ಶಿವಮೊಗ್ಗ, ಮಾರ್ಚ್ 06 (shivamogga): ಚಲಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ವೇಳೆಯೇ ಡಸ್ಟರ್ ಕಾರಿನ ಎಂಜಿನ್ ಭಾಗದಲ್ಲಿ ಬೆಂಕಿ ಕಾಣಿಸಿಕೊಂಡ ಘಟನೆ ಶಿವಮೊಗ್ಗ ನಗರದ ಹೊರವಲಯ ಆಲ್ಕೋಳ ಸರ್ಕಲ್ ನ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಹೆದ್ದಾರಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮಾರ್ಚ್ 06 ರ ಸಂಜೆ ನಡೆದಿದೆ.
ಸದರಿ ಕಾರು ಗಾಡಿಕೊಪ್ಪದ ಕಡೆಯಿಂದ ಬಸ್ ನಿಲ್ದಾಣದೆಡೆಗೆ ತೆರಳುತ್ತಿತ್ತು. ಆಲ್ಕೋಳ ಸರ್ಕಲ್ ಬಳಿ ಆಗಮಿಸಿದ ವೇಳೆ, ಏಕಾಏಕಿ ಕಾರಿನ ಮುಂಭಾಗದ ಎಂಜಿನ್ ಬಳಿ ಹೊಗೆ ಕಾಣಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಿದೆ. ತದನಂತರ ಕ್ಷಣಮಾತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ಬೆಂಕಿಯಿಂದ ಹೊತ್ತಿ ಉರಿಯಲಾರಂಭಿಸಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಸ್ಥಳೀಯರು ಮಾಹಿತಿ ನೀಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ತಕ್ಷಣವೇ ಚಾಲಕ ಕಾರನ್ನು ರಸ್ತೆ ಮಧ್ಯೆಯೇ ನಿಲ್ಲಿಸಿದ್ದು, ಸಾರ್ವಜನಿಕರೊಂದಿಗೆ ಸೇರಿಕೊಂಡು ಎಂಜಿನ್ ಭಾಗದಲ್ಲಿ ಹೊತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಬೆಂಕಿ ನಂದಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಲಾಗಿದೆ.
ಸದರಿ ಕಾರು ಗ್ಯಾರೇಜ್ ವೊಂದರಲ್ಲಿ ದುರಸ್ತಿಗೆ ಬಿಡಲಾಗಿದ್ದು, ಮೆಕಾನಿಕ್ ಓರ್ವರು ಕಾರನ್ನು ಡ್ರೈವ್ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗುವ ವೇಳೆ ಘಟನೆ ನಡೆದಿದೆ ಎಂಬ ಮಾಹಿತಿ ತಿಳಿದುಬಂದಿದ್ದು, ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನ ವಿವರಗಳು ಇನ್ನಷ್ಟೆ ಲಭ್ಯವಾಗಬೇಕಾಗಿದೆ.
Shivamogga: Car catches fire on National Highway!
Shivamogga, March 06: A fire broke out in the engine compartment of a moving Duster car on the National Highway near Alkola Circle, on the outskirts of Shivamogga city, on the evening of March 06.
The car was traveling from Gadikoppa towards the bus stand. As it reached Alkola Circle, smoke suddenly appeared near the engine in the front. Within moments, flames erupted, according to local witnesses.
The driver immediately stopped the car in the middle of the road and, along with members of the public, managed to extinguish the fire in the engine compartment.
Reports suggest that the car had been left at a garage for repairs, and a mechanic was driving it at the time of the incident. Further details are yet to be confirmed.
