ಶಿವಮೊಗ್ಗ, ಆಗಸ್ಟ್ 26: ಶಿವಮೊಗ್ಗ ನಗರದ ಹೊರವಲಯ ಅಬ್ಬಲಗೆರೆ ಮೂಲಕ ಹಾದು ಹೋಗಿರುವ ತುಂಗಾ ನಾಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ, ಆಗಸ್ಟ್ 26 ರಂದು ಈಜಾಡಲು ತೆರಳಿದ್ದ ವೇಳೆ ನೀರುಪಾಲಾಗಿದ್ದ ಬಾಲಕನ ಶೋಧ ಕಾರ್ಯಾಚರಣೆಯನ್ನು ಗುರುವಾರ ಕೂಡ ಅಗ್ನಿಶಾಮಕದ ದಳ ನಡೆಸಿತು. ಆದರೆ ಬಾಲಕನ ಸುಳಿವು ಲಭ್ಯವಾಗಿಲ್ಲ.
ತುಂಗಾ ನಾಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ನೀರಿನ ಹರಿವು ಹೆಚ್ಚಿರುವ ಕಾರಣದಿಂದ, ಶೋಧ ಕಾರ್ಯಾಚರಣೆಗೆ ಹಿನ್ನಡೆಯಾಗುವಂತಾಗಿದೆ. ಇದರಿಂದ ಆಕ್ರೋಶಗೊಂಡ ಸಾರ್ವಜನಿಕರು, ತುಂಗಾ ಜಲಾಶಯದಿಂದ ನಾಲೆಗೆ ಹರಿಬಿಡುತ್ತಿರುವ ನೀರನ್ನು ಸ್ಥಗಿತಗೊಳಿಸುವಂತೆ ಆಗ್ರಹಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ಹಾಗೆಯೇಉದ್ರಿಕ್ತ ನಾಗರಿಕರು ಅಬ್ಬಲಗೆರೆ ಹೆದ್ದಾರಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ರಸ್ತೆ ತಡೆ ನಡೆಸಿ ಆಕ್ರೋಶ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಪಡಿಸಿದ ಘಟನೆ ಕೂಡ ನಡೆಯಿತು. ನಾಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ನೀರಿನ ಹರಿವು ಕಡಿಮೆ ಮಾಡುವ ಭರವಸೆ ದೊರಕಿದ ಹಿನ್ನೆಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ, ನಾಗರಿಕರು ಪ್ರತಿಭಟನೆ ಕೈಬಿಟ್ಟಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ಲಭ್ಯವಾಗದ ಸುಳಿವು : ಸ್ನೇಹಿತರೊಂದಿಗೆ ಈಜಾಡಲು ತೆರಳಿದ್ದ ಬೊಮ್ಮನಕಟ್ಟೆಯ ಬಂಗಾರಪ್ಪ ಆಶ್ರಯ ಬಡಾವಣೆಯ ನಿವಾಸಿ, ಖಾಸಗಿ ಶಾಲೆಯೊಂದರಲ್ಲಿ ಎಸ್ಎಸ್ಎಲ್’ಸಿ ಅಭ್ಯಾಸ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿರುವ ಕೃಷ್ಣ (16) ಎಂಬ ಬಾಲಕ ಬುಧವಾರ ಸಂಜೆ ನೀರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಮುಳುಗಿ ಕಣ್ಮರೆಯಾಗಿದ್ದ.
ಸಂಜೆಯವರೆಗೂ ಅಗ್ನಿಶಾಮಕ ದಳ ನಾಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಬಾಲಕನಿಗಾಗಿ ಶೋಧ ಕಾರ್ಯ ನಡೆಸಿತ್ತು. ಕತ್ತಲೆಯಾದ ಕಾರಣದಿಂದ ಶೋಧ ಕಾರ್ಯಾಚರಣೆ ಸ್ಥಗಿತಗೊಳಿಸಿತ್ತು. ಗುರುವಾರ ಬೆಳಿಗ್ಗೆಯಿಂದ ಮತ್ತೆ ಶೋಧ ನಡೆಸಿದರೂ ಬಾಲಕನ ಸುಳಿವು ಲಭ್ಯವಾಗಿಲ್ಲ.
