ಶಿವಮೊಗ್ಗ (shivamogga), ಏಪ್ರಿಲ್ 06: ದೇಶ – ರಾಜ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ವೇಗವಾಗಿ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ದಿ ಹೊಂದುತ್ತಿರುವ 2 ನೇ ಹಂತದ ನಗರಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಶಿವಮೊಗ್ಗವೂ ಒಂದಾಗಿದೆ. ವರ್ಷದಿಂದ ವರ್ಷಕ್ಕೆ ನಗರದ ಜನಸಂಖ್ಯೆ, ವ್ಯಾಪ್ತಿ – ವಿಸ್ತೀರ್ಣ ಹೆಚ್ಚಾಗುತ್ತಿದೆ. ಇದರ ಜೊತೆಜೊತೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮೂಲಸೌಕರ್ಯಗಳ ಬೇಡಿಕೆಗಳ ಪಟ್ಟಿ ಕೂಡ ದೊಡ್ಡದಾಗುತ್ತಿದೆ.
ರೈಲ್ವೆಗೆ ಸಂಬಂಧಿಸಿದಂತೆ ನಗರ ವ್ಯಾಪ್ತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಇನ್ನಷ್ಟು ಅಂಡರ್’ಪಾಸ್ – ಫ್ಲೈ ಓವರ್ ಗಳ ನಿರ್ಮಾಣದ ಬೇಡಿಕೆಯಿದೆ. ಅದರಂತೆ ಪಾಲಿಕೆ ವ್ಯಾಪ್ತಿಯ ಕಾಶೀಪುರ ಪಶು ವೈದ್ಯಕೀಯ ಕಾಲೇಜ್ ರಸ್ತೆ ಹಾಗೂ ಜೆ ಹೆಚ್ ಪಟೇಲ್ ಬಡಾವಣೆಯ ರವಿ ಶಂಕರ್ ವಿದ್ಯಾಲಯ ಸಮೀಪದ ರಸ್ತೆ ನಡುವೆ ಹಾದು ಹೋಗಿರುವ ರೈಲ್ವೆ ಹಳಿಗೆ, ಅಂಡರ್ ಪಾಸ್ ನಿರ್ಮಾಣ ಮಾಡಬೇಕೆಂಬ ಆಗ್ರಹ ಹಲವು ವರ್ಷಗಳದ್ದಾಗಿದೆ.
ಸಂಪರ್ಕ ಸುಲಭ : ಸದರಿ ಸ್ಥಳದಲ್ಲಿ ಅಂಡರ್ ಪಾಸ್ ನಿರ್ಮಾಣ ಮಾಡಿದರೆ, ಕೇವಲ 100 ಅಡಿಗಳ ಅಂತರದಲ್ಲಿ ಸುತ್ತಮುತ್ತಲಿನ ಬಡಾವಣೆಗಳ ನಡುವೆ ವಾಹನಗಳ ಸಂಚಾರ ಸಾಧ್ಯವಾಗಲಿದೆ. ಇದರಿಂದ ಸಾವಿರಾರು ನಾಗರೀಕರಿಗೆ ಸಹಕಾರಿಯಾಗಲಿದೆ. ಬಡಾವಣೆಗಳ ನಡುವಿನ ಸಂಪರ್ಕ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮಹತ್ವದ ಬದಲಾವಣೆಯಾಗಲಿದೆ ಎಂಬುವುದು ನಾಗರೀಕರ ಅಭಿಪ್ರಾಯವಾಗಿದೆ.
ಸದ್ಯ ಜೆ ಹೆಚ್ ಪಟೇಲ್ ಬಡಾವಣೆ, ಸಹ್ಯಾದ್ರಿ ನಗರ ಸುತ್ತಮುತ್ತಲಿನ ಭಾಗದ ನಾಗರೀಕರು ಕಾಶೀಪುರ, ಪಶುವೈದ್ಯಕೀಯ ಕಾಲೇಜ್ ಭಾಗದ ಬಡಾವಣೆಗಳಿಗೆ ವಾಹನಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ತೆರಳಬೇಕಾದರೆ ಸುಮಾರು ನಾಲ್ಕೈದು ಕಿಲೋ ಮೀಟರ್ ದೂರ ಕ್ರಮಿಸಬೇಕಾಗಿದೆ.
