ಶಿವಮೊಗ್ಗ (shivamogga), ಮಾರ್ಚ್ 24: ಶಿವಮೊಗ್ಗ ತಾಲೂಕಿನ ತುಪ್ಪೂರು ಗ್ರಾಮದ ಸಮೀಪ ಮಾರ್ಚ್ 24 ರ ಸಂಜೆ, ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಹೆದ್ದಾರಿ ಮೇಲೆಯೇ ಮರವೊಂದು ಉರುಳಿ ಬಿದ್ದ ಘಟನೆ ನಡೆದಿದೆ.
ಇದರಿಂದ ಶಿವಮೊಗ್ಗ – ಸಾಗರ ನಡುವೆ ಕೆಲ ಸಮಯ ವಾಹನ ಸಂಚಾರ ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣ ಅಸ್ತವ್ಯಸ್ತವಾಗಿತ್ತು. ರಸ್ತೆಯ ಎರಡೂ ಕಡೆ ನೂರಾರು ವಾಹನಗಳು ಸಾಲುಗಟ್ಟಿ ನಿಂತಿದ್ದವು.
ತಕ್ಷಣವೇ ಸ್ಥಳೀಯರು, ಕೆಲ ವಾಹನ ಸವಾರರು, ಬಸ್ ಗಳಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ಪ್ರಯಾಣಿಕರು ಹೆದ್ದಾರಿ ಮೇಲೆ ಬಿದ್ದಿದ್ದ ಮರವನ್ನು ತೆರವುಗೊಳಿಸಿ ಸುಗಮ ವಾಹನ ಸಂಚಾರಕ್ಕೆ ಅವಕಾಶ ಕಲ್ಪಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಎಂದು ಸ್ಥಳೀಯರು ಮಾಹಿತಿ ನೀಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಹೆದ್ದಾರಿ ಇಕ್ಕೆಲಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಕೆಲ ಮರಗಿಡಗಳ ರಂಬೆಕೊಂಬೆಗಳು ಅಪಾಯಕಾರಿ ಸ್ಥಿತಿಯಲ್ಲಿವೆ. ಜೋರಾಗಿ ಗಾಳಿಮಳೆಯಾದ ವೇಳೆ, ರಸ್ತೆ ಮೇಲೆ ಬೀಳುತ್ತಿವೆ. ತಕ್ಷಣವೇ ಅರಣ್ಯ ಇಲಾಖೆ ಹಾಗೂ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಹೆದ್ದಾರಿ ಇಲಾಖೆ ಇತ್ತ ಗಮನಹರಿಸಿ, ಅಗತ್ಯ ಮುನ್ನೆಚ್ಚರಿಕೆ ಕ್ರಮಕೈಗೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕು ಎಂದು ನಾಗರೀಕರು ಆಗ್ರಹಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
Shivamogga: Tree falls on National Highway near Tuppuru!
Shivamogga, March 24: On the evening of March 24, near Tuppuru village in Shivamogga taluk, a tree fell across the National Highway.
As a result, traffic between Shivamogga and Sagara was completely disrupted for some time. Hundreds of vehicles were lined up on both sides of the road.
Immediately, local residents, some motorists, and bus passengers joined together to clear the fallen tree from the highway, allowing smooth traffic movement again, according to locals.
Branches of several roadside trees are in a dangerous condition along the National Highway. During heavy winds and rain, they often fall onto the road. Citizens have urged the Forest Department and the National Highway Authority to take immediate precautionary measures.
