ಶಿವಮೊಗ್ಗ (shivamogga), ಜುಲೈ 16: ಆಶ್ರಯವಿಲ್ಲದೆ ಕಳೆದ ಹಲವು ದಿನಗಳಿಂದ, ಶಿವಮೊಗ್ಗ ನಗರದ ಕೆಎಸ್ಆರ್’ಟಿಸಿ ಬಸ್ ನಿಲ್ದಾಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಬೀಡುಬಿಟ್ಟಿದ್ದ ತಾಯಿ ಹಾಗೂ ಮಗಳಿಗೆ ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ಇಲಾಖೆಯ ‘ಅಕ್ಕ ಪಡೆ’ ಆಶ್ರಯ ಕಲ್ಪಿಸುವ ಮೂಲಕ ಮಾನವೀಯ ಕಾರ್ಯ ಮಾಡಿದೆ.
ಅಕ್ಕ ಪಡೆಯ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳಾದ ಎಎಸ್ಐ ಹೇಮಾವತಿ ಹಾಗೂ ಕಾನ್ಸ್’ಟೇಬಲ್ ಅಶ್ವಿನಿರವರು ಗಸ್ತು ಕಾರ್ಯ ನಡೆಸುವ ವೇಳೆ, ಕೆಎಸ್ಆರ್’ಟಿಸಿ ಬಸ್ ನಿಲ್ದಾಣದಲ್ಲಿ ತಾಯಿ ಹಾಗೂ ಮಗಳು ಬೀಡುಬಿಟ್ಟಿರುವುದನ್ನು ಗಮನಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ಸ್ಥಳಕ್ಕೆ ತೆರಳಿ ವಿಚಾರಣೆ ನಡೆಸಿದಾಗ, ‘ತನ್ನ ಕಡೆಯವರು ಯಾರು ಇಲ್ಲ. ಆಶ್ರಯವಿಲ್ಲದ ಕಾರಣದಿಂದ ಬಸ್ ನಿಲ್ದಾಣದಲ್ಲಿ, ಕಳೆದ ಒಂದು ತಿಂಗಳಿನಿಂದ ಬೀಡುಬಿಟ್ಟಿರುವುದಾಗಿ’ ಮಹಿಳೆಯು ಮಾಹಿತಿ ನೀಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ಮಹಿಳೆ ಹಾಗೂ ತಾಯಿಯ ಸುರಕ್ಷತೆ ಗಮನದಲ್ಲಿಟ್ಟುಕೊಂಡು, ‘ಅಕ್ಕ ಪಡೆ’ಯು ನಗರದ ಆಲ್ಕೊಳದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಸಖಿ ಕೇಂದ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ಬಿಟ್ಟು ಆಶ್ರಯ ಕಲ್ಪಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ‘ಅಕ್ಕ ಪಡೆ’ಯ ಮಾನವೀಯ ಕಾರ್ಯವು ನಾಗರಿಕರ ಮೆಚ್ಚುಗೆಗೆ ಪಾತ್ರವಾಗಿದೆ.

Shivamogga, July 16: The ‘Akka squad’ of the police department has done a humanitarian work by providing shelter to a mother and daughter who had been camping at the KSRTC bus stand in Shivamogga city for the past several days without shelter.
While on patrol, Akka squad officers ASI Hemavati and Constable Ashwini noticed that the mother and daughter were camping at the KSRTC bus stand.
When they went to the spot and questioned them, they found that ‘no one was there. She had been camping at the bus stand for the past one month due to lack of shelter.’
Keeping the safety of the woman and the mother in mind, the ‘Akka squad’ has provided shelter to the Sakhi Kendra in Alkola, a place in the city. The humanitarian work of the ‘Akka squad’ has been appreciated by the citizens.
