ಭದ್ರಾವತಿ (bhadravathi), ಏಪ್ರಿಲ್ 23: ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಯೋರ್ವರ ಆತ್ಮಹತ್ಯೆಗೆ ಕಾರಣಕರ್ತರಾದ ಆರೋಪದ ಮೇರೆಗೆ ನಾಲ್ವರಿಗೆ 3 ವರ್ಷ ಕಠಿಣ ಜೈಲು ಶಿಕ್ಷೆ ಹಾಗೂ 2 ಲಕ್ಷ ರೂ. ದಂಡ ವಿಧಿಸಿ, ಭದ್ರಾವತಿಯ 4 ನೇ ಹೆಚ್ಚುವರಿ ಜಿಲ್ಲಾ ಮತ್ತು ಸತ್ರ ನ್ಯಾಯಾಲಯ ತೀರ್ಪು ನೀಡಿದೆ.
ಭದ್ರಾವತಿ ತಾಲೂಕು ಇಟ್ಟಿಗೆಹಳ್ಳಿ ಗ್ರಾಮದ ನಿವಾಸಿಗಳಾದ ಬಸವರಾಜ್ (47), ಶೃತಿ (29), ಮಂಜಪ್ಪ (56) ಹಾಗೂ ಮಧು (32) ಜೈಲು ಶಿಕ್ಷೆಗೆ ಗುರಿಯಾದವರೆಂದು ಗುರುತಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ.
ನ್ಯಾಯಾಧೀಶರಾದ ಇಂದಿರಾ ಮೈಲಸ್ವಾಮಿ ಚೆಟ್ಟಿಯಾರ್ ಅವರು ಈ ತೀರ್ಪು ನೀಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಸರ್ಕಾರದ ಪರವಾಗಿ ಸರ್ಕಾರಿ ಅಭಿಯೋಜಕರಾದ ರತ್ನಮ್ಮ ಪಿ ಅವರು ವಾದ ಮಂಡಿಸಿದ್ದರು.
ಪ್ರಕರಣದ ಹಿನ್ನಲೆ : ತೋಟಕ್ಕೆ ಓಡಾಡುವ ವಿಚಾರದಲ್ಲಿ ಚಂದ್ರಪ್ಪ ಎಂಬುವರೊಂದಿಗೆ ಅಪರಾಧಿ ಬಸವರಾಜ್ ಗೆ ವೈಮನಸ್ಸಿತ್ತು. ಇದೇ ವಿಚಾರಕ್ಕೆ ಸಂಬಂಧಿಸಿದಂತೆ 12/2/2021 ರಂದು ಚಂದ್ರಪ್ಪರವರ ಮನೆಯ ಬಳಿ, ನಾಲ್ವರು ಅಪರಾಧಿಗಳು ಆಗಮಿಸಿ ಗಲಾಟೆ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದರು.
ಚಂದ್ರಪ್ಪರ ಮೇಲೆ ಹಲ್ಲೆ ನಡೆಸಿ, ಅವ್ಯಾಚ್ಯ ಶಬ್ದಗಳಿಂದ ನಿಂದಿಸಿದ್ದರು. ಇದರಿಂದ ಮನನೊಂದ ಚಂದ್ರಪ್ಪರವರು ನೇಣು ಬಿಗಿದುಕೊಂಡು ಆತ್ಮಹತ್ಯೆಗೆ ಶರಣಾಗಿದ್ದರು. ಈ ಸಂಬಂಧ ಹೊಳೆಹೊನ್ನೂರು ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ಠಾಣೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಕರಣ ದಾಖಲಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಸಬ್ ಇನ್ಸ್’ಪೆಕ್ಟರ್ ಮೋಹನ್ ರವರು ಪ್ರಕರಣದ ತನಿಖೆ ನಡೆಸಿ ನ್ಯಾಯಾಲಯಕ್ಕೆ ಆರೋಪಪಟ್ಟಿ ದಾಖಲಿಸಿದ್ದರು.
Bhadravati – Four sentenced to 3 years rigorous imprisonment: Rs. 2 lakh fine!
Bhadravati, April 23: The 4th Additional District and Sessions Court of Bhadravati has sentenced four to 3 years rigorous imprisonment and a fine of Rs. 2 lakh on charges of being responsible for the suicide of a person.
Basavaraj (47), Shruti (29), Manjappa (56) and Madhu (32), residents of Utthigahalli village in Bhadravati taluk, have been identified as the ones sentenced to imprisonment.
Judge Indira Mailaswamy Chettiar gave this verdict. Government prosecutor Ratnamma P argued on behalf of the government.
Background of the case: The convict Basavaraj had a feud with Chandrappa over the issue of going to the garden. In connection with the same issue, on 12/2/2021, four convicts had come near Chandrappa’s house and created a ruckus.
Chandrappa was attacked and abused with abusive words. Upset by this, Chandrappa committed suicide by hanging himself. A case was registered in this regard at the Holehonnur police station. Sub-Inspector Mohan investigated the case and filed a chargesheet in the court.
