ಶಿವಮೊಗ್ಗ (shivamogga), ಜುಲೈ 15: ಶಿವಮೊಗ್ಗ ನಗರದ ದೇವರಾಜ ಅರಸು ಬಡಾವಣೆಯ ಓವರ್ ಹೆಡ್ ಟ್ಯಾಂಕ್ ಬಳಿ, ಕಳೆದ ಸರಿಸುಮಾರು ಒಂದು ವರ್ಷದಿಂದ ಪೈಪ್ ಲೈನ್ ಒಡೆದು ವ್ಯರ್ಥವಾಗಿ ಹರಿಯುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಭಾರೀ ಪ್ರಮಾಣದ ಕುಡಿಯುವ ನೀರಿಗೆ ಕೊನೆಗೂ ಕಡಿವಾಣ ಬಿದ್ದಿದೆ…!
15/07/2026 ರಂದು ಜಲ ಮಂಡಳಿ ಆಡಳಿತವು ಓವರ್ ಹೆಡ್ ಟ್ಯಾಂಕ್ ಬಳಿ ಎರಡು ಕಡೆ ಹಾಳಾಗಿದ್ದ ಪೈಪ್ ಲೈನ್ ನನ್ನು ರಿಪೇರಿ ಮಾಡಿದೆ. ಜೆಸಿಬಿ ಮೂಲಕ ಗುಂಡಿ ತೆಗೆದು, ಬೆಳಿಗ್ಗೆಯಿಂದ ಸಂಜೆಯವರೆಗೂ ಪೈಪ್ ಲೈನ್ ದುರಸ್ತಿಗೊಳಿಸಿ, ನೀರಿನ ವ್ಯರ್ಥಕ್ಕೆ ಕಡಿವಾಣ ಹಾಕಿದೆ.
ಜಲ ಮಂಡಳಿ ಕಾರ್ಯಪಾಲಕ ಅಭಿಯಂತರ ರಾಘವೇಂದ್ರರವರು ಖುದ್ದಾಗಿ ಸ್ಥಳಕ್ಕೆ ಭೇಟಿಯಿತ್ತು ದುರಸ್ತಿ ಕಾಮಗಾರಿ ವೀಕ್ಷಣೆ ನಡೆಸಿದರು. ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಪೈಪ್’ಲೈನ್ ದುರಸ್ತಿಗೊಳಿಸುವಲ್ಲಿ ನಿರ್ಲಕ್ಷ್ಯ ಧೋರಣೆ ತಳೆದ ಕಚೇರಿ ಸಿಬ್ಬಂದಿಗಳನ್ನು ತರಾಟೆಗೆ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಎಂಬ ಮಾಹಿತಿ ಲಭ್ಯವಾಗಿದೆ.
ವರದಿ ಫಲಶೃತಿ : ಕಳೆದ ಸರಿಸುಮಾರು 1 ವರ್ಷದಿಂದ ದೇವರಾಜ ಅರಸು ಓವರ್ ಹೆಡ್ ಟ್ಯಾಂಕ್ ಬಳಿ ಭಾರೀ ದೊಡ್ಡ ಪೈಪ್ ಒಡೆದು ದಿನವೀಡಿ ನೀರು ಹರಿದು ಹೋಗುತ್ತಿತ್ತು. ಈ ಹಿಂದೆ ಸ್ಥಳೀಯ ನಿವಾಸಿಗಳ ಕೋರಿಕೆ ಮೇರೆಗೆ, ಸ್ಥಳಕ್ಕೆ ಭೇಟಿ ನೀಡಿದ್ದ ರಾಜಕೀಯ ಪಕ್ಷಗಳ ನಾಯಕರು ಸೂಚನೆಯ ಹೊರತಾಗಿಯೂ ಪೈಪ್ ಲೈನ್ ದುರಸ್ತಿಯಾಗಿರಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಜಲ ಮಂಡಳಿ ಆಡಳಿತ ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣ ನಿರ್ಲಕ್ಷ್ಯವಹಿಸಿತ್ತು.
ಈ ಕುರಿತಂತೆ 13-07-2026 ರಂದು ‘ಉದಯ ಸಾಕ್ಷಿ’ ಡಿಜಿಟಲ್ ನ್ಯೂಸ್ ನಲ್ಲಿ ವರದಿ ಬಿತ್ತರಿಸಿತ್ತು. ಆಡಳಿತದ ದಿವ್ಯ ನಿರ್ಲಕ್ಷ್ಯದಿಂದ ವ್ಯರ್ಥವಾಗುತ್ತಿರುವ ಲಕ್ಷಾಂತರ ಲೀಟರ್ ಕುಡಿಯುವ ನೀರು ಹಾಗೂ ಸದರಿ ನೀರಿನಿಂದ ಸಾರ್ವಜನಿಕ ಉದ್ಯಾನವನ ಕೊಳಚೆ ಗುಂಡಿಯಂತಾಗಿರುವ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ವರದಿ ಪ್ರಕಟಿಸಿತ್ತು.
