ಶಿಕಾರಿಪುರ, ಮೇ 26: ಶಿಕಾರಿಪುರ ಪಟ್ಟಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಬೀದಿ ನಾಯಿಗಳ ನಿಯಂತ್ರಣ ಹಾಗೂ ಇತ್ತೀಚೆಗೆ ನಡೆದ ನಾಯಿ ಕಡಿತದ ಪ್ರಕರಣಕ್ಕೆ ಸಂಬಂಧಿಸಿದಂತೆ ಮಾನ್ಯ ಸುಪ್ರೀಂ ಕೋರ್ಟ್ ಹಾಗೂ ಸರ್ಕಾರದ ಆದೇಶದಂತೆ, ಬೀದಿ ನಾಯಿಗಳನ್ನು ಹಿಡಿದು ಸಂತಾನ ಹರಣ ಶಸ್ತ್ರಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆ(ಎಬಿಸಿ) ನಡೆಸಿ, ಆರೈಕೆ ಮಾಡಿದ ನಂತರ ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ಯಾವ ಸ್ಥಳದಿಂದ ಹಿಡಿಯಲಾಗಿದ್ದಿತೋ ಅದೇ ಸ್ಥಳಕ್ಕೆ ಮರಳಿ ಬಿಡಲು ನಿಯಮಗಳನ್ನು ರೂಪಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ.

ಇದರನ್ವಯ ಶಿಕಾರಿಪುರ ಪುರಸಭೆಯಿಂದ 2024-25ನೇ ಸಾಲಿನಲ್ಲಿ 711 ಬೀದಿ ನಾಯಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಹಾಗೂ 2025-26ನೇ ಸಾಲಿನಲ್ಲಿ 110 ಬೀದಿ ನಾಯಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಸಂತಾನ ಹರಣ ಶಸ್ತ್ರಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆ ಮಾಡಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಪ್ರಸಕ್ತ 2026-27ನೇ ಸಾಲಿನಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಎಬಿಸಿ ಪ್ರಕ್ರಿಯೆ ನಡೆಸಲು ಟೆಂಡರ್ ಪ್ರಕ್ರಿಯೆ ಪೂರ್ಣಗೊಂಡಿದ್ದು, ಪ್ರಸ್ತುತ ಇದು ಅನುಷ್ಠಾನದ ಹಂತದಲ್ಲಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಪುರಸಭೆ ತಿಳಿಸಿದೆ.

ಪರಿಹಾರ ವಿತರಣೆ: ದಿನಾಂಕ 21-05-2026 ರಂದು ಶಿಕಾರಿಪುರ ಪಟ್ಟಣದ ಚನ್ನಕೇಶವನಗರದ 6ನೇ ಕ್ರಾಸ್ ಹಾಗೂ ವಿನಾಯಕನಗರದ 8ನೇ ಕ್ರಾಸ್‌ನಲ್ಲಿ ಇಬ್ಬರು ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗೆ ಬೀದಿ ನಾಯಿ ಕಚ್ಚಿದ ಪ್ರಕರಣ ನಡೆದಿದೆ. ಈ ಹಿನ್ನೆಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಪುರಸಭೆಯು ತಕ್ಷಣವೇ ಸ್ಪಂದಿಸಿ, ನೊಂದ ಮಕ್ಕಳ ಕುಟುಂಬದವರನ್ನು ಭೇಟಿಯಾಗಿ ಸಾಂತ್ವನ ಹೇಳಿದೆ. ಅಲ್ಲದೆ, ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗೆ ಸೂಕ್ತ ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆ ಪಡೆಯುವಂತೆ ಸೂಚಿಸಿದ್ದು, ಸರ್ಕಾರದ ಆದೇಶದಂತೆ ತಲಾ 5,000/- ರೂ.ಗಳ ಪರಿಹಾರ ಧನವನ್ನು ವಿತರಿಸಲು ಕ್ರಮ ಕೈಗೊಳ್ಳಲಾಗಿದೆ.

