ಶಿವಮೊಗ್ಗ (shivamogga), ಮಾರ್ಚ್ 07: ಶಿವಮೊಗ್ಗದ ಬಸವೇಶ್ವರ ನಗರ 2 ನೇ ಹಂತದ ಮುಖ್ಯ ರಸ್ತೆಯ ಕಾಲುವೆ ಸೇತುವೆ ಬಳಿ ಕಾಣಿಸಿಕೊಂಡ ಬೃಹದಾಕಾರದ ಹೆಬ್ಬಾವನ್ನು, ಉರಗ ಸಂರಕ್ಷಕ ಸ್ನೇಕ್ ಕಿರಣ್ ಅವರು ಸುರಕ್ಷಿತವಾಗಿ ಸಂರಕ್ಷಿಸಿದ ಘಟನೆ ಮಾರ್ಚ್ 06 ರ ರಾತ್ರಿ ನಡೆದಿದೆ.
ಸೇತುವೆ ಬಳಿ ಹಾವು ಓಡಾಡುತ್ತರುವುದನ್ನು ಗಮನಿಸಿದ ಸ್ಥಳೀಯ ನಿವಾಸಿಗಳು, ಕಿರಣ್ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಮಾಹಿತಿ ರವಾನಿಸಿದ್ದರು. ಸ್ಥಳಕ್ಕಾಗಮಿಸಿದ ಕಿರಣ್ ಅವರು ಸಾಕಷ್ಟು ಹರಸಾಹಸದ ಮೂಲಕ ಹೆಬ್ಬಾವನ್ನು ಹಿಡಿದಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
‘ಸದರಿ ಹೆಬ್ಬಾವು 8 ಅಡಿ ಉದ್ದ ಹಾಗೂ 15 ಕೆಜಿ ತೂಕವಿದೆ. ಸದರಿ ಹಾವನ್ನು ಅರಣ್ಯ ಇಲಾಖೆ ಶಂಕರ ವಲಯ ಸಿಬ್ಬಂದಿಗಳ ಸಮ್ಮುಖದಲ್ಲಿ ಕಾಡಿಗೆ ಬಿಡಲಾಯಿತು’ ಎಂದು ಸ್ನೇಕ್ ಕಿರಣ್ ಅವರು ಮಾಹಿತಿ ನೀಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
‘ಹಾವುಗಳು ಸಾರ್ವಜನಿಕ ಸ್ಥಳಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಪತ್ತೆಯಾದ ವೇಳೆ ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ಸಾಯಿಸಬೇಡಿ. ತಮಗೆ ಮಾಹಿತಿ ನೀಡಿದರೆ ಸುರಕ್ಷಿತವಾಗಿ ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ಹಿಡಿದು ಕಾಡಿಗೆ ಬಿಡಲಾಗುವುದು’ ಎಂದು ಕಿರಣ್ ಅವರು ನಾಗರಿಕರಿಗೆ ಮನವಿ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
Shivamogga: Giant Python on Basaveshwara Nagar Road!
Shivamogga, March 07: On the night of March 06, a giant python was spotted near the canal bridge on the main road of Basaveshwara Nagar, 2nd Stage, Shivamogga. Snake rescuer Snake Kiran safely captured and relocated the reptile.
Local residents noticed the python moving near the bridge and informed Kiran. He arrived at the spot and, after considerable effort, managed to catch the snake.
“The python is 8 feet long and weighs about 15 kg. It was released into the forest in the presence of staff from the Shankar Forest Division,” Kiran said.
He also appealed to citizens: “When snakes are found in public places, please don’t kill them. If you inform us, they will be safely captured and released into the forest.”
