ಶಿವಮೊಗ್ಗ (shivamogga), ಮೇ 31: ಶಿವಮೊಗ್ಗ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ರಾಜಾರೋಷವಾಗಿ ನಡೆಯುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಅಕ್ರಮ ಮರಳು ಗಣಿಗಾರಿಕೆ, ದಾಸ್ತಾನು, ಸಾಗಾಣೆಗೆ ಸಂಬಂಧಿಸಿದಂತೆ ಲೋಕಾಯುಕ್ತ ತಂಡಗಳು ಮೇ 30 ರಂದು ನಡೆಸಿದ ದಿಡೀರ್ ಕಾರ್ಯಾಚರಣೆಯೂ ಆಡಳಿತ ವಲಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಭಾರೀ ಸಂಚಲನ ಮೂಡಿಸಿದೆ!
ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯ ಇತಿಹಾಸದಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ಇದೇ ಮೊಟ್ಟ ಮೊದಲ ಬಾರಿಗೆ ಮರಳು ಮಾಫಿಯಾ ವಿರುದ್ದ, ದೊಡ್ಡ ಮಟ್ಟದ ಕಾರ್ಯಾಚರಣೆಯನ್ನು ಲೋಕಾಯುಕ್ತ ತಂಡ ನಡೆಸಿರುವುದು ಸಾರ್ವಜನಿಕ ವಲಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಬಿಸಿ ಬಿಸಿ ಚರ್ಚೆಗೆಡೆ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಟ್ಟಿದೆ. ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ದಂಧೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಶಾಮೀಲಾದವರ ನಿದ್ದೆಗೆಡುವಂತೆ ಮಾಡಿದೆ!
ಕಾರ್ಯಾಚರಣೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ದಾವಣಗೆರೆ, ಹಾವೇರಿ, ಚಿಕ್ಕಮಗಳೂರು, ಚಿತ್ರದುರ್ಗ, ಬೆಳಗಾವಿ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಗಳ ಲೋಕಾಯುಕ್ತ ಘಟಕಗಳ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿ, ಸಿಬ್ಬಂದಿಗಳು ಭಾಗಿಯಾಗಿದ್ದರು. ಅತ್ಯಂತ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥಿತವಾಗಿ ಏಕಕಾಲಕ್ಕೆ ಲೋಕಾಯುಕ್ತ ತಂಡಗಳು ಕಾರ್ಯಾಚರಣೆ ನಡೆಸಿರುವುದರಿಂದ, ಭಾರೀ ದೊಡ್ಡ ಪ್ರಮಾಣದ ಮರಳು ಅಕ್ರಮ ಬೆಳಕಿಗೆ ಬರುವಂತಾಗಿದೆ.
ದಾಳಿಯ ವೇಳೆ ಕೆಲ ಮರಳು ಅಡ್ಡೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಮಹತ್ವದ ದಾಖಲೆಗಳು ಹಾಗೂ ಮಾಹಿತಿಗಳು ಲೋಕಾಯುಕ್ತ ತಂಡಗಳ ಕೈ ಸೇರಿವೆ. ಇದರಲ್ಲಿ ಮರಳು ದಂಧೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಶಾಮೀಲಾಗಿ ದಂಧೆಕೋರರಿಂದ ‘ಹಫ್ತಾ’ ವಸೂಲಿ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ‘ಪ್ರಭಾವಿ’ಗಳ ವಿವರಗಳು ಲಭ್ಯವಾಗಿವೆ ಎಂಬ ಮಾಹಿತಿಗಳು ಹರಿದಾಡುತ್ತಿವೆ. ಆದರೆ ಇದು ಅದಿಕೃತವಾಗಿಲ್ಲ.
ಒಟ್ಟಾರೆ ಇತ್ತೀಚೆಗೆ ಶಿವಮೊಗ್ಗ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅಕ್ರಮ ಮರಳು ಗಣಿಗಾರಿಕೆ, ದಾಸ್ತಾನು, ಸಾಗಾಟ ದಂಧೆಯು ನಾನಾ ಕಾರಣಗಳಿಂದ ಸದ್ದು ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿತ್ತು. ಈ ನಡುವೆ ಲೋಕಾಯುಕ್ತ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯು ಸ್ವಯಂಪ್ರೇರಿತ ದೂರು ದಾಖಲಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು, ದಂಧೆಗೆ ರಿಯಲ್ ಶಾಕ್ ನೀಡುವ ಕಾರ್ಯ ಮಾಡಿದೆ. ಸದರಿ ಪ್ರಕರಣ ಮುಂದೇನಾಗಲಿದೆ? ಎಂಬುವುದನ್ನು ಕಾದು ನೋಡಬೇಕಾಗಿದೆ.
Lokayukta raid on illegal sand mafia in Shivamogga district: Major sensation!
Shivamogga, May 31: The Lokayukta teams carried out a sudden operation on May 30 against the illegal sand mining, storage, and transportation that was flourishing in Shivamogga district, creating a huge stir in the administrative circles!
For the first time in the district’s history, such a large-scale operation has been conducted against the sand mafia by the Lokayukta, sparking heated discussions in the public sphere and leaving those involved sleepless.
Officials and staff from Lokayukta units of Davanagere, Haveri, Chikkamagaluru, Chitradurga, and Belagavi districts participated in the operation. Because the raids were conducted simultaneously and in a highly organized manner, a massive scale of illegal sand activity has now come to light.
During the raids, important documents and information were seized from some sand depots. Reports suggest that details of “influential” individuals who were collecting weekly bribes (“hafta”) from the sand mafia have been found, though this has not been officially confirmed.
Overall, illegal sand mining, storage, and transportation had recently become a hot topic in Shivamogga district for various reasons. In this context, the Lokayukta registered a suo motu complaint and delivered a real shock to the mafia. What will happen next in this case remains to be seen.
