ಶಿವಮೊಗ್ಗ (shivamogga), ಆಗಸ್ಟ್ 25: ತುಂಗಾ ನದಿಯಿಂದ ಕೆರೆಗಳಿಗೆ ನೀರು ಪೂರೈಕೆ ಮಾಡುವ ಪೈಪ್’ಲೈನ್ ಒಡೆದು ಭಾರೀ ಪ್ರಮಾಣದ ನೀರು ವ್ಯರ್ಥವಾಗಿ ಹರಿದು ಹೋದ ಘಟನೆ, ಶಿವಮೊಗ್ಗ ತಾಲೂಕಿನ ಹುಣಸೋಡು ಗ್ರಾಮದ ಸಮೀಪ ಆಗಸ್ಟ್ 27 ರಂದು ನಡೆದಿದೆ.
‘ವಿಷಯ ತಿಳಿಯುತ್ತಿದ್ದಂತೆ ಸದರಿ ಪೈಪ್’ಲೈನ್ ಗೆ ಹರಿಸಲಾಗುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ತುಂಗಾ ನದಿ ನೀರನ್ನು ಸ್ಥಗಿತಗೊಳಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ. ದುರಸ್ತಿ ಕಾರ್ಯ ನಡೆಸಲಾಗುತ್ತಿದೆ. ನಾಳೆಯಿಂದ ಎಂದಿನಂತೆ ಪೈಪ್’ಲೈನ್ ಮೂಲಕ ನೀರು ಪೂರೈಕೆಯಾಗಲಿದೆ’ ಎಂದು ಯೋಜನಾ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥಾಪಕರಾದ ಶಿವಶಂಕರಮೂರ್ತಿ ಅವರು ತಿಳಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ಏನಾಯ್ತು? : ಮೊದಲ ಹಂತದಲ್ಲಿ ತುಂಗಾ ನದಿಯಿಂದ ಅಬ್ಬಲಗೆರೆ ಕೆರೆಗೆ ಪೈಪ್’ಲೈನ್ ಮೂಲಕ ನೀರು ಹರಿಸಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. ನಂತರ ಸದರಿ ಕೆರೆಯಿಂದ ಪೈಪ್’ಲೈನ್ ಮೂಲಕ ಹುಣಸೋಡು, ಬಸವನಗಂಗೂರು, ತ್ಯಾಜವಳ್ಳಿ ಮೊದಲಾದ ಗ್ರಾಮಗಳ ಕೆರೆಗಳಿಗೆ ನೀರು ಹರಿಸಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ.
ಹುಣಸೋಡು ಗ್ರಾಮದ ಮೂಲಕ ಹಾದು ಹೋಗಿರುವ ಪೈಪ್’ಲೈನ್ ನ ಏರ್ ವಾಲ್ವ್ ಗೆ ಖಾಸಗಿ ಬಸ್ ವೊಂದು ಡಿಕ್ಕಿ ಹೊಡೆದಿದೆ. ಇದರಿಂದ ಪೈಪ್ ಮೂಲಕ ಮುಗಿಲೆತ್ತರಕ್ಕೆ ನೀರು ಚಿಮ್ಮಲಾರಂಭಿಸಿತ್ತು.
ವಿಷಯ ತಿಳಿಯುತ್ತಿದ್ದಂತೆ ಪೈಪ್’ಲೈನ್ ಗೆ ಪೂರೈಕೆಯಾಗುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ನೀರನ್ನು ಸ್ಥಗಿತಗೊಳಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಸದರಿ ಯೋಜನೆ ಅನುಷ್ಠಾನ – ಮೇಲುಸ್ತುವಾರಿ ಜವಾಬ್ದಾರಿ ನಿರ್ವಹಣೆ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿರುವ ಗುತ್ತಿಗೆದಾರರ ಕಡೆಯವರು ಸ್ಥಳಕ್ಕಾಗಮಿಸಿ ದುರಸ್ತಿ ಕಾರ್ಯ ನಡೆಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
Shivamogga: Pipeline bursts, Tunga River water gushes out! | Shivamogga, August 25: A pipeline supplying water to lakes from the Tunga River burst on August 27 near Hunasodu village in Shivamogga taluk, causing a huge amount of water to flow out in vain.
‘As soon as the matter was known, the Tunga River water being supplied to the pipeline has been stopped. Repair work is being carried out. Water will be supplied through the pipeline as usual from tomorrow,’ said Project Manager Shivashankaramurthy.
What happened? : Water is supplied to Abbalagere Lake from the Tunga River. From the said lake, water is supplied to lakes in villages like Hunasodu, Basavanagangur, Tyajavalli through the pipeline.
A private bus hit the air valve of the pipeline passing through Hunasodu village. As a result, water started gushing out through the pipe.
As soon as the matter was known, the water supply to the pipeline was stopped. The contractor, who is responsible for the implementation and supervision of the said project, has reached the spot and is carrying out the repair work.