ವರದಿ ಪ್ರಕಟಗೊಂಡ ಬೆನ್ನಲ್ಲೆ ಎಚ್ಚೆತ್ತುಕೊಂಡ ಜಲ ಮಂಡಳಿ ಆಡಳಿತವು ಸಮರೋಪಾದಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಪೈಪ್ ಲೈನ್ ದುರಸ್ತಿಗೊಳಿಸಿದೆ. ಈ ಮೂಲಕ ಹೊರ ಹರಿಯುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಅಪಾರ ಪ್ರಮಾಣದ ಕುಡಿಯುವ ನೀರಿನ ವ್ಯರ್ಥಕ್ಕೆ ಕಡಿವಾಣ ಹಾಕಿದೆ. ‘ಉದಯ ಸಾಕ್ಷಿ’ ಡಿಜಿಟಲ್ ನ್ಯೂಸ್ ನ ಜನಪರ ವರದಿಗೆ ಸ್ಥಳೀಯ ನಾಗರಿಕರು ಮೆಚ್ಚುಗೆ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಪಡಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ಸಾರ್ವಜನಿಕ ಉದ್ಯಾನವನ ಅವ್ಯವಸ್ಥೆ ಸರಿಪಡಿಸಲು ಆಗ್ರಹ
*** ದೇವರಾಜ ಅರಸು ಬಡಾವಣೆಯ ಓವರ್ ಹೆಡ್ ಟ್ಯಾಂಕ್ ಇರುವ ಸ್ಥಳದಲ್ಲಿ ವಿಶಾಲವಾದ ಸಾರ್ವಜನಿಕ ಉದ್ಯಾನವನವಿದೆ. ಕಳೆದ ಕೆಲ ವರ್ಷಗಳ ಹಿಂದೆ ಲಕ್ಷಾಂತರ ರೂ. ವೆಚ್ಚದಲ್ಲಿ ಪಾರ್ಕ್ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ದಿಗೊಳಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ. ವಾಕಿಂಗ್ ಪಾಥ್, ಮಕ್ಕಳ ಆಟಿಕೆ ಸಾಮಗ್ರಿ ಅಳವಡಿಸಲಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಆದರೆ ಓವರ್ ಹೆಡ್ ಟ್ಯಾಂಕ್ ಪೈಪ್ ದುರಸ್ತಿಯಾಗಿ ವ್ಯರ್ಥವಾಗಿ ಹರಿದು ನೀರು ಇಡೀ ಪಾರ್ಕ್ ಆವರಣದಲ್ಲಿ ತುಂಬಿತ್ತು. ಇದರಿಂದ ಇಡೀ ಪಾರ್ಕ್ ಕೊಳಚೆ ಗುಂಡಿಯಂತಾಗಿ ಮಾರ್ಪಟ್ಟಿದೆ. ಈ ಕಾರಣದಿಂದ ಕಳೆದೊಂದು ವಾರ್ಷದಿಂದ ಸದರಿ ಪಾರ್ಕ್ ಗೆ ನಾಗರಿಕರು ಆಗಮಿಸುತ್ತಿಲ್ಲ. ತಕ್ಷಣವೇ ಜಲ ಮಂಡಳಿ ಆಡಳಿತವು ಸದರಿ ಪಾರ್ಕ್ ನ ಅವ್ಯವಸ್ಥೆ ಸರಿಪಡಿಸಿ ಕೊಡಬೇಕು. ಗಿಡಗಂಟೆ ತೆರವುಗೊಳಿಸಿ, ಮೊದಲಿನಂತೆ ಪಾರ್ಕ್ ಸ್ವಚ್ಛವಾಗಿಡುವ ಕಾರ್ಯ ಮಾಡಬೇಕು ಎಂದು ಸ್ಥಳೀಯ ನಾಗರಿಕರು ಆಗ್ರಹಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
Shivamogga – ‘Udaya Sakshi’ Report Results – Lakhs of litres of drinking water wasted have been curbed! | Report: B. Renukesh | Shivamogga, July 14: The huge amount of drinking water that had been flowing in waste due to a burst pipeline near the overhead tank in Devaraja Arasu Layout of Shivamogga city for the past one year has finally been curbed…!
On 15/07/2026, the water board administration repaired the pipeline that was damaged on both sides near the overhead tank. The JCB dug a hole and repaired the pipeline from morning to evening, putting an end to the wastage of water.
Water board executive engineer Raghavendra personally visited the spot and inspected the repair work. It is also reported that the office staff who were negligent in repairing the pipeline have been reprimanded.
Report Result: For the past 1 year, a huge pipe had burst near the Devaraja Ursu overhead tank and water was flowing daily. Earlier, at the request of local residents, the leaders of political parties who had visited the place had not repaired the pipeline despite instructions. The water board administration had been completely negligent.
On 13-07-2026, ‘Udaya Sakshi’ had published a report in this regard in Digital News. It had published a report about the administration’s gross negligence in wasting lakhs of liters of drinking water and the public park being turned into a cesspool with the said water.
After the report was published, the water board administration, which woke up, has repaired the pipeline in a hurry. This has put an end to the wastage of a huge amount of drinking water that was flowing out. Local citizens have expressed their appreciation for the popular report of ‘Udaya Sakshi’ Digital News.
Demand to fix the public park mess | *** There is a spacious public park at the site of the overhead tank in Devaraja Ursu block. In the past few years, lakhs of rupees were spent on the project. The park has been developed at a cost. A walking path and children’s play equipment were installed. But the overhead tank pipe was repaired and water was flowing in vain and filling the entire park premises. Due to this, the entire park has become like a cesspool. Due to this, citizens have not been coming to the said park for the past one year. The water board administration should immediately fix the mess in the said park. Local citizens have demanded that the work of clearing the bushes and keeping the park clean as before should be done.
