ಭದ್ರಾವತಿ (bhadravati), ಮೇ 02: ಲಾರಿ ಸಮೇತ ಕೋಟ್ಯಾಂತರ ರೂ. ಮೌಲ್ಯದ ಅಡಕೆ ಕಳವು ಮಾಡಿದ್ದ ಪ್ರಕರಣಕ್ಕೆ ಸಂಬಂಧಿಸಿದಂತೆ, ಭದ್ರಾವತಿ ತಾಲೂಕು ಹೊಳೆಹೊನ್ನೂರು ಠಾಣೆ ಪೊಲೀಸರು ಲಾರಿ ಹಾಗೂ ಅಡಕೆ ಪತ್ತೆ ಹಚ್ಚಿ ವಶಕ್ಕೆ ಪಡೆಯುವಲ್ಲಿ ಸಫಲರಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ಕೋಡಿಹೊಸೂರು ಗ್ರಾಮದ ಅರಣ್ಯ ಪ್ರದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ಲಾರಿ ಪತ್ತೆಯಾಗಿದೆ. ಸದರಿ ಲಾರಿಯಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ 1.9 ಕೋಟಿ ರೂ. ಮೌಲ್ಯದ ಅಡಕೆ ಚೀಲಗಳನ್ನು ವಶಕ್ಕೆ ಪಡೆದುಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಆರೋಪಿಗಳು ತಲೆಮರೆಸಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದು, ಅವರ ಬಂಧನಕ್ಕೆ ಪೊಲೀಸರು ಕ್ರಮಕೈಗೊಂಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ಭದ್ರಾವತಿ ಡಿವೈಎಸ್ಪಿ ಪ್ರಕಾಶ್ ರಾಥೋಡ್ ಮಾರ್ಗದರ್ಶನದಲ್ಲಿ ಇನ್ಸ್’ಪೆಕ್ಟರ್ ಶಿವಪ್ರಸಾದ್ ನೇತೃತ್ವದಲ್ಲಿ ಪಿಎಸ್ಐ ಶಾಂತಲಾ, ಹೆಚ್’ಸಿಗಳಾದ ಅಣ್ಣಪ್ಪ, ಪ್ರಕಾಶ್ ನಾಯ್ಕ್, ನಾಗರಾಜ್, ಕುಬೇರನಾಯ್ಕ್, ಪ್ರಶಾಂತ್, ಪ್ರವೀಣ್ ಹಂಪೋಳ್, ಪಿಸಿಗಳಾದ ವಿಶ್ವನಾಥ್, ತಾಂತ್ರಿಕ ಸಿಬ್ಬಂದಿಗಳಾದ ಗುರುರಾಜ್, ಇಂದ್ರೇಶ್ ಅವರು ಲಾರಿಯನ್ನು ಪತ್ತೆ ಹಚ್ಚುವಲ್ಲಿ ಸಫಲರಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ಪ್ರಕರಣದ ಹಿನ್ನೆಲೆ : 26-3-2026 ರಂದು ಶಿವಮೊಗ್ಗ ಮ್ಯಾಮ್ಕೋಸ್ ನಿಂದ 350 ಚೀಲ ಅಡಕೆಯನ್ನು ಬೆಂಗಳೂರಿಗೆ ಲಾರಿಯೊಂದರಲ್ಲಿ ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದ್ದರು. ಸದರಿ ಲಾರಿ ಚಾಲಕ ಮುಹೀಬುಲ್ಲಾ ಖಾನ್ ಯಾನೆ ಸದ್ದಾಂನು ಶಿವಮೊಗ್ಗದ ಇತರೆ ಇಬ್ಬರು ಆರೋಪಿಗಳಾದ ಮೊಹಮ್ಮದ್ ಗೌಸ್ ಹಾಗೂ ನೌಶಾದ್ ಅವರೊಂದಿಗೆ ಶಾಮೀಲಾಗಿ ನಿಗದಿತ ಸ್ಥಳಕ್ಕೆ ಅಡಕೆ ಕೊಂಡೊಯ್ಯದೆ, ಲಾರಿಯೊಂದಿಗೆ ನಾಪತ್ತೆಯಾಗಿದ್ದ. ಈ ಸಂಬಂಧ ಹೊಳೆಹೊನ್ನೂರು ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ಠಾಣೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಕರಣ ದಾಖಲಾಗಿತ್ತು.
Holehonnur Police Operation – Seizure of Areca Nuts Worth Crores Along with Lorry!
Bhadravati, May 02: In connection with a case of stolen areca nuts worth crores, the Holehonnur Police of Bhadravati Taluk have successfully traced and seized both the lorry and the areca nuts.
The lorry was found in the forest area of Kodihosuru village. Inside the lorry, police recovered areca nut sacks valued at ₹1.9 crore. The accused have absconded, and police are taking steps to arrest them.
Under the guidance of Bhadravati DySP Prakash Rathod, Inspector Shivaprasad led the operation with PSI Shanthala, Head Constables Annappa, Prakash Naik, Nagaraj, Kuber Naik, Prashanth, Praveen Hampol, Constable Vishwanath, and technical staff Gururaj and Indresh, who were instrumental in locating the lorry.
Background of the Case: On March 26, 2026, 350 sacks of areca nuts were dispatched from Shimoga MAMCOS to Bengaluru in a lorry. The lorry driver, Muheebulla Khan alias Saddam, colluded with two other accused from Shimoga — Mohammad Ghouse and Naushad. Instead of delivering the consignment to the designated location, they disappeared along with the lorry. A case was registered at Holehonnur Police Station regarding this incident.
