ಶಿವಮೊಗ್ಗ (shivamogga), ಮೇ 05: ಹೆಲ್ಮೆಟ್ ಧರಿಸದೆ ಬೈಕ್ ಚಾಲನೆ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದುದನ್ನು ಪ್ರಶ್ನಿಸಿದ ಟ್ರಾಫಿಕ್ ಪೊಲೀಸರಿಗೆ ಬೆದರಿಕೆ ಹಾಕಿ ತೆರಳಿದ್ದ ಆರೋಪದ ಮೇರೆಗೆ, ಇಬ್ಬರು ಯುವಕರನ್ನು ಶಿವಮೊಗ್ಗ ಕೋಟೆ ಠಾಣೆ ಪೊಲೀಸರು ಬಂಧಿಸಿದ ಘಟನೆ ನಡೆದಿದೆ.
ಸಯ್ಯದ್ ಮಿಜಾಮಿಲ್ ಹಾಗೂ ಜಬೀವುಲ್ಲಾ ಬಂಧಿತ ಆರೋಪಿಗಳು ಎಂದು ಗುರುತಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಇವರ ವಿರುದ್ದ ಬಿಎನ್ಎಸ್ ಕಾಯ್ದೆ 121 (3), 132, 3 (5) ರ ಕಲಂಗಳಡಿ ಪೊಲೀಸರು ಪ್ರಕರಣ ದಾಖಲಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ನ್ಯಾಯಾಂಗ ವಶಕ್ಕೆ ಒಪ್ಪಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ಪ್ರಕರಣದ ಹಿನ್ನೆಲೆ : 4/5/2026 ರಂದು ಪೂರ್ವ ಟ್ರಾಫಿಕ್ ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ಠಾಣೆ ಎಎಸ್ಐ ಮಂಜುನಾಥ್ ಮತ್ತು ಸಿಪಿಸಿ ಸಂತೋಷ್ ಅವರು ಕರ್ತವ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ವೇಳೆ, ಗಾಂಧಿ ಬಜಾರ್ ರಸ್ತೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಆರೋಪಿ ಸಯ್ಯದ್ ಮಿಜಾಮಿಲ್ ಹೆಲ್ಮೆಟ್ ಧರಿಸದೆ ಹಾಗೂ ಸಂಚಾರಿ ನಿಯಮ ಪಾಲಿಸದೆ ಬೈಕ್ ನಲ್ಲಿ ಆಗಮಿಸಿದ್ದಾನೆ.
ಟ್ರಾಫಿಕ್ ಪೊಲೀಸರು ಆತನನ್ನು ನಿಲ್ಲಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಈ ವೇಳೆ ಆರೋಪಿಯು ಪೊಲೀಸರೊಂದಿಗೆ ವಾಗ್ವಾದಕ್ಕೆ ಇಳಿದಿದ್ದಾನೆ. ಇದೇ ವೇಳೆ ಸ್ಥಳಕ್ಕೆ ಆಗಮಿಸಿದ ಮತ್ತೋರ್ವ ಆರೋಪಿ ಜಬೀವುಲ್ಲಾ ಎಂಬಾತ, ‘ನಾವು ಹೆಲ್ಮೆಟ್ ಹಾಕುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ಏನು ಮಾಡುತ್ತೀಯಾ’ ಎಂದು ಗಲಾಟೆ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾನೆ.
ತದನಂತರ ಇಬ್ಬರು ಆರೋಪಿಗಳು ಪೊಲೀಸರನ್ನು ತಳ್ಳಿ, ಬೈಕ್ ನ ಕೀ ಕಿತ್ತುಕೊಂಡು ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ನೋಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತೆವೆ ಎಂದು ಬೆದರಿಕೆ ಹಾಕಿ ಸ್ಥಳದಿಂದ ಬೈಕ್ ನಲ್ಲಿ ತೆರಳಿದ್ದರು. ಈ ಸಂಬಂಧ ಟ್ರಾಫಿಕ್ ಪೊಲೀಸರು ಆರೋಪಿಗಳ ವಿರುದ್ದ ಕೋಟೆ ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ಠಾಣೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ದೂರು ದಾಖಲಿಸಿದ್ದರು ಎಂದು ಜಿಲ್ಲಾ ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ಇಲಾಖೆ ಮೇ 05 ರಂದು ಬಿಡುಗಡೆ ಮಾಡಿದ ಪ್ರಕಟಣೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮಾಹಿತಿ ನೀಡಿದೆ.
Two bikers arrested for threatening Shivamogga traffic police!
Shivamogga, May 05: Two youths were arrested by the Shivamogga Kote police station on charges of threatening a traffic policeman who questioned them about riding a bike without wearing a helmet.
Syed Mizamil and Zabiullah have been identified as the arrested accused. The police have registered a case against them under sections 121 (3), 132, 3 (5) of the BNS Act. They have been remanded in judicial custody.
Background of the case: On 4/5/2026, while ASI Manjunath and CPC Santosh of the East Traffic Police Station were on duty, accused Syed Mizamil arrived on a bike on Gandhi Bazaar Road without wearing a helmet and without following traffic rules.
The traffic police stopped him. During this, the accused got into an argument with the police. Meanwhile, another accused named Zabiullah, who arrived at the spot, shouted, ‘We don’t wear helmets. What are you doing?’
Then the two accused pushed the police, snatched the bike keys and threatened to take care of you and left the spot on the bike. In this regard, the traffic police had filed a complaint against the accused at the Kote police station, the district police department said in a statement released on May 05.
