ಶಿವಮೊಗ್ಗ (shivamogga), ಆಗಸ್ಟ್ 05: ಶಿವಮೊಗ್ಗ ಮಹಾನಗರ ಪಾಲಿಕೆ 1 ನೇ ವಾರ್ಡ್ ಸೋಮಿನಕೊಪ್ಪ ಕೆರೆ ಕಾಲುವೆಗೆ ತಡೆಗೋಡೆ ನಿರ್ಮಾಣಕ್ಕೆ ರಾಜ್ಯ ಸರ್ಕಾರದಿಂದ ಅನುದಾನ ಮಂಜೂರು ಮಾಡಿಸಿ, ವಿವಿಧ ಬಡಾವಣೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಎದುರಾಗುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಜಲಾವೃತ ಸಮಸ್ಯೆಗೆ ಶಾಶ್ವತ ಪರಿಹಾರ ಕಲ್ಪಿಸಲು ಮುಂದಾದ, ವಿಧಾನ ಪರಿಷತ್ ಶಾಸಕ ಡಿ ಎಸ್ ಅರುಣ್ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಸ್ಥಳೀಯ ನಿವಾಸಿಗಳು ಅಭಿನಂದನೆ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ಟೀಚರ್ಸ್ ಲೇಔಟ್, ಎಂಎಸ್’ಕೆ ಸಿಟಿ ಲೇಔಟ್, ಕೆಹೆಚ್’ಬಿ ಪ್ರೆಸ್ ಕಾಲೋನಿ ಸಮೀಪದಿಂದ ಸೋಮಿನಕೊಪ್ಪ ಕೆರೆ ಕಾಲುವೆ ಹಾದು ಹೋಗಿದೆ. ಕೆರೆ ಕೋಡಿ ಬಿದ್ದ ವೇಳೆ ಕಾಲುವೆ ಅವ್ಯವಸ್ಥೆಯಿಂದ ತಗ್ಗು ಪ್ರದೇಶಗಳು ಜಲಾವೃತವಾಗುತ್ತಿದ್ದವು. ಈ ಕಾರಣದಿಂದ ಜನವಸತಿ ಪ್ರದೇಶಗಳ ಬಳಿಯ ಕಾಲುವೆಗೆ ತಡೆಗೋಡೆ ನಿರ್ಮಾಣ ಮಾಡಬೇಕೆಂಬ ಬೇಡಿಕೆ ನಾಗರಿಕರದ್ದಾಗಿತ್ತು.
ಈ ಸಂಬಂಧ ವಿಧಾನ ಪರಿಷತ್ ಶಾಸಕ ಡಿ ಎಸ್ ಅರುಣ್ ಅವರಿಗೆ ನಿವಾಸಿಗಳ ಸಂಘದಿಂದ ಮನವಿ ಪತ್ರ ಅರ್ಪಿಸಲಾಗಿತ್ತು. ರಾಜ್ಯ ಸರ್ಕಾರದಿಂದ ತಡೆಗೋಡೆ ನಿರ್ಮಾಣಕ್ಕೆ ಕ್ರಮಕೈಗೊಳ್ಳುವಂತೆ ಮನವಿ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದರು. ನಾಗರಿಕರ ಕೋರಿಕೆಗೆ ಸ್ಪಂದಿಸಿದ್ದ ಶಾಸಕರು ಸಣ್ಣ ನೀರಾವರಿ ಇಲಾಖೆ ಸಚಿವರು ಹಾಗೂ ಹಿರಿಯ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳೊಂದಿಗೆ ಸಮಾಲೋಚನೆ ನಡೆಸಿದ್ದರು.
ಇದೆಲ್ಲದರ ಫಲವಾಗಿ ಜನವಸತಿ ಬಡಾವಣೆಗಳ ಬಳಿ ಹಾದು ಹೋಗಿರುವ ಕೆರೆ ಕಾಲುವೆ ಬಳಿ, ತಡೆಗೋಡೆ ನಿರ್ಮಾಣಕ್ಕೆ ರಾಜ್ಯ ಸರ್ಕಾರ ಅನುಮತಿ ನೀಡಿ, ಅನುದಾನ ಬಿಡುಗಡೆ ಮಾಡಿದೆ. ಶೀಘ್ರದಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ಕಾಮಗಾರಿ ಕೂಡ ಆರಂಭವಾಗಲಿದೆ ಎಂಬ ಮಾಹಿತಿ ಲಭ್ಯವಾಗಿದೆ.
ಅಭಿನಂದನೆ : ತಡೆಗೋಡೆ ನಿರ್ಮಾಣಕ್ಕೆ ಕ್ರಮಕೈಗೊಂಡು ನಾಗರಿಕರಿಗೆ ಅನುಕೂಲ ಕಲ್ಪಿಸಿದ ವಿಧಾನ ಪರಿಷತ್ ಶಾಸಕ ಡಿ ಎಸ್ ಅರುಣ್ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಪ್ರೆಸ್ ಕಾಲೋನಿ ನಿವಾಸಿಗಳ ಕ್ಷೇಮಾಭಿವೃದ್ದಿ ಸಂಘದ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರಾದ ಪತ್ರಕರ್ತ ಬಿ ರೇಣುಕೇಶ್, ಪ್ರಮುಖರಾದ ಷಡಾಕ್ಷರಿ, ಕುಮಾರ್ ಅವರು ಅಭಿನಂದನೆ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
Shivamogga – Permission for Lake Canal Retaining Wall Construction: Residents Congratulate MLA D. S. Arun
Shivamogga, August 05: The state government has sanctioned funds for the construction of a retaining wall along the Sominakoppa lake canal in Ward No. 1 of Shivamogga City Corporation. This initiative aims to provide a permanent solution to the flooding issues faced in several localities. Local residents have expressed their gratitude to Legislative Council member D. S. Arun for his efforts.
The canal from Sominakoppa lake passes through Teachers’ Layout, MSK City Layout, and KHB Press Colony. During heavy rains, the canal’s poor condition often led to flooding in low-lying residential areas. Citizens had long demanded the construction of a retaining wall near these populated areas.
In response to a petition submitted by residents’ associations, MLA D. S. Arun held discussions with the Minister for Minor Irrigation and senior officials. As a result, the state government granted approval and released funds for the retaining wall project. Work is expected to commence soon.
