ಶಿವಮೊಗ್ಗ, ಮಾರ್ಚ್ 28: ತಂದೆಯ ಸಾವಿನ ನೋವಿನ ನಡುವೆಯೂ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಯೋರ್ವ ಎಸ್ಎಸ್ಎಲ್’ಸಿ ಪರೀಕ್ಷೆ ಬರೆದ ಘಟನೆ ಮಾರ್ಚ್ 28 ರಂದು ಶಿವಮೊಗ್ಗ ತಾಲೂಕಿನ ದ್ಯಾವಿನಕೆರೆ ಗ್ರಾಮದಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆದಿದೆ.
ದ್ಯಾವಿನಕೆರೆ ಗ್ರಾಮದ ನಿವಾಸಿ ಪ್ರೀತಂ ಎಸ್ಎಸ್ಎಲ್’ಸಿ ಪರೀಕ್ಷೆ ಬರೆದ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಯಾಗಿದ್ದಾನೆ. ಈತ ಮಂಡಘಟ್ಟ ಗ್ರಾಮದ ಪ್ರೌಢಶಾಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅಭ್ಯಾಸ ನಡೆಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದ.
ಈತನ ತಂದೆ ಮಂಜುನಾಥ್ (45) ಎಂಬುವರು, ಸಾಲದ ಬಾಧೆಯಿಂದ ಕಳೆದ ಎರಡು ದಿನಗಳ ಹಿಂದೆ ವಿಷಪ್ರಾಶನ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದರು. ಇವರನ್ನು ಶಿವಮೊಗ್ಗದ ಸರ್ಕಾರಿ ಮೆಗ್ಗಾನ್ ಆಸ್ಪತ್ರೆಗೆ ದಾಖಲಿಸಲಾಗಿತ್ತು.
ಆದರೆ ನಿನ್ನೆ ರಾತ್ರಿ ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆ ಫಲಕಾರಿಯಾಗದೆ ಅವರು ಅಸುನೀಗಿದ್ದರು. ಕುಟುಂಬದಲ್ಲಿ ಶೋಕ ಮನೆ ಮಾಡಿತ್ತು. ಇದರಿಂದ ಶನಿವಾರ ನಿಗದಿಯಾಗಿದ್ದ ಗಣಿತ ಪರೀಕ್ಷೆಗೆ ಪ್ರೀತಂ ಗೈರು ಹಾಜರಾಗುವ ನಿರ್ಧಾರ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದ.
ವಿಷಯ ತಿಳಿದ ಬಿಇಓ ರಮೇಶ್ ನಾಯ್ಕ್ ಅವರು ಬೆಳಿಗ್ಗೆ ಪ್ರೀತಂ ಮನೆಗೆ ತೆರಳಿ ಸಮಾಲೋಚಿಸಿದ್ದರು. ಕುಟುಂಬ ಸದಸ್ಯರು ಹಾಗೂ ಬಾಲಕನ ಮನವೊಲಿಸಿದ್ದರು. ಯಾವುದೇ ಕಾರಣಕ್ಕೂ ಪರೀಕ್ಷೆಗೆ ಗೈರು ಹಾಜರಾಗದಂತೆ ಮನವಿ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದರು.
ತದನಂತರ ಬಿಇಓರವರು ತಮ್ಮ ಕಚೇರಿ ಜೀಪ್ ನಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ಪ್ರೀತಂನನ್ನು ಆತನ ಮನೆಯಿಂದ ಆಯನೂರಿನ ಪರೀಕ್ಷಾ ಕೇಂದ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ಕರೆತಂದು ಬಿಟ್ಟಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ಬಿಇಓ ಹಾಗೂ ಶಾಲಾ ಶಿಕ್ಷಕರ ಸಕಾಲಿಕ ಕ್ರಮದಿಂದ ಪರೀಕ್ಷೆಗೆ ಗೈರು ಹಾಜರಾಗಲು ಮುಂದಾಗಿದ್ದ ಬಾಲಕ, ಯಶಸ್ವಿಯಾಗಿ ಪರೀಕ್ಷೆ ಬರೆಯುವಂತಾಯಿತು ಎಂದು ಸ್ಥಳೀಯ ಗ್ರಾಮಸ್ಥರು ತಿಳಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

Shivamogga, March 28: In a moving incident, a student appeared for his SSLC exam on March 28 in Dyavinakere village of Shivamogga taluk, even while grieving the death of his father.
The student, Preetham, a resident of Dyavinakere village, is studying at the high school in Mandaghatta. His father, Manjunath (45), had consumed poison two days ago due to debt-related distress. He was admitted to the government McGann Hospital in Shivamogga.
Unfortunately, despite treatment, he passed away last night. The family was in mourning, and Preetham had decided to skip the mathematics exam scheduled for Saturday.
When BEO (Block Education Officer) Ramesh Naik learned of the situation, he visited Preetham’s house in the morning, counseled him and his family, and urged him not to miss the exam under any circumstances.
Later, the BEO personally took Preetham in his office jeep from his home to the examination center in Ayanur.
Thanks to the timely intervention of the BEO and the school teachers, the boy who was about to miss the exam was able to successfully write it, according to local villagers.
