ತೀರ್ಥಹಳ್ಳಿ (thirthahalli), ಮೇ 15: ಒಂಟಿ ಮಹಿಳೆಯನ್ನು ಬೆದರಿಸಿ ಸುಲಿಗೆ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದ ಪ್ರಕರಣದ ಆರೋಪಿಗಳನ್ನು ಬಂಧಿಸುವಲ್ಲಿ, ತೀರ್ಥಹಳ್ಳಿ ತಾಲೂಕಿನ ಆಗುಂಬೆ ಠಾಣೆ ಪೊಲೀಸರು ಯಶಸ್ವಿಯಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ಭದ್ರಾವತಿ ತಾಲೂಕಿನ ತವಲುಗುಂದಿ ಬಳಿಯ ಜೇಡಿಕಟ್ಟೆ ಹೊಸೂರು ವಾಸಿ ಭರತ್ ವೈ ಯಾನೆ ಭಟ್ಟ (25), ಭದ್ರಾಕಾಲೋನಿ ವೀರಾಪುರ ನಿವಾಸಿ ಮಹಮ್ಮದ್ ಇಬ್ರಾಹಿಂ ಮೀರಾ ಯಾನೆ ಟಕ್ಕರ್ (24), ಶಿವಮೊಗ್ಗದ ಜಾವಳ್ಳಿ ಗ್ರಾಮದ ನಿವಾಸಿ ಅಶೋಕ (28) ಹಾಗೂ ತೀರ್ಥಹಳ್ಳಿ ತಾಲೂಕಿನ ಪಾರ್ತಿಪ್ (25) ಬಂಧಿತ ಆರೋಪಿಗಳೆಂದು ಗುರುತಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ.
10.80 ಲಕ್ಷ ರೂ. ಮೌಲ್ಯದ 70 ಗ್ರಾಂ ಬಂಗಾರ, 16,700 ರೂ. ಮೌಲ್ಯದ 56 ಗ್ರಾಂ ಬೆಳ್ಳಿಯ ಆಭರಣಗಳು, 2 ದ್ವಿ ಚಕ್ರ ವಾಹನ ಸೇರಿದಂತೆ ಒಟ್ಟಾರೆ 11.96 ಲಕ್ಷ ರೂ. ಮೌಲ್ಯದ ವಸ್ತುಗಳನ್ನು ಪೊಲೀಸರು ವಶಕ್ಕೆ ಪಡೆದುಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

ವಿನಯ್ ಕುಮಾರ್, ಉಲ್ಲಾಸ್ ನಾಯ್ಕ್, ಪ್ರಶಾಂತ್, ಅನಿಲ್, ನಾಗರ್ಜುನ್, ವಿಶ್ವನಾಥ್, ಸುನಿಲ್, ರವಿ ಹೆಚ್ ಸಿ, ಅರವಿಂದ್, ಚಾಲಕರಾದ ಅವಿನಾಶ, ತಾಂತ್ರಿಕ ಸಿಬ್ಬಂದಿಗಳಾದ ಗುರುರಾಜ್, ಇಂದ್ರೇಶ್ ಅವರು ಆರೋಪಿಗಳನ್ನು ಬಂಧಿಸುವಲ್ಲಿ ಸಫಲರಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ಪ್ರಕರಣದ ಹಿನ್ನೆಲೆ : ಆರೋಪಿಗಳು 21/4/2026 ರಂದು ಆಗುಂಬೆ ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ಠಾಣೆ ವ್ಯಾಪ್ತಿಯ ಲಕ್ಕುಂದ ಗ್ರಾಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ಒಂಟಿ ಮಹಿಳೆಗೆ ಬೆದರಿಕೆ ಹಾಕಿ ಚಿನ್ನಾಭರಣ – ನಗದು ಅಪಹರಿಸಿ ಪರಾರಿಯಾಗಿದ್ದರು.
Agumbe Police Operation: Four accused in single woman extortion case arrested!
Thirthahalli, May 15: Agumbe police station in Thirthahalli taluk have succeeded in arresting the accused in the case of extorting a single woman by threatening her.
Bharat Y alias Bhatta (25), a resident of Jedikkatte Hosur near Thavalugundi in Bhadravati taluk, Mahmud Ibrahim Meera alias Takkar (24), a resident of Veerapur in Bhadra Colony, Ashok (28), a resident of Javalli village in Shivamogga, and Parthip (25) of Thirthahalli taluk have been identified as the arrested accused.
The police have seized 70 grams of gold worth Rs. 10.80 lakh, 56 grams of silver ornaments worth Rs. 16,700, and 2 two-wheelers worth Rs. 11.96 lakh.
Under the guidance of Thirthahalli DySP Aravind Kalagujji, Inspectors Rajashekar L, Imran Baig, Sub-Inspectors Shivanagowda, Sunil, staff members Lingegowda, Surakshit, Kiran Kumar, Kumar Joseph Mathew, Suresh Naik, Jayakumar, Ramesh Akkasali,
Vinay Kumar, Ullas Naik, Prashanth, Anil, Nagarjun, Vishwanath, Sunil, Ravi HC, Aravind, driver Avinash, technical staff Gururaj, Indresh, were successful in arresting the accused.
Background of the case: On 21/4/2026, a single woman at home in Lakkunda village under Agumbe police station limits was threatened and robbed of gold and cash and fled.
