವ ಪಶು ವೈದ್ಯೆಯೋರ್ವರು ಮೃತಪಟ್ಟ ಆತಂಕಕಾರಿ ಘಟನೆ ಮಾರ್ಚ್ 19 ರ ರಾತ್ರಿ ನಡೆದಿದೆ,.
ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು ಮೂಲದ ಡಾ. ಸಮೀಕ್ಷಾ ರೆಡ್ಡಿ (27) ಮೃತಪಟ್ಟ ಯುವ ವೈದ್ಯೆ ಎಂದು ಗುರುತಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಇವರು ಇತ್ತೀಚೆಗಷ್ಟೆ ಗುತ್ತಿಗೆ ಆಧಾರದ ಮೇಲೆ ಲಯನ್ ಸಫಾರಿಯ ಪಶುವೈದ್ಯೆ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಯಾಗಿ ನೇಮಕಗೊಂಡಿದ್ದರು. ತರಬೇತಿಯಲ್ಲಿದ್ದರು.
ರಾತ್ರಿ 10.30 ರ ಸರಿಸುಮಾರಿಗೆ ಸನ್ ಕಾನರ್ ಹಕ್ಕಿಯ ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆಗೆಂದು ಮೃಗಾಲಯದ ಆಸ್ಪತ್ರೆಗೆ ಅವರು ಆಗಮಿಸಿದ್ದರು,. ತದನಂತರ 11.45 ರ ಸರಿಸುಮಾರಿಗೆ ನೀರಾನೆಯಿದ್ದ ಸ್ಥಳಕ್ಕೆ ಆಗಮಿಸಿದ್ದರಾರೆ.
ಈ ವೇಳೆ ಗರ್ಭೀಣಿ ನೀರಾನೆಯ ದೇಹದ ಉಷ್ಣತೆಯನ್ನು ಥರ್ಮಲ್ ಕ್ಯಾಮರಾ ಮೂಲಕ ಪರೀಕ್ಷಿಸಲು ಮುಂದಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಈ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ದಿಡೀರ್ ಆಗಿ ನೀರಾನೆಯು ಇವರ ಮೇಲೆ ದಾಳಿ ನಡೆಸಿ ಗಾಯಗೊಳಿಸಿತ್ತು.
ಗಂಭೀರವಾಗಿ ಗಾಯಗೊಂಡಿದ್ದ ಸಮೀಕ್ಷಾ ರೆಡ್ಡಿಯವರನ್ನು ತಕ್ಷಣವೇ ಶಿವಮೊಗ್ಗದ ಖಾಸಗಿ ಸೂಪರ್ ಸ್ಪೆಷಾಲಿಟಿ ಆಸ್ಪತ್ರೆಯೊಂದಕ್ಕೆ ದಾಖಲಿಸಲಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಆದರೆ ಮಾರ್ಚ್ 20 ರ ಬೆಳಿಗ್ಗೆ6.30 ರ ಸರಿಸುಮಾರಿಗೆ ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆ ಫಲಕಾರಿಯಾಗದೆ ಅಸುನೀಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ಶಾಕ್ : ಲಯನ್ ಸಫಾರಿ ಇತಿಹಾಸದಲ್ಲಿ ಪಶುವೈದ್ಯರೋರ್ವರು, ಪ್ರಾಣಿಗಳ ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆ ವೇಳೆ ದಾಳಿಗೊಳಗಾಗಿ ಮೃತಪಟ್ಟ ಊದಾಹರಣೆಯಿಲ್ಲ. ಸಮೀಕ್ಷಾ ರೆಡ್ಡಿಯವರ ಸಾವು ಸಫರಾರಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ದಿಗ್ಭ್ರಮೆ ಉಂಟು ಮಾಡಿದೆ. ರಾತ್ರಿ ವೇಳೆ ನಡೆದ ಸದರಿ ಘಟನೆಯ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಕುರಿತಂತೆ ಸಾಕಷ್ಟು ಚರ್ಚೆ ನಡೆಯುತ್ತಿದೆ. ಉನ್ನತ ಮಟ್ಟದ ತನಿಖೆಯ ನಂತರವಷ್ಟೆ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನ ವಿವರಗಳು ತಿಳಿದುಬರಬೇಕಾಗಿದೆ.
Tragedy at Shivamogga Lion Safari: Young Veterinarian Dies After Hippopotamus Attack
Shivamogga, March 15: A tragic incident occurred at the Tyavarekoppa Lion Safari (Tiger–Lion Reserve) on the outskirts of Shivamogga. A young veterinarian lost her life following an attack by a hippopotamus on the night of March 19.
The deceased has been identified as Dr. Sameeksha Reddy (27), originally from Bengaluru. She had recently been appointed on a contract basis as the safari’s veterinary officer and was still undergoing training.
Around 10:30 p.m., she had gone to the safari hospital to treat a sun conure bird. Later, at about 11:45 p.m., she went to the enclosure where the hippopotamus was kept. She attempted to check the body temperature of a pregnant hippopotamus using a thermal camera. At that moment, the animal suddenly attacked her, causing severe injuries.
She was immediately rushed to a private super-specialty hospital in Shivamogga. Unfortunately, despite treatment, she succumbed to her injuries at 6:30 a.m. on March 20.
Shock: In the history of the Lion Safari, no veterinarian had ever lost their life while treating animals. Dr. Reddy’s death has left the safari staff and community deeply shaken. The incident, which occurred late at night, has sparked widespread discussion. More details are expected to emerge after a high-level investigation
