ಭದ್ರಾವತಿ (bhadravathi), ಮೇ 05 : ಯುವಕನೋರ್ವನ ಮೇಲೆ ಮಾರಕಾಸ್ತ್ರದಿಂದ ಹಲ್ಲೆ ನಡೆಸಿದ್ದ ಪ್ರಕರಣಕ್ಕೆ ಸಂಬಂಧಿಸಿದಂತೆ 6 ಜನರಿಗೆ ಕಠಿಣ ಜೈಲು ಶಿಕ್ಷೆ ವಿಧಿಸಿ, ಭದ್ರಾವತಿಯ 4 ನೇ ಹೆಚ್ಚುವರಿ ಜಿಲ್ಲಾ ಮತ್ತು ಸತ್ರ ನ್ಯಾಯಾಲಯ ಮೇ 4 ರಂದು ತೀರ್ಪು ನೀಡಿದೆ.
ಪ್ರಕರಣದ ಮೊದಲ ಆರೋಪಿಯಾಗಿದ್ದ ಅಜೇಯ ಯಾನೆ ಅಜ್ಜಿ (24) ಎಂಬಾತನಿಗೆ 6 ವರ್ಷ ಹಾಗೂ ಇತರೆ ಆರೋಪಿಗಳಾದ ತೇಜು ಯಾನೆ ತೇಜಸ್ವಿ ಯಾನೆ ಟೀಕು (22), ಮನು ಯಾನೆ ಗೊಣ್ಣೆ ಮಧು ಯಾನೆ ಮನೋಜ್ (22), ಆದರ್ಶ ಯಾನೆ ಅದು (25), ಅರುಣ (20) ಹಾಗೂ ಪಾನಿಪೂರಿ ರಂಗ ಯಾನೆ ರಂಗ ಯಾನೆ ಪಾನಿಪೂರಿ (25) ಎಂಬುವರಿಗೆ 3 ವರ್ಷ ಜೈಲು ಶಿಕ್ಷೆ ವಿಧಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ.
ಒಟ್ಟಾರೆ ಆರೋಪಿಗಳಿಗೆ 2.30 ಲಕ್ಷ ರೂ. ದಂಡ ವಿಧಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಹಲ್ಲೆಗೊಳಗಾದ ಮಂಜುನಾಥ್ ರವರಿಗೆ 1.50 ಲಕ್ಷ ರೂ. ಪರಿಹಾರ ನೀಡುವಂತೆ ನ್ಯಾಯಾಲಯ ಆದೇಶಿಸಿದೆ.
ನ್ಯಾಯಾಧೀಶರಾದ ಇಂದಿರಾ ಮೈಲಸ್ವಾಮಿ ಚೆಟ್ಟಿಯಾರ್ ಅವರು ಈ ತೀರ್ಪು ನೀಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಸರ್ಕಾರದ ಪರವಾಗಿ ಸರ್ಕಾರಿ ಅಭಿಯೋಜಕರಾದ ರತ್ನಮ್ಮ ಪಿ ಅವರು ವಾದ ಮಂಡಿಸಿದ್ದರು.
ಪ್ರಕರಣದ ಹಿನ್ನೆಲೆ : 10/5/2020 ರಂದು ಭದ್ರಾವತಿ ತಾಲೂಕಿನ ಜಿಂಕ್’ಲೈನ್ ವೀರಾಪುರ ರಸ್ತೆಯಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಬಾಬು ಎಂಬುವರ ಮನೆ ಹಿಂಭಾಗದ ತೆಂಗಿನ ತೋಟದಲ್ಲಿ ಕಿರಣ್, ಮಂಜುನಾಥ್, ಅರುಣ್ ಎಂಬುವರು ನಿಂತಿದ್ದರು. ಈ ವೇಳೆ ಅಪರಾಧಿಗಳು ಮಂಜುನಾಥ್ ಎಂಬುವರ ಮೇಲೆ ಹಲ್ಲೆ ನಡೆಸಿ, ಅವ್ಯಾಚ್ಯ ಶಬ್ದಗಳಿಂದ ನಿಂದಿಸಿದ್ದರು.
ಅಪರಾಧಿ ಅಜೇಯ ಎಂಬಾತನು ಮಚ್ಚಿನಿಂದ ಮಂಜುನಾಥ್ ರವರ ಮೇಲೆ ದಾಳಿ ನಡೆಸಿ ಗಂಭೀರವಾಗಿ ಗಾಯಗೊಳಿಸಿದ್ದ. ಈ ಸಂಬಂಧ ನ್ಯೂಟೌನ್ ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ಠಾಣೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಕರಣ ದಾಖಲಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಅಂದಿನ ಎಎಸ್ಐ ಕುಬೇರಪ್ಪ ಎಂಬುವರು ಪ್ರಕರಣದ ತನಿಖೆ ನಡೆಸಿ ನ್ಯಾಯಾಲಯಕ್ಕೆ ಆರೋಪಪಟ್ಟಿ ದಾಖಲಿಸಿದ್ದರು ಎಂದು ಮೇ 05 ರಂದು ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ಇಲಾಖೆ ಬಿಡುಗಡೆ ಮಾಡಿದ ಪ್ರಕಟಣೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮಾಹಿತಿ ನೀಡಿದೆ.
Bhadravati: Assault case – 6 youths sentenced to jail!
Bhadravati, May 05: The 4th Additional District and Sessions Court of Bhadravati has sentenced 6 people to rigorous imprisonment in connection with the case of assaulting a youth with a deadly weapon.
The first accused in the case, Ajeya alias Ajji (24), has been sentenced to 6 years in prison and the other accused, Teju alias Tejaswi alias Teeku (22), Manu alias Gonne Madhu alias Manoj (22), Adarsh alias Adu (25), Arun (20) and Panipuri Ranga alias Ranga alias Panipuri (25), have been sentenced to 3 years in prison.
A total of Rs. 2.30 lakh has been imposed on the accused. The court has ordered a compensation of Rs. 1.50 lakh to the victim Manjunath.
Judge Indira Mailaswamy Chettiar gave this verdict. Government prosecutor Ratnamma P argued on behalf of the government.
Background of the case: On 10/5/2020, Kiran, Manjunath, and Arun were standing in the coconut grove behind the house of Babu on Zinc’line Veerapur Road in Bhadravati taluk. At this time, the criminals attacked Manjunath and abused him with indecipherable words.
The criminal Ajeya attacked Manjunath with a machete and seriously injured him. A case was registered in this regard at the Newtown police station. The then ASI Kuberappa investigated the case and filed a chargesheet in the court, according to a statement issued by the police department on May 05.