ಸಾರ್ವಜನಿಕರಿಗೆ ಪ್ರಮುಖ ಸೂಚನೆಗಳು:

ಬೀದಿ ನಾಯಿಗಳ ಹಾವಳಿ ಮತ್ತು ನಾಯಿ ಕಡಿತದ ಪ್ರಕರಣಗಳಿಂದ ಮುಕ್ತಿ ಪಡೆಯಲು ಸಾರ್ವಜನಿಕರು ರಾತ್ರಿ ವೇಳೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಎಲ್ಲೆಂದರಲ್ಲಿ ಬೀದಿ ನಾಯಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಆಹಾರ ಪದಾರ್ಥಗಳನ್ನು ಹಾಕಬಾರದು.

ಪುರಸಭೆಯಿಂದ ನಿಗದಿಪಡಿಸಲಾದ ನಿಗದಿತ ಸ್ಥಳಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಮಾತ್ರ ಆಹಾರ ಪದಾರ್ಥಗಳನ್ನು ಹಾಕಬೇಕು.

ಸಣ್ಣ ಮಕ್ಕಳು ಮತ್ತು ವಯೋವೃದ್ಧರನ್ನು ಒಂಟಿಯಾಗಿ ಬಿಡದೆ, ಸುರಕ್ಷಿತವಾಗಿ ನೋಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕು.

ಸಾಕು ನಾಯಿಗಳ ಮಾಲೀಕರು ಶಿಕಾರಿಪುರ ಪುರಸಭೆಯಿಂದ ಕಡ್ಡಾಯವಾಗಿ ಅನುಮತಿ (ಲೈಸೆನ್ಸ್) ಪಡೆಯಬೇಕು.

ಈ ಮೇಲ್ಕಂಡ ನಿಯಮಗಳನ್ನು ಪಾಲಿಸಿ, ನಾಯಿ ಕಡಿತದ ಪ್ರಕರಣ ಮುಕ್ತ ಪಟ್ಟಣವನ್ನಾಗಿಸಲು ಸಾರ್ವಜನಿಕರು ಶಿಕಾರಿಪುರ ಪುರಸಭೆಯೊಂದಿಗೆ ಕೈಜೋಡಿಸಬೇಕಾಗಿ ಶಿಕಾರಿಪುರ ಪುರಸಭೆ ಮುಖ್ಯಾಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳು ಪ್ರಕಟಣೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ವಿನಂತಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

Municipality Action on Stray Dog Control in Shikaripura: Guidelines Issued to the Public

Shikaripura, May 26:
In connection with stray dog control in Shikaripura town and recent dog bite incidents, as per the orders of the Hon’ble Supreme Court and the Government, rules have been framed to capture stray dogs, conduct Animal Birth Control (ABC) surgery, provide care, and then release them back at the same location from where they were caught.

Accordingly, Shikaripura Municipality has carried out sterilization surgery for 711 stray dogs in 2024–25 and 110 stray dogs in 2025–26. For the current year 2026–27, the tender process for ABC has been completed, and implementation is now underway, the Municipality stated.

Compensation Distribution:
On May 21, 2026, two children were bitten by stray dogs at Channakesavanagar 6th Cross and Vinayakanagar 8th Cross in Shikaripura town. In response, the Municipality immediately visited the families of the affected children, offered condolences, and ensured that the children received proper medical treatment. As per government orders, compensation of ₹5,000 each is being provided to the families.

Important Guidelines for the Public:

Do not feed stray dogs at random places, especially at night.
Food should only be given at designated spots fixed by the Municipality.
Do not leave small children or elderly people alone; ensure their safety.
Pet dog owners must compulsorily obtain a license from Shikaripura Municipality.

The Chief Officers of Shikaripura Municipality have requested the public to follow these rules and cooperate with the Municipality to make the town free from dog bite incident.
