ಶಿವಮೊಗ್ಗ (shivamogga), ಆಗಸ್ಟ್ 01 : ಮಲೆನಾಡಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಮತ್ತೆ ಕ್ರಮೇಣ ಮುಂಗಾರು ಮಳೆ ಚುರುಕುಗೊಳ್ಳಲಾರಂಭಿಸಿದೆ. ಜಲಾನಯನ ಪ್ರದೇಶ ವ್ಯಾಪ್ತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಉತ್ತಮ ಮಳೆಯಾಗುತ್ತಿರುವುದರಿಂದ, ತುಂಗಾ ನದಿ ಮೈದುಂಬಿ ಹರಿಯಲಾರಂಭಿಸಿದೆ. ಶಿವಮೊಗ್ಗ ತಾಲೂಕಿನ ತುಂಗಾ ಜಲಾಶಯದ ಒಳಹರಿವಿನಲ್ಲಿ ನಿರಂತರ ಏರಿಕೆ ಕಂಡುಬರಲಾರಂಭಿಸಿದೆ.
01/08/2026 ರ ಬೆಳಿಗ್ಗೆ 8 ಗಂಟೆಯ ಮಾಹಿತಿಯಂತೆ, ತುಂಗಾ ಜಲಾಶಯದ ಒಳಹರಿವು 55,197 ಕ್ಯೂಸೆಕ್ ಗೆ ಏರಿಕೆಯಾಗಿದೆ. ನಿನ್ನೆ ಸಂಜೆಯ ಮಾಹಿತಿ ಅನುಸಾರ, ಡ್ಯಾಂನ ಒಳಹರಿವು ಸರಿಸುಮಾರು 29 ಸಾವಿರ ಕ್ಯೂಸೆಕ್ ಇತ್ತು.
ಹಲವು ವಾರಗಳ ಹಿಂದೆಯೇ ತುಂಗಾ ಡ್ಯಾಂ ಗರಿಷ್ಠ ಮಟ್ಟ ತಲುಪಿದೆ. ಈ ಹಿನ್ನೆಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಒಳಹರಿವಿನಷ್ಟೆ ನೀರನ್ನು ಡ್ಯಾಂನ ಎಲ್ಲ ಕ್ರಸ್ಟ್ ಗೇಟ್ ಗಳನ್ನು ತೆರೆದು ನದಿಗೆ ಬಿಡಲಾಗುತ್ತಿದೆ.
ತುಂಗಾ ಜಲಾಶಯದ ಹೊರ ಹರಿವು ಹೆಚ್ಚುತ್ತಿರುವುದರಿಂದ ಶಿವಮೊಗ್ಗ ನಗರದ ಮೂಲಕ ಹಾದು ಹೋಗಿರುವ ತುಂಗಾ ನದಿಯು ಮತ್ತೆ ಮೈದುಂಬಿ ಹರಿಯಲಾರಂಭಿಸಿದೆ.
ತುಂಗಾ ಜಲಾಶಯದ ಹೊರ ಹರಿವಿನ ಪ್ರಮಾಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಗಣನೀಯ ಹೆಚ್ಚಳವಾಗಿರುವುದರಿಂದ ಹೊಸಪೇಟೆಯ ತುಂಗಾಭದ್ರಾ ಡ್ಯಾಂನ ಒಳಹರಿವಿನಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಹೆಚ್ಚಳ ಕಂಡುಬಂದಿದೆ. ಇದು ಟಿಬಿ ಡ್ಯಾಂನ ಅಚ್ಚುಕಟ್ಟು ವ್ಯಾಪ್ತಿಯ ರೈತರ ಸಂತಸಕ್ಕೆ ಕಾರಣವಾಗಿದ್ದು, ಮಲೆನಾಡಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಧಾರಾಕಾರ ಮಳೆಗಾಗಿ ಆ ಭಾಗದ ರೈತರು ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

As of 8 am on 01/08/2026, the inflow of the Tunga reservoir has increased to 55,197 cusecs. As per the information received yesterday evening, the inflow of the dam was approximately 29 thousand cusecs.
The Tunga dam reached its maximum level several weeks ago. In this context, all the crust gates of the dam are being opened and water is being released into the river as per the inflow.
The Tunga river, which passes through Shivamogga city, has started flowing again due to the increase in the outflow of the Tunga reservoir.
Due to the significant increase in the outflow of the Tunga reservoir, the inflow of the Tungabhadra dam in Hospet has also increased. This has led to the joy of farmers in the Achukattu area of the TB dam, and the farmers of that area are praying for heavy rains in the hilly areas.
