ಶಿವಮೊಗ್ಗ (shivamogga), ಮಾರ್ಚ್ 17: ಕೊಲೆ ಪ್ರಕರಣಕ್ಕೆ ಸಂಬಂಧಿಸಿದಂತೆ ಇಬ್ಬರಿಗೆ ಜೀವಾವಧಿ ಶಿಕ್ಷೆ ವಿಧಿಸಿ, ಶಿವಮೊಗ್ಗದ 1 ನೇ ಹೆಚ್ಚುವರಿ ಜಿಲ್ಲಾ ಮತ್ತು ಸತ್ರ ನ್ಯಾಯಾಲಯ ತೀರ್ಪು ನೀಡಿದೆ.
ಶಿವಮೊಗ್ಗ ತಾಲೂಕು ಬೆಳಲಕಟ್ಟೆ ಗ್ರಾಮದ ನಿವಾಸಿಗಳಾದ ಕುಮಾರ್ (57) ಹಾಗೂ ಕಾರ್ತಿಕ್ (28) ಜೈಲು ಶಿಕ್ಷೆಗೆ ಗುರಿಯಾದವರೆಂದು ಗುರುತಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ.
ಜೈಲು ಶಿಕ್ಷೆಯ ಜೊತೆಗೆ ಅಪರಾಧಿಗಳಿಗೆ 57 ಸಾವಿರ ರೂ. ದಂಡ ಕೂಡ ನ್ಯಾಯಾಲಯ ವಿಧಿಸಿದೆ. ನ್ಯಾಯಾಧೀಶರಾದ ಅಭಯ್ ಧನಪಾಲ್ ಚೌಗಲ ಅವರು ಈ ತೀರ್ಪು ನೀಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಸರ್ಕಾರದ ಪರವಾಗಿ ಸರ್ಕಾರಿ ವಕೀಲರಾದ ಮಮತ ಅವರು ವಾದ ಮಂಡಿಸಿದ್ದರು.
ಪ್ರಕರಣದ ಹಿನ್ನೆಲೆ : ಬೆಳಲಕಟ್ಟೆ ಗ್ರಾಮದ ಮಹೇಶಪ್ಪ ಎಂಬುವರೊಂದಿಗೆ ಪ್ರಸ್ತುತ ಶಿಕ್ಷೆಗೊಳಗಾದ ಕುಮಾರ್ ಹಾಗೂ ಕಾರ್ತಿಕ್ ರವರಿಗೆ ಜಮೀನು ವಿವಾದಕ್ಕೆ ಸಂಬಂಧಿಸಿದಂತೆ ವೈಮನಸ್ಸಿತ್ತು. ಆಗಾಗ್ಗೆ ಜಗಳವಾಗುತ್ತಿತ್ತು.
ಇದೇ ವಿಚಾರದಲ್ಲಿ 3-12-2023 ರಂದು ಮತ್ತೋಡು ಹನಸವಾಡಿ ಸರ್ಕಲ್ ಬಳಿ ಮಹೇಶಪ್ಪರವರು ಸ್ಕೂಟಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಬರುವಾಗ ಅವರ ಮೇಲೆ ದಾಳಿ ನಡೆಸಲಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಪೆಟ್ರೋಲ್ ಸುರಿದು ಬೆಂಕಿ ಹಚ್ಚಿ ಸುಟ್ಟು ಹಾಕಲಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಈ ಕುರಿತಂತೆ ಗ್ರಾಮಾಂತರ ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ಠಾಣೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಕರಣ ದಾಖಲಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಅಂದಿನ ಇನ್ಸ್’ಪೆಕ್ಟರ್ ಸತ್ಯನಾರಾಯಣರವರು ಪ್ರಕರಣದ ತನಿಖೆ ನಡೆಸಿದ್ದರು. ನ್ಯಾಯಾಲಯಕ್ಕೆ ಆರೋಪಪಟ್ಟಿ ದಾಖಲಿಸಿದ್ದರು.
Shivamogga: Murder Case – Two Sentenced to Life Imprisonment!
Shivamogga, March 17: In connection with a murder case, two individuals have been sentenced to life imprisonment by the 1st Additional District and Sessions Court in Shivamogga. The convicts are Kumar (57) and Karthik (28), residents of Belalakatte village in Shivamogga taluk. Along with the prison sentence, the court has also imposed a fine of ₹57,000 on them. The verdict was delivered by Judge Abhay Dhanapal Chougala. Government advocate Mamata argued the case on behalf of the state.
Case Background: There was a long-standing land dispute between the convicts Kumar and Karthik and a man named Maheshappa from Belalakatte village. Frequent quarrels had taken place over this issue. On December 3, 2023, near Hanesavadi Circle in Mattodu, when Maheshappa was traveling on his scooter, the accused attacked him. They poured petrol on him, set him on fire, and burned him to death. A case was registered at the Rural Police Station. Then Inspector Satyanarayana investigated the matter and filed the chargesheet in court.
