ಶಿವಮೊಗ್ಗ, ಆಗಸ್ಟ್ 24: ಮಲೆನಾಡಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಮುಂಗಾರು ಮಳೆಯ ಕಣ್ಣಾಮುಚ್ಚಾಲೆಯಾಟ ಮುಂದುವರೆದಿದೆ. ಕಳೆದ ಕೆಲ ದಿನಗಳಿಂದ ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣ ಇಳಿಕೆಯಾಗಿದ್ದ ಮಳೆ, ಇದೀಗ ಮತ್ತೆ ಬೀಳಲಾರಂಭಿಸಿದೆ. ಆದರೆ ಧಾರಾಕಾರ ಕಣ್ಮರೆಯಾಗಿದೆ.
ಜಲಾನಯನ ಪ್ರದೇಶ ವ್ಯಾಪ್ತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮಳೆಯಾಗುತ್ತಿರುವುದರಿಂದ, ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯ ಪ್ರಮುಖ ಜಲಾಶಯಗಳ ಒಳಹರಿವಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಕ್ರಮೇಣ ಏರಿಕೆ ಕಂಡುಬರಲಾರಂಭಿಸಿದೆ.
ಆಗಸ್ಟ್ 24 ರ ಬೆಳಿಗ್ಗೆ 8 ಗಂಟೆಯ ಮಾಹಿತಿಯಂತೆ ರಾಜ್ಯದ ಪ್ರಮುಖ ಜಲವಿದ್ಯುತ್ ಉತ್ಪಾದನಾ ಕೇಂದ್ರವಾದ ಲಿಂಗನಮಕ್ಕಿ ಡ್ಯಾಂನ ಒಳಹರಿವು 13,606 ಕ್ಯೂಸೆಕ್ ಇದೆ. 5362 ಕ್ಯೂಸೆಕ್ ಹೊರ ಹರಿವಿದೆ.
ಡ್ಯಾಂನ ನೀರಿನ ಮಟ್ಟ 1796.50 (ಗರಿಷ್ಠ ಮಟ್ಟ : 1819) ಅಡಿಯಿದೆ. ಕಳೆದ ವರ್ಷ ಇದೇ ದಿನದಂದು ಡ್ಯಾಂ ನೀರಿನ ಮಟ್ಟ 1817 ಅಡಿ ನೀರು ಸಂಗ್ರಹವಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಪ್ರಸ್ತುತ ವರ್ಷ ಮಳೆ ಕೊರತೆಯಿಂದ ಡ್ಯಾಂನಲ್ಲಿ ನಿರೀಕ್ಷಿತ ಮಟ್ಟದಲ್ಲಿ ನೀರು ಸಂಗ್ರಹವಾಗಿಲ್ಲ.
ಮಧ್ಯ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ಭಾಗದ ಪ್ರಮುಖ ಜಲಾಶಯವಾದ ಭದ್ರಾ ಜಲಾಶಯದ ಒಳಹರಿವು 4580 ಕ್ಯೂಸೆಕ್ ಇದೆ. 205 ಕ್ಯೂಸೆಕ್ ನೀರನ್ನು ಹೊರ ಬಿಡಲಾಗುತ್ತಿದೆ. ಡ್ಯಾಂ ನೀರಿನ ಮಟ್ಟ 175 ಅಡಿ 6 ಇಂಚು (ಗರಿಷ್ಠ ಮಟ್ಟ : 186) ಇದೆ. ಡ್ಯಾಂ ಗರಿಷ್ಠ ಮಟ್ಟ ತಲುಪಲು ಇನ್ನೂ 11 ಅಡಿಯಷ್ಟು ನೀರು ಹರಿದು ಬರಬೇಕಾಗಿದೆ.
ಉಳಿದಂತೆ ತುಂಗಾ ಜಲಾಶಯದ ಒಳಹರಿವು 14,922 ಕ್ಯೂಸೆಕ್ ಗೆ ಏರಿಕೆಯಾಗಿದೆ. ಈಗಾಗಲೇ ಡ್ಯಾಂ ಗರಿಷ್ಠ ಮಟ್ಟ ತಲುಪಿರುವುದರಿಂದ ಒಳಹರಿನಷ್ಟೆ ನೀರನ್ನು ನದಿ ಹಾಗೂ ಕಾಲುವೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಹೊರ ಬಿಡಲಾಗುತ್ತಿದೆ.

As of 8 am on August 24, the inflow of Linganamakki Dam, the major hydroelectric power generation center of the state, is 13,606 cusecs. There is an outflow of 5362 cusecs.
The water level of the dam is 1796.50 feet (maximum level: 1819). On the same day last year, the water level of the dam was 1817 feet. This year, due to lack of rain, the water in the dam has not accumulated at the expected level.
The inflow of Bhadra reservoir, the main reservoir of central Karnataka, is 4580 cusecs. 205 cusecs of water is being released. The water level in the dam is 175 feet 6 inches (maximum level: 186). Another 11 feet of water needs to flow to reach the maximum level of the dam.
Meanwhile, the inflow of Tunga reservoir has increased to 14,922 cusecs. Since the dam has already reached its maximum level, only the inflow water is being released into the rivers and canals.
