ಶಿವಮೊಗ್ಗ (shivamogga), ಜುಲೈ 20: ಶಿವಮೊಗ್ಗದ ಹೊರವಲಯ ಕೆಹೆಚ್’ಬಿ ಪ್ರೆಸ್ ಕಾಲೋನಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ವಿದ್ಯುತ್ ಬೇಡಿಕೆಗಿಂತ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನ ಪ್ರಮಾಣದ ಟ್ರಾನ್ಸ್’ಫಾರ್ಮಾರ್ ಗಳಿದ್ದು, ಇವುಗಳನ್ನು ತೆರವುಗೊಳಿಸುವಂತೆ ಸ್ಥಳೀಯ ನಿವಾಸಿಗಳು ಮೆಸ್ಕಾಂಗೆ ಆಗ್ರಹಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ಗೃಹಜ್ಯೋತಿ ಯೋಜನೆ ಮಾಹಿತಿ ಸಂಗ್ರಹಣೆ ಪರಿಶೀಲನೆ ಉದ್ದೇಶದಿಂದ, ಮೆಸ್ಕಾಂ ಕುಂಸಿ ಉಪ ವಿಭಾಗದ ಶ್ರೀರಾಂಪುರ ಸೆಕ್ಷನ್ ಜೂನಿಯರ್ ಎಂಜಿನಿಯರ್ (ಜೆಇ) ವಸಂತ್ ನಾಯ್ಕ್ ರವರು ಪ್ರೆಸ್ ಕಾಲೋನಿಗೆ 20/07/2026 ರಂದು ಭೇಟಿ ನೀಡಿದ್ದ ವೇಳೆ ನಿವಾಸಿಗಳು ಮನವಿ ಪತ್ರ ಅರ್ಪಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ಪ್ರೆಸ್ ಕಾಲೋನಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಸ್ತುತ ಸರಿಸುಮಾರು 50 ಮನೆಗಳಿವೆ. ಆದರೆ ಕಾಲೋನಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸುಮಾರು 35 ಕ್ಕೂ ಅಧಿಕ ಟ್ರಾನ್ಸ್’ಫಾರ್ಮಾರ್ ಗಳಿವೆ. ಈ ಹಿಂದೆ ಬಡಾವಣೆ ನಿರ್ಮಾಣದ ವೇಳೆ ನಿಯಮಕ್ಕೆ ಅನುಗುಣವಾಗಿ ಟ್ರಾನ್ಸ್’ಫಾರ್ಮಾರ್ ಗಳ ಅಳವಡಿಕೆ ಮಾಡಲಾಗಿದೆ.
ಆದರೆ ಸ್ಥಳೀಯ ವಿದ್ಯುತ್ ಬೇಡಿಕೆಗಿಂತ ಅತೀ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಪ್ರಮಾಣದ ಟ್ರಾನ್ಸ್’ಫಾರ್ಮಾರ್ ಗಳಿವೆ. ಇವುಗಳಿಂದ ಸದ್ಯ ನಾಗರಿಕರಿಗೆ ಯಾವುದೇ ಅನುಕೂಲವಿಲ್ಲ. ಮೆಸ್ಕಾಂಗೂ ಕೂಡ ಅನಗತ್ಯ ಹೊರೆಯಾಗಿ ಪರಿಣಮಿಸಿದೆ. ಅಗತ್ಯಕ್ಕಿಂತ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿರುವ ಪ್ರಮಾಣದ ಟ್ರಾನ್ಸ್’ಫಾರ್ಮಾರ್ ಗಳನ್ನು ತೆರವುಗೊಳಿಸಬೇಕು ಎಂದು ನಿವಾಸಿಗಳು ಮನವಿ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ಮನವಿ ಸ್ವೀಕರಿಸಿದ ನಂತರ ಜೆಇ ವಸಂತ ನಾಯ್ಕ್ ಅವರು ಮಾತನಾಡಿ, ಈ ಕುರಿತಂತೆ ಹಿರಿಯ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳ ಗಮನಕ್ಕೆ ತರಲಾಗುವುದು. ನಿಯಮಾನುಸಾರ ಕ್ರಮಕೈಗೊಳ್ಳಲಾಗುವುದು ಎಂದು ತಿಳಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ಮನವಿ ಅರ್ಪಿಸುವ ವೇಳೆ ಪ್ರೆಸ್ ಕಾಲೋನಿ ನಿವಾಸಿಗಳ ಕ್ಷೇಮಾಭಿವೃದ್ದಿ ಸಂಘದ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರಾದ ಪತ್ರಕರ್ತ ಬಿ ರೇಣುಕೇಶ್, ಮುಖಂಡರಾದ ಗೋಪಾಲ್ ಪೂಜಾರಿ, ಕುಶಕುಮಾರ್ ಮೊದಲಾದವರಿದ್ದರು.
Shivamogga: Request to MESCOM engineer to remove additional transformers | Shivamogga, July 20: There are more transformers than the electricity demand in KHB Press Colony on the outskirts of Shivamogga, and local residents have urged MESCOM to remove them. For the purpose of verifying the information collection for the Grihajyothi scheme, the residents submitted a petition when Srirampura Section Junior Engineer (JE) Vasant Naik of MESCOM Kumsi Sub-Division visited Press Colony on 20/07/2026.
There are currently approximately 50 houses in Press Colony. But there are more than 35 transformers in the colony. In the past, transformers were installed as per the rules during the construction of the layout.
But there are more transformers than the local electricity demand. These are currently of no benefit to the citizens. It has also become an unnecessary burden for MESCOM. The residents have requested that the transformers that are more than required should be removed.
After receiving the petition, JE Vasantha Naik spoke and said that this matter will be brought to the attention of senior officials. He said that action will be taken as per the rules.
While submitting the petition, journalist B Renukesh, president of the Press Colony Residents Welfare Development Association, leaders Gopal Poojary, Kushkumar and others were present.
