ಶಿವಮೊಗ್ಗ (shivamogga), ಮಾರ್ಚ್ 27: ಶಿವಮೊಗ್ಗ ಮಹಾನಗರ ಪಾಲಿಕೆ 1 ನೇ ವಾರ್ಡ್ ವ್ಯಾಪ್ತಿಯ ಟೀಚರ್ಸ್ ಕಾಲೋನಿ ಸಮೀಪ ಹಾಗೂ ಎಂಎಸ್’ಕೆ ಸಿಟಿ ಲೇಔಟ್ ರಸ್ತೆಯಲ್ಲಿ, ಅಪಾಯಕಾರಿ ಸ್ಥಿತಿಯಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ಬೀದಿ ದೀಪದ ಸ್ವಿಚ್ ಬೋರ್ಡ್ ಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾರ್ಚ್ 27 ರಂದು ಪಾಲಿಕೆ ಆಡಳಿತ ಬದಲಾಯಿಸಿದೆ. ಹೊಸ ಸ್ವಿಚ್ ಬೋರ್ಡ್ ಗಳನ್ನು ಹಾಕಿದೆ.
ಕಳೆದ ಹಲವು ದಿನಗಳಿಂದ ಸ್ವಿಚ್ ಬೋರ್ಡ್ ಗಳು ಅಪಾಯಕಾರಿ ಸ್ಥಿತಿಯಲ್ಲಿದ್ದವು. ವೈಯರ್ ಗಳು ಶಾರ್ಟ್ ಆಗುತ್ತಿದ್ದು, ಮಾರಣಾಂತಿಕವಾಗಿದ್ದವು. ಈ ಕುರಿತಂತೆ ಸ್ಥಳೀಯ ನಿವಾಸಿ ಕುಮಾರ್ ಅವರು ಪಾಲಿಕೆ ಆಡಳಿತದ ವಿದ್ಯುತ್ ವಿಭಾಗದ ಹೆಲ್ಪ್ ಲೈನ್ ಗೆ ಮಾಹಿತಿ ನೀಡಿದ್ದರು. ಆದಾಗ್ಯೂ ಅಪಾಯಕಾರಿ ಸ್ಥಿತಿ ಬದಲಾಗಿರಲಿಲ್ಲ.
ಈ ಸಂಬಂಧ ‘ಉದಯ ಸಾಕ್ಷಿ’ ಯೂಟ್ಯೂಬ್ ನ್ಯೂಸ್ ಚಾನಲ್ ನಲ್ಲಿ ಮಾರ್ಚ್ 26 ರಂದು ಕುಮಾರ್ ಅವರ ಹೇಳಿಕೆ ಪ್ರಸಾರವಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಅವರ ಹೇಳಿಕೆಯು ಸೋಶಿಯಲ್ ಮೀಡಿಯಾದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಾಕಷ್ಟು ವೈರಲ್ ಆಗಿತ್ತು. ವರದಿ ಪ್ರಸಾರವಾದ ಬೆನ್ನಲ್ಲೆ ಎಚ್ಚೆತ್ತ ಪಾಲಿಕೆ ಎಲೆಕ್ಟ್ರಿಕಲ್ ವಿಭಾಗದ ಸಿಬ್ಬಂದಿಗಳು ಅವ್ಯವಸ್ಥೆ ಸರಿಪಡಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಇತ್ತೀಚೆಗೆ ಬಿದ್ದ ಮಳೆ – ಗಾಳಿಯಿಂದ ಹಾಳಾಗಿದ್ದ ಬೀದಿ ದೀಪಗಳನ್ನು ದುರಸ್ತಿಗೊಳಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

Shivamogga: Dangerous Switchboards Repaired Immediately After ‘Udaya Saakshi’ Report
Shivamogga, March 27: On March 27, the Shivamogga City Corporation replaced hazardous streetlight switchboards near Teachers’ Colony in Ward No. 1 and on the MSK City Layout Road. New switchboards were installed to ensure safety.
For several days, the old switchboards had been in a dangerous condition, with wires short-circuiting and posing a fatal risk. Local resident Kumar had informed the Corporation’s electrical helpline, but no action was taken.
On March 26, Kumar’s statement was broadcast on the ‘Udaya Saakshi’ YouTube news channel, and the video went viral on social media. Following the report, the Corporation’s electrical department staff quickly fixed the faulty switchboards. They also repaired streetlights that had been damaged in recent rain and wind.
Kumar and other local residents expressed gratitude, saying: “We thank B. Renukesh of Udaya Saakshi Digital News for bringing citizens’ problems to the administration’s attention, and we appreciate the Corporation for resolving the issue within a timely manner.”
