ಶಿವಮೊಗ್ಗ (shivamogga), ಜೂನ್ 26: ಶಿವಮೊಗ್ಗ ನಗರದ ದೊಡ್ಡಪೇಟೆ ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ಠಾಣೆ ವ್ಯಾಪ್ತಿಯ ಪಲಕ್ ಶಾದಿ ಮಹಲ್ ಸಮೀಪದ ಸಾರ್ವಜನಿಕ ಸ್ಥಳದಲ್ಲಿ, ಗಾಂಜಾ ಮಾರಾಟ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಆರೋಪದ ಮೇರೆಗೆ ಓರ್ವನನ್ನು ಪೊಲೀಸರು ಬಂಧಿಸಿದ ಘಟನೆ ಜೂನ್ 24 ರಂದು ನಡೆದಿದೆ.
ಇಬ್ಬರು ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಗಳು ಗಾಂಜಾ ಮಾರಾಟ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿರುವ ಕುರಿತಂತೆ ಲಭ್ಯವಾದ ಖಚಿತ ವರ್ತಮಾನದ ಮೇರೆಗೆ, ಸಬ್ ಇನ್ಸ್’ಪೆಕ್ಟರ್ ನೇತೃತ್ವದ ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ತಂಡ ಕಾರ್ಯಾಚರಣೆ ನಡೆಸಿದೆ.
ಈ ವೇಳೆ ಅಕ್ಮಲ್ ಖಾನ್ (23) ಎಂಬಾತನನ್ನು ಪೊಲೀಸರು ಬಂಧಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಆರೋಪಿಯಿಂದ 65 ಸಾವಿರ ರೂ. ಮೌಲ್ಯದ 01 ಕೆಜಿ 261 ಗ್ರಾಂ ತೂಕದ ಗಾಂಜಾವನ್ನು ಪೊಲೀಸರು ವಶಕ್ಕೆ ಪಡೆದುಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ಈ ಸಂಬಂಧ ಆರೋಪಿ ವಿರುದ್ದ ದೊಡ್ಡಪೇಟೆ ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ಠಾಣೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಎನ್’ಡಿಪಿಎಸ್ ಕಾಯ್ದೆಯಡಿ ಪ್ರಕರಣ ದಾಖಲಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಜಿಲ್ಲಾ ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ಇಲಾಖೆಯು ಜೂನ್ 26 ರಂದು ಬಿಡುಗಡೆ ಮಾಡಿದ ಪ್ರಕಟಣೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮಾಹಿತಿ ನೀಡಿದೆ.
Police arrest man selling ganja near Palak Shadi Mahal in Shivamogga
Shivamogga, June 26: An incident took place on June 24 when the police arrested a man on charges of selling ganja in a public place near Palak Shadi Mahal under the jurisdiction of Doddapet police station in Shivamogga city.
Based on a specific tip-off about two people selling ganja, a police team led by a sub-inspector conducted an operation.
During this, the police arrested Akmal Khan (23). The police seized 01 kg 261 grams of ganja worth Rs 65,000 from the accused. In this regard, a case has been registered against the accused at Doddapet police station under the NDPS Act, the district police department informed in a release issued on June 26.