ಆದರೆ ಅಂಡರ್ ಪಾಸ್ ನಿರ್ಮಾಣದಿಂದ ಸುಮಾರು 100 ಅಡಿ ಅಂತರದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಂಪರ್ಕ ಸಾಧ್ಯವಾಗಲಿದೆ. ಜೊತೆಗೆ ಕಾಶೀಪುರ ಭಾಗದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಪಶುವೈದ್ಯಕೀಯ ಆಸ್ಪತ್ರೆ, ಸಿದ್ದಗಂಗಾ ಬಡಾವಣೆ, ಮುನಿಯಪ್ಪ ಲೇಔಟ್, ಲಕ್ಕಪ್ಪ ಲೇಔಟ್, ಜೆ ಹೆಚ್ ಪಟೇಲ್ ಬಡಾವಣೆ ಸಿ ಬ್ಲಾಕ್ ಸೇರಿದಂತೆ
ಆಲ್ಕೋಳ, ಇಂದಿರಾಗಾಂಧಿ ಬಡಾವಣೆ, ಗಾಡಿಕೊಪ್ಪ, ಎಪಿಎಂಸಿ ತರಕಾಗಿ ಮಾರುಕಟ್ಟೆ, ಕಲ್ಲಳ್ಳಿ, ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಹೆದ್ಧಾರಿ, ಗೋಪಾಳಗೌಡ ಬಡಾವಣೆ ಮತ್ತೀತರ ಪ್ರದೇಶಗಳ ಸಂಪರ್ಕಕ್ಕೆ ಅನುಕೂಲವಾಗಲಿದೆ ಎಂಬುವುದು ನಾಗರೀಕರ ಅಭಿಮತವಾಗಿದೆ.
ಕೋಟೆಗಂಗೂರು ಸಂಪರ್ಕ : ಸದ್ಯ ಕೋಟೆಗಂಗೂರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ರೈಲ್ವೆ ಕೋಚಿಂಗ್ ಡಿಪೋ ನಿರ್ಮಾಣ ಹಾಗೂ ನಿಲ್ದಾಣ ಮೇಲ್ದರ್ಜೆಗೇರಿಸುವ ಕಾಮಗಾರಿ ನಡೆಯುತ್ತಿದೆ. ಇದು ಪೂರ್ಣಗೊಂಡರೆ, ಸದರಿ ರೈಲ್ವೆ ನಿಲ್ದಾಣದಿಂದ ವಂದೇ ಭಾರತ್ ಸೇರಿದಂತೆ ವಿವಿಧ ರೈಲುಗಳ ಸಂಚಾರ ಆರಂಭವಾಗಲಿದೆ. ಜೆ ಹೆಚ್ ಪಟೇಲ್ ಬಡಾವಣೆ – ಕಾಶೀಪುರ ನಡುವೆ ಅಂಡರ್ ಪಾಸ್ ನಿರ್ಮಾಣವಾದರೆ, ಸದರಿ ರೈಲ್ವೆ ನಿಲ್ದಾಣಕ್ಕೆ ಮೇಲ್ಕಂಡ ಬಡಾವಣೆಗಳ ನಾಗರಿಕರ ಸಂಚಾರಕ್ಕೆ ಅನುಕೂಲವಾಗಲಿದೆ.
ಭೂ ಸ್ವಾದೀನದ ಅಗತ್ಯವಿಲ್ಲ : ಸದರಿ ಸ್ಥಳದಲ್ಲಿ ಅಂಡರ್ ಪಾಸ್ ನಿರ್ಮಾಣಕ್ಕೆ ಖಾಸಗಿ ಜಾಗ ಸ್ವಾದೀನ ಪಡಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವ ಅಗತ್ಯವಿಲ್ಲವಾಗಿದೆ. ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಎರಡೂ ಕಡೆ ಸಂಪರ್ಕ ರಸ್ತೆಗಳಿವೆ. ಎಲ್ಲದಕ್ಕಿಂತ ಮುಖ್ಯವಾಗಿ ಎತ್ತರದ ಪ್ರದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ರೈಲ್ವೆ ಟ್ರ್ಯಾಕ್ ಇದೆ. ಅಂಡರ್ ಪಾಸ್ ನಿರ್ಮಣಕ್ಕೆ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ವೆಚ್ಚ ತಗುಲುವುದಿಲ್ಲ ಎಂದು ನಾಗರೀಕರು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾರೆ.
