ಶಿವಮೊಗ್ಗ (shivamogga), ಮೇ 31: ಶಿವಮೊಗ್ಗದ ವಿನೋಬನಗರ ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ಠಾಣೆ ವ್ಯಾಪ್ತಿಯ ಕಾಶೀಪುರ ಲಕ್ಕಪ್ಪ ಲೇಔಟ್ ನ ಮನೆಯೊಂದರಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆದ ಲಕ್ಷಾಂತರ ನಗದು ಕಳ್ಳತನ ಪ್ರಕರಣಕ್ಕೆ ಸಂಬಂಧಿಸಿದಂತೆ, ಇಬ್ಬರು ಆರೋಪಿಗಳನ್ನು ಪೊಲೀಸರು ಬಂಧಿಸುವಲ್ಲಿ ಸಫಲರಾಗಿದ್ಧಾರೆ.
ಶಿವಮೊಗ್ಗದ ಟಿಪ್ಪುನಗರದ ನಿವಾಸಿಗಳಾದ ಮೊಹಮ್ಮದ್ ಸಲೀಂ (27) ಹಾಗೂ ಮೊಹಮ್ಮದ್ ರಜಾಕ್ (26) ಬಂಧಿತ ಆರೋಪಿಗಳು ಎಂದು ಗುರುತಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಆರೋಪಿಗಳಿಂದ 5.13 ಲಕ್ಷ ರೂಪಾಯಿ ವಶಕ್ಕೆ ಪಡೆಯಲಾಗಿದೆ.
ಎಸ್ಪಿ ನಿಖಿಲ್ ಬಿ, ಎಎಸ್ಪಿ ಕಾರಿಯಪ್ಪ, ಡಿವೈಎಸ್ಪಿ ಸಂಜೀವ್ ಕುಮಾರ್ ಮಾರ್ಗದರ್ಶನದಲ್ಲಿ ಇನ್ಸ್’ಪೆಕ್ಟರ್ ಡಿ ಕೆ ಸಂತೋಷ್ ಕುಮಾರ್ ಉಸ್ತುವಾರಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸಬ್ ಇನ್ಸ್’ಪೆಕ್ಟರ್ ತಿರುಮಲೇಶ್ ಜಿ, ಸಿಬ್ಬಂದಿಗಳಾದ ರಾಜು ಕೆ ಆರ್, ಚಂದ್ರಾನಾಯ್ಕ್, ಮಲ್ಲಪ್ಪ ಎಸ್ ಜಿ, ಅರುಣ್ ಕುಮಾರ್, ಮನು ಶಂಕರ್ ರವರು ಆರೋಪಿಗಳನ್ನು ಬಂಧಿಸುವಲ್ಲಿ ಸಫಲರಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ಪ್ರಕರಣದ ಹಿನ್ನೆಲೆ : 26/05/2026 ರ ಮಧ್ಯಾಹ್ನ ಲಕ್ಕಪ್ಪ ಲೇ ಔಟ್ 2 ನೇ ಕ್ರಾಸ್ ನಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಮನೆಯೊಂದರಲ್ಲಿ 7 ಲಕ್ಷ ರೂಪಾಯಿ ಕಳ್ಳತನ ಮಾಡಲಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಈ ಕುರಿತಂತೆ ಸೋಮಶೇಖರ್ ಎಂಬುವರು ಮೇ 27 ರ ರಾತ್ರಿ ಪೊಲೀಸರಿಗೆ ದೂರು ನೀಡಿದ್ದರು. ಪ್ರಕರಣ ದಾಖಲಾದ ಕೆಲ ದಿನಗಳಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ಆರೋಪಿಗಳನ್ನು ಬಂಧಿಸುವಲ್ಲಿ ಪೊಲೀಸರು ಸಫಲರಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
Theft case in Kashipur Lakkappa Layout, Shivamogga: Two arrested!
Shivamogga, May 31: Police from Vinobanagar station in Shivamogga have successfully arrested two accused in connection with a theft case involving lakhs of rupees at a house in Kashipur Lakkappa Layout.
The arrested are residents of Tippunagar, Shivamogga — Mohammad Saleem (27) and Mohammad Razak (26). Police recovered ₹5.13 lakh from them.
Under the guidance of SP Nikhil B, ASP Kariappa, and DySP Sanjeev Kumar, Inspector D.K. Santosh Kumar led the operation, with Sub-Inspector Thirumalesh G and staff members Raju K.R., Chandranayak, Mallappa S.G., Arun Kumar, and Manu Shankar playing key roles in apprehending the accused.
Case background: On May 26, 2026, in the afternoon, a theft of ₹7 lakh was committed at a house on 2nd Cross, Lakkappa Layout. Somasekhar lodged a complaint with the police on the night of May 27. Within just a few days of registering the case, police succeeded in arresting the culprits.
