ಶಿವಮೊಗ್ಗ (shivamogga), ಏಪ್ರಿಲ್ 29: ಶಿವಮೊಗ್ಗ ನಗರಕ್ಕೆ ಹೊಂದಿಕೊಂಡಂತಿರುವ ಬಸವನಗಂಗೂರು ಗ್ರಾಮದಲ್ಲಿ ತಲೆದೋರಿರುವ ನೀರಿನ ಅಭಾವ ಸದ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ಪರಿಹಾರವಾಗುವಂತೆ ಗೋಚರವಾಗುತ್ತಿಲ್ಲವಾಗಿದೆ. ಹೊಸದಾಗಿ ಕೊರೆಯಿಸಿರುವ ಬೋರ್’ವೆಲ್ ಗೆ ವಿದ್ಯುತ್ ಸಂಪರ್ಕ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥೆ ಕಲ್ಪಿಸದಿರುವುದರಿಂದ, ಇಲ್ಲಿಯವರೆಗೂ ಗ್ರಾಮಕ್ಕೆ ನೀರು ಪೂರೈಕೆಯಾಗುತ್ತಿಲ್ಲವೆಂದು ಗ್ರಾಮಸ್ಥರು ಆರೋಪಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ಬಸವನಗಂಗೂರು ಗ್ರಾಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಾವಿರಾರು ಜನರು ವಾಸಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಆದರೆ ನೀರಿನ ಅಭಾವವಿದೆ. ಈ ಕುರಿತಂತೆ ಉದಯ ಸಾಕ್ಷಿ ಡಿಜಟಲ್ ನ್ಯೂಸ್ ವಿಸ್ತೃತ ವರದಿ ಮಾಡಿತ್ತು. ವರದಿಯ ಬೆನ್ನಲ್ಲೇ, ಅಬ್ಬಲಗೆರೆ ಗ್ರಾಮ ಪಂಚಾಯ್ತಿ ಆಡಳಿತವು ಹೊಸದಾಗಿ ಬೋರ್’ವೆಲ್ ಕೊರೆಯಿಸಿತ್ತು.
ಸುಮಾರು 3 ಇಂಚು ನೀರು ಕೂಡ ಬೋರ್’ವೆಲ್ ನಲ್ಲಿ ಬಿದ್ದಿತ್ತು. ಹೊಸ ಬೋರ್’ವೆಲ್ ನಿಂದ ನೀರು ಪೂರೈಕೆ ಪೈಪ್ ಲೈನ್ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥೆ ಕೂಡ ಗ್ರಾಮ ಪಂಚಾಯ್ತಿ ಆಡಳಿತ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡಿತ್ತು. ಆದರೆ ಇಲ್ಲಿಯವರೆಗೂ ಮೆಸ್ಕಾಂ ಸದರಿ ಬೋರ್’ವೆಲ್ ಗೆ ವಿದ್ಯುತ್ ಸಂಪರ್ಕ ಕಲ್ಪಿಸಿಲ್ಲ. ಇದರಿಂದ ನೀರು ಪೂರೈಕೆಯಾಗುತ್ತಿಲ್ಲವೆಂಬ ಆರೋಪ ಗ್ರಾಮಸ್ಥರದ್ದಾಗಿದೆ.
ಒಂದೆಡೆ ಮುಖ್ಯಮಂತ್ರಿ ಸಿದ್ದರಾಮಯ್ಯರವರು ಬೇಸಿಗೆ ವೇಳೆ ನಾಗರಿಕರಿಗೆ ಸಮರ್ಪಕವಾಗಿ ನೀರು ಪೂರೈಸಿ. ನೀತಿ-ನಿಯಮಗಳನ್ನು ಮುಂದಿಟ್ಟುಕೊಂಡು ವಿಳಂಬ ಮಾಡದಂತೆ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಕಟ್ಟುನಿಟ್ಟಿನ ಸೂಚನೆ ನೀಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಆದರೆ ಮತ್ತೊಂದೆಡೆ, ಮೆಸ್ಕಾಂನಿಂದ ವಿದ್ಯುತ್ ಸಂಪರ್ಕ ಲಭ್ಯವಾಗದ ಕಾರಣದಿಂದ ಬಸವನಗಂಗೂರು ಗ್ರಾಮದಲ್ಲಿ ನೀರು ಪೂರೈಕೆಗೆ ಅಡೆತಡೆಯಾಗಿ ಪರಿಣಮಿಸಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಗ್ರಾಮಸ್ಥರು ಆಕ್ರೋಶ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಪಡಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ.
