ಶಿವಮೊಗ್ಗ (shivamogga), ಮಾರ್ಚ್ 29: ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಹನ ಸಂಚಾರದ ಸುರಕ್ಷತೆ ಹಾಗೂ ರಸ್ತೆ ಅಪಘಾತಗಳನ್ನು ಕಡಿಮೆ ಮಾಡುವ ಉದ್ದೇಶದಿಂದ Intelligent Traffic Management System (ITMS) ಮೂಲಕ ಟ್ರಾಫಿಕ್ ನಿಯಮ ಉಲ್ಲಂಘನೆಗಳ ವಿರುದ್ಧ ಇ-ಚಲನ್ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥೆಯನ್ನು ಪರಿಣಾಮಕಾರಿಯಾಗಿ ಜಾರಿಗೊಳಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಶಿವಮೊಗ್ಗ ಜಿಲ್ಲಾ ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ಇಲಾಖೆ ತಿಳಿಸಿದೆ.
ಈ ಕುರಿತಂತೆ ಮಾರ್ಚ್ 29 ರಂದು ಬಿಡುಗಡೆ ಮಾಡಿದ ಪ್ರಕಟಣೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮಾಹಿತಿ ನೀಡಿದೆ. 2026 ನೇ ಸಾಲಿನ ಏಪ್ರಿಲ್ ತಿಂಗಳಿನಿಂದ ಶಿವಮೊಗ್ಗ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ಠಾಣೆಗಳ ವ್ಯಾಪ್ತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ, ಕಣ್ಣಿಗೆ ಕಾಣುವ ಸಂಚಾರ ನಿಯಮ ಉಲ್ಲಂಘನೆ ಮಾಡುವ ವಾಹನ ಸವಾರರನ್ನು ಸ್ಥಳದಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ತಡೆದು ದಂಡ ವಿಧಿಸಲಾಗುತ್ತಿದೆ.
ಇದರ ಜೊತೆಗೆ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಸಿಬ್ಬಂದಿಗಳು ಸಂಚಾರ ನಿಯಮಗಳನ್ನು ಉಲ್ಲಂಘಿಸುವ ವಾಹನ ಸವಾರರ ಪೋಟೊಗಳನ್ನು ಜಿಪಿಎಸ್ ಆಧಾರಿತ ಕ್ಯಾಮೆರಾ ಮೂಲಕ ಸೆರೆಹಿಡಿದು, ಐಟಿಎಂಎಸ್ (ITMS) ತಂತ್ರಾಂಶದ ಮೂಲಕ ಇನ್ನಷ್ಟು ಕಟ್ಟುನಿಟ್ಟಾಗಿ ಸಂಚಾರ ನಿಯಮ ಉಲ್ಲಂಘನೆಗೆ ಸಂಬಂಧಿಸಿದ ಇ-ಚಲನ್ ಪ್ರಕರಣಗಳನ್ನು ದಾಖಲಿಸಲಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಎಂದು ಮಾಹಿತಿ ನೀಡಿದೆ.
ಈ ಹಿನ್ನೆಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸಾರ್ವಜನಿಕರು ಸಂಚಾರ ನಿಯಮಗಳನ್ನು ಕಡ್ಡಾಯವಾಗಿ ಪಾಲಿಸಿ ತಮ್ಮ ಹಾಗೂ ಇತರರ ಸುರಕ್ಷತೆಯನ್ನು ಕಾಪಾಡುವಂತೆ ಸೂಚಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಜೊತೆಗೆ ತಮ್ಮ ವಾಹನಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ಬಾಕಿ ಇರುವ ಇ-ಚಲನ್ ದಂಡಗಳನ್ನು ಈ ಕೆಳಗಿನ ವಿಧಾನಗಳ ಮೂಲಕ ಪಾವತಿಸಬಹುದಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ಇಲಾಖೆ ತಿಳಿಸಿದೆ.

🚔 Traffic Violations Detected via GPS Cameras: Shivamogga Police Department Announcement
Shivamogga, March 29: To improve road safety and reduce accidents, the Shivamogga District Police Department has announced that the Intelligent Traffic Management System (ITMS) is being effectively implemented to issue e-challans against traffic rule violations.
In a press release issued on March 29, the department stated that starting from April 2026, traffic violators spotted within the jurisdiction of all police stations in Shivamogga district will be stopped on the spot and fined.
Additionally, police officers and staff across the district will capture photos of traffic violations using GPS-enabled cameras. These images will be processed through the ITMS software to strictly register e-challan cases against offenders.
The department has urged the public to strictly follow traffic rules to ensure their own safety and that of others. It also clarified the methods available for paying pending e-challan fines:

- At all police stations in Shivamogga district.
- To ASIs and senior police officers on duty at Shivamogga and Bhadravati traffic stations, who carry e-challan PDA machines.
