ಶಿವಮೊಗ್ಗ (shivamogga), ಮಾರ್ಚ್ 11: ಬಾಲಕಿ ಮೇಲೆ ದೌರ್ಜನ್ಯ ಎಸಗಿದ್ದ ಯುವಕನೋರ್ವನಿಗೆ 20 ವರ್ಷ ಕಠಿಣ ಜೈಲು ಶಿಕ್ಷೆ ವಿಧಿಸಿ, ಶಿವಮೊಗ್ಗದ ಜಿಲ್ಲಾ ಮತ್ತು ಸತ್ರ ನ್ಯಾಯಾಲಯ (ಎಫ್.ಟಿ.ಎಸ್.ಸಿ – 1) ಮಾರ್ಚ್ 10 ರಂದು ತೀರ್ಪು ನೀಡಿದೆ.
ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯ ಶಿಕಾರಿಪುರ ತಾಲೂಕಿನ ಶಿರಾಳಕೊಪ್ಪ ಸಮೀಪದ ನಿವಾಸಿ, 23 ವರ್ಷದ ಯುವಕನೇ (ಪೋಕ್ಸೋ ಕಾಯ್ದೆಯಡಿ ವೈಯಕ್ತಿಕ ವಿವರ ಬಹಿರಂಗಪಡಿಸುವಂತಿಲ್ಲ) ಜೈಲು ಶಿಕ್ಷೆಗೆ ಗುರಿಯಾದವನೆಂದು ಗುರುತಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ.
ಯುವಕನಿಗೆ ಜೈಲು ಶಿಕ್ಷೆಯ ಜೊತೆಗೆ 1 ಲಕ್ಷ ರೂ. ದಂಡ ವಿಧಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ನೊಂದ ಬಾಲಕಿ ಕುಟುಂಬಕ್ಕೆ ಸರ್ಕಾರದಿಂದ 4 ಲಕ್ಷ ರೂ. ಪರಿಹಾರ ನೀಡುವಂತೆ ನ್ಯಾಯಾಧೀಶರು ಆದೇಶಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ನ್ಯಾಯಾಧೀಶರಾದ ನಿಂಗನಗೌಡ ಭ ಪಾಟೀಲ್ ಅವರು ಈ ತೀರ್ಪು ನೀಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಸರ್ಕಾರದ ಪರವಾಗಿ ಸರ್ಕಾರಿ ಅಭಿಯೋಜಕರಾದ ಶ್ರೀಧರ್ ಅವರು ವಾದ ಮಂಡಿಸಿದ್ದರು.
ಪ್ರಕರಣದ ಹಿನ್ನೆಲೆ : ಶಿಕ್ಷೆಗೊಳಗಾದ ಯುವಕನು 16 ವರ್ಷ ವಯೋಮಾನದ ಬಾಲಕಿಯನ್ನು ಪರಿಚಯ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದ. ನಂತರ ಮದುವೆ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವುದಾಗಿ ನಂಬಿಸಿ, ಬಾಲಕಿಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಲೈಂಗಿಕ ದೌರ್ಜನ್ಯ ಎಸಗಿದ್ದ. ಈ ಕುರಿತಂತೆ ಶಿರಾಳಕೊಪ್ಪ ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ಠಾಣೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಪೋಕ್ಸೋ ಕಾಯ್ದೆಯಡಿ ಪ್ರಕರಣ ದಾಖಲಾಗಿತ್ತು.
ಅಂದಿನ ಡಿವೈಎಸ್ಪಿ ಕೇಶವ್ ಕೆ ವಿ ಅವರು ಪ್ರಕರಣದ ತನಿಖೆ ನಡೆಸಿದ್ದರು. ಈ ಸಂಬಂಧ ನ್ಯಾಯಾಲಯಕ್ಕೆ ಆರೋಪಪಟ್ಟಿ ದಾಖಲಿಸಿದ್ದರು.
Shikaripura: 23-year-old youth sentenced to 20 years rigorous imprisonment!
Shivamogga, March 11: A 23-year-old man has been sentenced to 20 years of rigorous imprisonment by the District and Sessions Court (FTSC–1) in Shivamogga on March 10, for sexually assaulting a minor girl.
The convicted youth, a resident near Shiralkoppa in Shikaripura taluk, was identified but his personal details are withheld under the POCSO Act. Along with the prison sentence, he has been fined ₹1 lakh. The court also directed the government to provide ₹4 lakh compensation to the victim’s family.
The verdict was delivered by Judge Ninganagouda B. Patil. Public Prosecutor Sridhar argued the case on behalf of the government.
Case background: The convicted youth had befriended a 16-year-old girl and, under the pretext of marrying her, committed sexual assault. A case was registered under the POCSO Act at Shiralkoppa Police Station.
At the time, DYSP Keshav K.V. investigated the case and filed the charge sheet before the court.
