ಶಿವಮೊಗ್ಗ (shivamogga), ಜೂನ್ 19: ಶಿವಮೊಗ್ಗ ಮಹಾನಗರ ಪಾಲಿಕೆ ವ್ಯಾಪ್ತಿ ಟೀಚರ್ಸ್ ಲೇಔಟ್ ನ ಮೂಲಸೌಕರ್ಯ ಸಮಸ್ಯೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಸಂಬಂಧಿಸಿದಂತೆ, ಜೂನ್ 19 ರಂದು ಪಾಲಿಕೆ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳ ತಂಡ ಭೇಟಿಯಿತ್ತು ಸ್ಥಳೀಯ ನಿವಾಸಿಗಳ ಅಹವಾಲು ಆಲಿಸಿತು.
ಇತ್ತೀಚೆಗೆ ನಿವಾಸಿಗಳ ಕ್ಷೇಮಾಭಿವೃದ್ದಿ ಸಂಘದ ನೇತೃತ್ವದಲ್ಲಿ ಸ್ಥಳೀಯ ನಿವಾಸಿಗಳು, ವಿಧಾನ ಪರಿಷತ್ ಶಾಸಕ ಡಿ ಎಸ್ ಅರುಣ್ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಮನವಿ ಪತ್ರ ಅರ್ಪಿಸಿದ್ದರು. ಬಡಾವಣೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಯುಜಿಡಿ, ರಸ್ತೆ, ಚರಂಡಿ, ಪಾರ್ಕ್ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ದಿ ಸೇರಿದಂತೆ ವಿವಿಧ ಮೂಲಸೌಕರ್ಯ ಸಮಸ್ಯೆಗಳ ಪರಿಹಾರಕ್ಕೆ ನೆರವಾಗುವಂತೆ ಮನವಿ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದರು.
ನಿವಾಸಿಗಳ ಮನವಿಗೆ ಸ್ಪಂದಿಸಿದ್ದ ಶಾಸಕ ಡಿ ಎಸ್ ಅರುಣ್ ಅವರು, ಮಹಾನಗರ ಪಾಲಿಕೆ ಆಯುಕ್ತ ಮಾಯಣ್ಣಗೌಡರೊಂದಿಗೆ ಸಮಾಲೊಚನೆ ನಡೆಸಿದ್ದರು. ಟೀಚರ್ಸ್ ಕಾಲೋನಿಯಲ್ಲಿನ ಮೂಲಸೌಕರ್ಯ ಸಮಸ್ಯೆ ಪರಿಹರಿಸುವ ಕುರಿತಂತೆ ಅಗತ್ಯ ಕ್ರಮಕೈಗೊಳ್ಳುವಂತೆ ಸೂಚಿಸಿದ್ದರು.
ಆಯುಕ್ತರ ನಿರ್ದೇಶನದಂತೆ ಪಾಲಿಕೆ ವಾರ್ಡ್ ಎಂಜಿನಿಯರ್ ಅರುಣ್, ಯುಜಿಡಿ ವಿಭಾಗದ ಎಂಜಿಯರ್ ಹಾಲೇಶಪ್ಪ, ವಾರ್ಡ್ ಮೇಸ್ತ್ರಿ ನೇತ್ರಾವತಿ ಅವರು ಜೂನ್ 19 ರಂದು ಲೇಔಟ್ ಗೆ ಭೇಟಿ ನೀಡಿದ್ದರು. ಸ್ಥಳೀಯ ನಿವಾಸಿಗಳ ಅಹವಾಲು ಆಲಿಸಿದರು.
ಕಾಮಗಾರಿಗಳ ಅಂದಾಜು ಪಟ್ಟಿ ಸಿದ್ದಪಡಿಸಿ ಆಯುಕ್ತರಿಗೆ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಲಾಗುವುದು. ಉಳಿದಂತೆ ಪಾರ್ಕ್ ಸ್ವಚ್ಛತೆಗೆ ಸಂಬಂಧಿಸಿದಂತೆ ನಾಳೆಯಿಂದಲೇ ಅಗತ್ಯ ಕ್ರಮಕೈಗೊಳ್ಳಲಾಗುವುದು ಎಂದು ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳು ಭರವಸೆ ನೀಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ಈ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿವಾಸಿಗಳ ಕ್ಷೇಮಾಭಿವೃದ್ದಿ ಸಂಘದ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರಾದ ಪತ್ರಕರ್ತ ಬಿ ರೇಣುಕೇಶ್, ಪ್ರಮುಖರಾದ ಷಡಾಕ್ಷರಿ, ಕುಮಾರ್, ಶಿವಕುಮಾರ್, ಅಭಿನಂದನ್, ಮುರುಗೇಶ್, ಉದ್ಯಮಿ ಪ್ರವೀಣ್ ಸೇರಿದಂತೆ ಮೊದಲಾದವರಿದ್ದರು.

Shivamogga: Municipality officials visit Teachers’ Layout following MLA D.S. Arun’s directive
Shivamogga, June 19: A team of Shivamogga City Corporation officials visited Teachers’ Layout on June 19 to address infrastructure issues and listened to grievances from local residents.
Recently, under the leadership of the Residents’ Welfare Association, locals had submitted a memorandum to Legislative Council MLA D.S. Arun, requesting solutions for problems related to UGD (underground drainage), roads, stormwater drains, and park development.
Responding to the residents’ appeal, MLA D.S. Arun discussed the matter with City Corporation Commissioner Mayannagowda and instructed necessary action to resolve the infrastructure problems in Teachers’ Colony.
Following the commissioner’s directions, Ward Engineer Arun, UGD Division Engineer Haleshappa, and Ward Supervisor Netravati visited the layout on June 19 and heard the residents’ complaints.
Officials assured that an estimate list of works will be prepared and submitted to the commissioner. They also promised that measures related to park cleanliness will begin from tomorrow itself.
On this occasion, Residents’ Welfare Association President and journalist B. Renukesh, along with leaders Shadakshari, Kumar, Shivakumar, Abhinandan, Murugesh, and entrepreneur Praveen, were present.
