ಶಿವಮೊಗ್ಗ (shivamogga), ಮೇ 01: ಶಿವಮೊಗ್ಗ ನಗರದ ಹೊರವಲಯ ಕೆ ಹೆಚ್ ಬಿ ಪ್ರೆಸ್ ಕಾಲೋನಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕುಡಿಯುವ ನೀರು ಪೂರೈಕೆಯ ಪೈಪ್ ಲೈನ್ ದುರಸ್ತಿಗೆಂದು ಜೆಸಿಬಿ ಮೂಲಕ ತೆಗೆದಿದ್ದ ಗುಂಡಿಯಲ್ಲಿ, ನಾಯಿಯೊಂದು ಸತ್ತು ಬಿದ್ದು, ಕೊಳೆತು ನಾರುತ್ತಿದೆ. ಈ ಕುರಿತಂತೆ ಜಲ ಮಂಡಳಿ ಎಂಜಿನಿಯರ್ ಗಳ ಗಮನಕ್ಕೆ ತಂದರೂ ಇಲ್ಲಿಯವರೆಗೂ ಸಮಸ್ಯೆ ಪರಿಹಾರಕ್ಕೆ ಕ್ರಮಕೈಗೊಳ್ಳದೆ ದಿವ್ಯ ನಿರ್ಲಕ್ಷ್ಯವಹಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಎಂದು ನಾಗರಿಕರು ಆರೋಪಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ಕಳೆದ ಹಲವು ವಾರಗಳ ಹಿಂದೆ ಪೈಪ್ ಲೈನ್ ಒಡೆದು ನೀರು ವ್ಯರ್ಥವಾಗಿ ಹರಿಯುತ್ತಿತ್ತು. ಈ ಹಿನ್ನೆಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸದರಿ ಸ್ಥಳದಲ್ಲಿ ಗುಂಡಿ ತೆಗೆಯಲಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಆದರೆ ಪೈಪ್ ಲೈನ್ ದುರಸ್ತಿ ಪಡಿಸಿರಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಗುಂಡಿಯೂ ಮುಚ್ಚಿರಲಿಲ್ಲ.
ಇತ್ತೀಚೆಗೆ ಸದರಿ ಗುಂಡಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಾಯಿಯೊಂದು ಸತ್ತು ಬಿದ್ದು, ದುರ್ನಾತ ಬೀರುತ್ತಿದೆ. ಈ ಕುರಿತಂತೆ ಕೆಲ ದಿನಗಳ ಹಿಂದೆಯೇ ಜಲ ಮಂಡಳಿ ಹಿರಿಯ ಎಂಜಿನಿಯರ್ ಗಳ ಗಮನಕ್ಕೆ ಸಮಸ್ಯೆ ತರಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಆದರೆ ನಿರ್ಲಕ್ಷ್ಯ, ಬೇಜವಾಬ್ದಾರಿ ಧೋರಣೆಯಿಂದ ಇಲ್ಲಿಯವರೆಗೂ ಸಮಸ್ಯೆ ಪರಿಹಾರವಾಗಿಲ್ಲ ಎಂದು ಸ್ಥಳೀಯರು ಆಕ್ರೋಶ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಪಡಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ.
ತತ್’ಕ್ಷಣವೇ ಸಮಸ್ಯೆ ಪರಿಹಾರಕ್ಕೆ ಜಲ ಮಂಡಳಿ ಎಂಜಿನಿಯರ್ ಗಳು ಕ್ರಮಕೈಗೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕು. ಇಲ್ಲದಿದ್ದರೆ ಕಚೇರಿ ಮುಂದೆ ಹೋರಾಟ ನಡೆಸಲಾಗುವುದು ಎಂದು ಸ್ಥಳೀಯರು ಎಚ್ಚರಿಕೆ ನೀಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
Dog found dead in a pit dug for repairing a drinking water supply pipe – Shivamogga Water Board engineers’ blatant negligence!
Shivamogga, May 01: A dog has died and is rotting in a pit dug by a JCB for repairing a drinking water supply pipeline in KHB Press Colony on the outskirts of Shivamogga city. Citizens have accused the Water Board engineers of being completely negligent in not taking any action to resolve the problem even after bringing this matter to their attention.
Several weeks ago, the pipeline burst and water was flowing in vain. In this context, a pit was dug at the said place. But the pipeline was not repaired. Similarly, the pit was not closed either.
Recently, a dog has died in the said pit and is emitting a foul smell. The problem was brought to the attention of senior engineers of the Water Board a few days ago. But locals are expressing anger that the problem has not been resolved till now due to negligence and irresponsibility.
The water board engineers should take immediate action to resolve the problem. Otherwise, locals have warned that they will stage a protest in front of the office.
