ಭದ್ರಾವತಿ (bhadravathi), ಮಾರ್ಚ್ 30: ಬೈಕ್ ನಲ್ಲಿ ತೆರಳುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ದಂಪತಿ ಲಾರಿಯ ಹಿಂಬದಿ ಚಕ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ಸಿಲುಕಿ ಮೃತಪಟ್ಟ ಹೃದಯವಿದ್ರಾವಕ ಘಟನೆ ಭದ್ರಾವತಿ ತಾಲೂಕಿನ ಹೆಚ್ ಕೆ ಜಂಕ್ಷನ್ ಬಳಿ ಮಾರ್ಚ್ 29 ರ ರಾತ್ರಿ ನಡೆದಿದೆ.
ಮೃತರನ್ನು ತರೀಕೆರೆ ತಾಲೂಕಿನ ಬರಗೇನಹಳ್ಳಿ ಗೌಳಿ ಕ್ಯಾಂಪ್ ನಿವಾಸಿಯಾದ ಬಾಬು (30) ಹಾಗೂ ಅವರ ಪತ್ನಿ ಸಾವಿತ್ರಿ (27) ಎಂದು ಗುರುತಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ.
ಜೋಳ ತುಂಬಿದ್ದ ಲಾರಿಯು ಶಿವಮೊಗ್ಗದಿಂದ ತರೀಕೆರೆ ಮಾರ್ಗವಾಗಿ ತೆರಳುತ್ತಿತ್ತು. ದಂಪತಿಯು ಹೋಟೆಲ್ ಕೆಲಸ ಮುಗಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ತರೀಕೆರೆ ಮಾರ್ಗವಾಗಿ ಬೈಕ್ ನಲ್ಲಿ ಮನೆಗೆ ಹೊರಟಿದ್ದರು.
ಈ ವೇಳೆ ಲಾರಿಯ ಹಿಂಬದಿ ಚಕ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ಬೈಕ್ ಸಿಲುಕಿ ಬಿದ್ದಿದ್ದು, ಪತಿಯು ಸ್ಥಳದಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ಮೃತಪಟ್ಟಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಪತ್ನಿಯು ಆಸ್ಪತ್ರೆಗೆ ಸಾಗಿಸುವ ಮಾರ್ಗ ಮಧ್ಯೆ ಅಸುನೀಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ಅಪಘಾತಕ್ಕೆ ಕಾರಣವೇನು? ಎಂಬಿತ್ಯಾದಿ ವಿವರಗಳ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನ ಮಾಹಿತಿ ಇನ್ನಷ್ಟೆ ತಿಳಿದುಬರಬೇಕಾಗಿದೆ. ಘಟನಾ ಸ್ಥಳಕ್ಕೆ ಭದ್ರಾವತಿ ಗ್ರಾಮಾಂತರ ಠಾಣೆ ಪೊಲೀಸರು ಭೇಟಿಯಿತ್ತು ಪರಿಶೀಲನೆ ನಡೆಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
Bhadravati: Couple dies after bike gets caught under lorry wheel!
Bhadravati, March 30: A heart-wrenching accident occurred near HK Junction in Bhadravati taluk on the night of March 29, when a couple traveling on a bike got caught under the rear wheel of a lorry and lost their lives.
The deceased have been identified as Babu (30) and his wife Savitri (27), residents of Baragenahalli Gooli Camp in Tarikere taluk.
The lorry, loaded with maize, was traveling from Shivamogga towards Tarikere. The couple, who had finished their work at a hotel, were heading home on their bike along the same route.
At that time, the bike got caught under the rear wheel of the lorry, causing them to fall. The husband died on the spot, while the wife succumbed to injuries on the way to the hospital.
The exact cause of the accident is yet to be determined. Bhadravati rural police visited the scene and conducted an investigation.