ಹೋರಾಟದ ಎಚ್ಚರಿಕೆ : ಬಸವನಗಂಗೂರು ಗ್ರಾಮದಲ್ಲಿ ತೀವ್ರ ಸ್ವರೂಪದ ನೀರಿನ ಸಮಸ್ಯೆಯಿದೆ. ತಕ್ಷಣವೇ ಮೆಸ್ಕಾಂ ನೂತನ ಬೋರ್’ವೆಲ್ ಗೆ ವಿದ್ಯುತ್ ಸಂಪರ್ಕ ಕಲ್ಪಿಸಬೇಕು. ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ನಗರಕ್ಕೆ ಪೂರೈಕೆಯಾಗುವ ವಿದ್ಯುತ್ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥೆಯನ್ನು ಗ್ರಾಮಕ್ಕೂ ಕಲ್ಪಿಸಬೇಕು. ಇಲ್ಲದಿದ್ದರೆ ಗ್ರಾಮ ಪಂಚಾಯ್ತಿ ಹಾಗೂ ಮೆಸ್ಕಾಂ ಕಚೇರಿಗಳ ಮುಂದೆ ಉಗ್ರ ಸ್ವರೂಪದ ಹೋರಾಟ ನಡೆಸಲಾಗುವುದು ಎಂದು ಸ್ಥಳೀಯರು ಎಚ್ಚರಿಕೆ ನೀಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ತುಂಗಾ ನದಿ ನೀರು ಪೂರೈಕೆಗೆ ಆಗ್ರಹ
*** ಬಸವನಗಂಗೂರು ಗ್ರಾಮವು ಶಿವಮೊಗ್ಗ ನಗರಕ್ಕೆ ಹೊಂದಿಕೊಂಡಂತಿದೆ. ಗ್ರಾಮಕ್ಕೆ ಹೊಂದಿಕೊಂಡಂತಿರುವ ಬೊಮ್ಮನಕಟ್ಟೆ ಬಡಾವಣೆಗೆ ತುಂಗಾ ನದಿಯಿಂದ ಕುಡಿಯುವ ನೀರು ಪೂರೈಕೆಯಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. ಇದೇ ನೀರನ್ನು ಬಸವನಗಂಗೂರು ಗ್ರಾಮಕ್ಕೂ ಪೂರೈಸಬೇಕು. ಬೋರ್’ವೆಲ್ ನೀರು ಕುಡಿಯಲು ಅಯೋಗ್ಯವಾಗಿದೆ. ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಅಡುಗೆ ಬಳಕೆ ಉತ್ತಮವಾಗಿಲ್ಲ. ಇದರಿಂದ ನಾಗರಿಕರ ಆರೋಗ್ಯದ ಮೇಲೆ ಪರಿಣಾಮ ಬೀರುತ್ತಿದೆ. ಈ ಕಾರಣದಿಂದ ತುಂಗಾ ನದಿ ನೀರನ್ನೇ ಗ್ರಾಮಕ್ಕೆ ಪೂರೈಕೆ ಮಾಡಲು ಕ್ರಮಕೈಗೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕು ಎಂದು ಗ್ರಾಮಸ್ಥರು ಒತ್ತಾಯಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

*** ಶಿವಮೊಗ್ಗ ನಗರಕ್ಕೆ ಸಮೀಪದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಅತ್ಯಂತ ದೊಡ್ಡ ಗ್ರಾಮಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಬಸವನಗಂಗೂರು ಕೂಡ ಒಂದಾಗಿದೆ. ಗ್ರಾಮದಲ್ಲಿ ತಲೆದೋರಿರುವ ನೀರಿನ ಸಮಸ್ಯೆ ಪರಿಹಾರಕ್ಕೆ ಶಾಶ್ವತ ಪರಿಹಾರ ಕಲ್ಪಿಸಬೇಕು. ನೂತನ ಬೋರ್’ವೆಲ್ ಗೆ ವಿದ್ಯುತ್ ಸಂಪರ್ಕ ಕಲ್ಪಿಸಬೇಕು. ನಗರ ವ್ಯಾಪ್ತಿಯಲ್ಲಿರುವ ವಿದ್ಯುತ್ ಪೂರೈಕೆಯನ್ನು ಗ್ರಾಮಕ್ಕೂ ಕಲ್ಪಿಸಬೇಕು. ಇಲ್ಲದಿದ್ದರೆ ಬೀದಿಗಿಳಿದು ಹೋರಾಟ ನಡೆಸಲಾಗುವುದು ಎಂದು ಗ್ರಾಮಸ್ಥರು ಎಚ್ಚರಿಕೆ ನೀಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

Shivamogga, April 29: The water shortage that has arisen in Basavanagangur village, which is adjacent to Shivamogga city, does not seem to be resolved at the moment. The villagers have alleged that the village has not been supplied with water since the newly drilled borewell has not been connected to electricity.
Thousands of people live in Basavanagangur village. But there is a shortage of water. Udaya Sakshi Digital News had done a detailed report on this. Following the report, the Abbalagere Gram Panchayat administration had drilled a new borewell.
About 3 inches of water had also fallen into the borewell. The Gram Panchayat administration had also installed a water supply pipeline system from the new borewell. But till now, MESCOM has not provided electricity connection to the said borewell. The villagers have alleged that this is the reason for the non-availability of water.
On the one hand, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has strictly instructed the officials not to delay the supply of water to the citizens during the summer season. However, on the other hand, the villagers are expressing their anger that the lack of electricity connection from MESCOM has become a hindrance to water supply in Basavanagangur village.
Warning of struggle: There is a serious water problem in Basavanagangur village. MESCOM should immediately provide electricity connection to the new borewell. Similarly, the electricity system that supplies the city should also be provided to the village. Otherwise, the locals have warned that a fierce struggle will be held in front of the Gram Panchayat and MESCOM offices.
Demand for Tunga River Water Supply
*** Basavanagangur village seems to be adjacent to Shivamogga city. The Bommanakatte settlement, which is adjacent to the village, receives drinking water from the Tunga River. The same water should be supplied to Basavanagangur village as well. The borewell water is unfit for drinking. Similarly, cooking is not good. This is affecting the health of the citizens. For this reason, the villagers have demanded that steps be taken to supply Tunga River water to the village.
Warning of street protests!
*** Basavanagangur is also one of the largest villages close to Shivamogga city. A permanent solution should be found to solve the water problem in the village. Electricity connection should be provided to the new borewell. The village should also be provided with electricity supply within the city limits. Otherwise, the villagers have warned that they will take to the streets and protest.