ಸಂಸದರು ಗಮನಿಸಲಿ : ಲೋಕಸಭಾ ಸದಸ್ಯ ಬಿ ವೈ ರಾಘವೇಂದ್ರ ಅವರು ಈಗಾಗಲೇ ರೈಲ್ವೆ ಇಲಾಖೆ ಮೂಲಕ, ಹುಚ್ಚುರಾಯ ಕಾಲೋನಿ ಸಮೀಪದ ರೈಲ್ವೆ ಹಳಿಗೆ ಫ್ಲೈ ಓವರ್ ಹಾಗೂ ಪಿ ಅಂಡ್ ಟಿ ಕಾಲೋನಿ ಬಳಿ ಅಂಡರ್ ಪಾಸ್ ನಿರ್ಮಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಸದರಿ ಸ್ಥಳದಿಂದ ಕೆಲ ಕಿಲೋ ಮೀಟರ್ ದೂರದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಪಶು ವೈದ್ಯಕೀಯ ಕಾಲೇಜ್ ಬಳಿಯೂ ಅಂಡರ್ ಪಾಸ್ ನಿರ್ಮಿಸಿದರೆ ಜನ – ವಾಹನಗಳ ಸಂಚಾರಕ್ಕೆ ಸಾಕಷ್ಟು ಅನುಕೂಲವಾಗಲಿದೆ.
ಈ ನಿಟ್ಟಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಸಂಸದರು ಆದ್ಯ ಗಮನಹರಿಸಬೇಕಾಗಿದೆ. ಕಾಲಮಿತಿಯೊಳಗೆ ಸದರಿ ಸ್ಥಳದಲ್ಲಿ ಅಂಡರ್ ಪಾಸ್ ನಿರ್ಮಿಸಿ ಜನ – ವಾಹನ ಸಂಚಾರಕ್ಕೆ ಅನುಕೂಲ ಕಲ್ಪಿಸಿಕೊಡಲು ಕ್ರಮಕೈಗೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕು ಎಂದು ಸ್ಥಳೀಯ ಬಡಾವಣೆಗಳ ನಿವಾಸಿಗಳು ಮನವಿ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಾರೆ.
Will MP B.Y. Raghavendra pay attention to the construction of a railway underpass between J.H. Patel Layout and Kashipura?
Report: B. Renukesh | Shivamogga, april 06 : Shivamogga is one of the tier‑2 cities in the country and state that is rapidly developing. Year after year, the city’s population, area, and extent are increasing. Along with this, the list of demands for infrastructure is also growing.
Regarding railways, there is a demand for more underpasses and flyovers within the city limits. One such long‑standing demand is for an underpass at the railway track that runs between Kashipura Veterinary College Road and the road near Ravi Shankar Vidyalaya in J.H. Patel Layout.
Ease of connectivity: If an underpass is built at this location, vehicles can move between surrounding layouts within just 100 feet. This would benefit thousands of residents and bring a major change in connectivity between neighborhoods. Currently, residents of J.H. Patel Layout and Sahyadri Nagar must travel 4–5 kilometers to reach Kashipura and the Veterinary College area. With the underpass, they could connect within 100 feet. It would also improve access to the Veterinary Hospital, Siddaganga Layout, Muniappa Layout, Lakkappa Layout, J.H. Patel Layout C Block, Alkol, Indira Gandhi Layout, Gadikoppa, APMC market, Kallalli, National Highway, Gopalagowda Layout, and other areas.
Kotegangur connection: At Kotegangur, construction of a railway coaching depot and station upgradation is underway. Once completed, trains including Vande Bharat will operate from this station. If the underpass between J.H. Patel Layout and Kashipura is built, residents of the above‑mentioned areas will have easier access to the station.
No land acquisition needed: At this location, there is no need to acquire private land for the underpass. Roads already exist on both sides, and the railway track is at a higher elevation. Citizens believe the cost of construction would not be high.
Appeal to the MP: Lok Sabha member B.Y. Raghavendra has already facilitated the construction of a flyover near Huchuraya Colony and an underpass near P&T Colony through the railway department. If another underpass is built near the Veterinary College, just a few kilometers away, it would greatly ease traffic and public movement. Residents of local layouts urge the MP to give priority to this demand and ensure timely construction of the underpass to benefit both people and vehicles.
