ಶಿವಮೊಗ್ಗ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆ ಭದ್ರಾವತಿ ತಾಲೂಕಿನ ಹೊಳೆಹೊನ್ನೂರು ಸಮೀಪದ ಕೂಡ್ಲಿಯ ತುಂಗಭದ್ರಾ ನದಿ ಸಮೀಪ ಮಹಿಳೆಯನ್ನು ಪೊಲೀಸರು ರಕ್ಷಣೆ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಸಿಬ್ಬಂದಿಗಳ ಸಮಯ ಪ್ರಜ್ಞೆ ಹಾಗೂ ಕರ್ತವ್ಯ ನಿಷ್ಠೆಗೆ ಜಿಲ್ಲಾ ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ಇಲಾಖೆ ಅಭಿನಂದನೆ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಿದೆ.
ಏನೀದು ಪ್ರಕರಣ? : ತುಂಗಭದ್ರಾ ನದಿಗೆ ಹಾರಿ ಆತ್ಮಹತ್ಯೆ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತೆನೆ ಎಂದು ತನ್ನ ಪತ್ನಿ ತಿಳಿಸಿದ್ದಾಳೆ ಎಂದು ಚಿತ್ರದುರ್ಗದಿಂದ ಪತಿಯೋರ್ವ ಇಆರ್’ಎಸ್ಎಸ್ – 112 ಸಹಾಯವಾಣಿ ಸಂಖ್ಯೆಗೆ ಕರೆ ಮಾಡಿ ಮಾಹಿತಿ ನೀಡಿದ್ದರು.
ಸದರಿ ಮಾಹಿತಿ ತಿಳಿಯುತ್ತಿದ್ದಂತೆ, ಅಂದು 112 ವಾಹನದಲ್ಲಿ ಕರ್ತವ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ಹೊಳೆಹೊನ್ನೂರು ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ಠಾಣೆಯ ಸಿಪಿಸಿ ಅಶೋಕ್ ಕುಮಾರ್ ಚಾಲಕ ಅಮರೇಶ್ ನಾಯ್ಕ್ ಅವರು ಕೂಡಲೇ ಕೂಡ್ಲಿಯ ತುಂಗಭದ್ರಾ ನದಿ ಸಮೀಪ ಆಗಮಿಸಿದ್ದರು.
ನದಿ ಸಮೀಪ ಆತ್ಮಹತ್ಯೆಗೆ ಯತ್ನಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಮಹಿಳೆಯನ್ನು ಗುರುತಿಸಿ ರಕ್ಷಣೆ ಮಾಡಿ ಕರೆತರುವಲ್ಲಿ ಸಫಲರಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಎಂದು ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ಇಲಾಖೆಯು 15/08/2026 ರಂದು ಬಿಡುಗಡೆ ಮಾಡಿದ ಪ್ರಕಟಣೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮಾಹಿತಿ ನೀಡಿದೆ.
Wife about to jump into Tungabhadra river: Husband informed the police – what happened next? | Shivamogga, August 15: A married woman who was about to commit suicide by jumping into the Tungabhadra river was rescued by the emergency helpline ERS’SS – 112 personnel of the police department.
The police have rescued the woman near the Tungabhadra river in Kudli, near Holehonnur in Bhadravati taluk, Shivamogga district. The district police department has congratulated the personnel for their punctuality and dedication to duty.
What is the case? : A husband from Chitradurga had called the ERS’SS – 112 helpline number and informed that his wife had told him that she was going to commit suicide by jumping into the Tungabhadra river.
As soon as the information was received, CPC Ashok Kumar of Holehonnur Police Station, driver Amaresh Naik, who was on duty in the 112 vehicle, immediately arrived near the Tungabhadra river in Kudli.
The police department has informed in a press release issued on 15/08/2026 that they were successful in identifying and rescuing a woman who was attempting suicide near the river.
