ಶಿವಮೊಗ್ಗ (shivamogga), ಆಗಸ್ಟ್ 04: ಗ್ರಾಮಾಂತರ ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ಠಾಣೆ ವ್ಯಾಪ್ತಿಯ ಹೊಳಲೂರು ಗ್ರಾಮದ ಗೋಡೌನ್ ನಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆದಿದ್ದ ಅಡಕೆ ಕಳವು ಪ್ರಕರಣಕ್ಕೆ ಸಂಬಂಧಿಸಿದಂತೆ, ಶಿವಮೊಗ್ಗ ನಗರದ ನಾಲ್ವರು ಆರೋಪಿಗಳನ್ನು ಪೊಲೀಸರು ಬಂಧಿಸುವಲ್ಲಿ ಸಫಲರಾಗಿದ್ಧಾರೆ.
ಶಿವಮೊಗ್ಗದ ಕೆ ಆರ್ ಪುರಂ ರಸ್ತೆ ರಸ್ತೆ ನಿವಾಸಿ ರಾಹುಲ್ (25), ಸೀಗೆಹಟ್ಟಿ ನಿವಾಸಿ ಜಗನ್ನಾಥ (23), ವೆಂಕಟೇಶ್ವರ ದೇವಾಲಯ ಸಮೀಪದ ನಿವಾಸಿ ಚಂದನ್ ಕೆ (22), ಕ್ಲಾರ್ಕ್ ಪೇಟೆ ನಿವಾಸಿ ನವೀನ್ ಯಾನೆ ಟಿಪ್ಪಿ (20) ಹಾಗೂ ಮಂಜುನಾಥ ಬಡಾವಣೆ ನಿವಾಸಿ ಸುದೀಪ ಡಿ ಬಂಧಿತ ಆರೋಪಿಗಳೆಂದು ಗುರುತಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ.
ಆರೋಪಿಗಳಿಂದ 2.50 ಲಕ್ಷ ರೂ. ಮೌಲ್ಯದ 4 ಕ್ವಿಂಟಾಲ್ ಒಣ ಅಡಕೆ, ಕೃತ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ಬಳಸಿದ್ದ ಮಾರುತಿ ಸುಜುಕಿ ಇಕೋ ಕಾರು, ಬೈಕ್ ನ್ನು ಪೊಲೀಸರು ವಶಕ್ಕೆ ಪಡೆದುಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ಗ್ರಾಮಾಂತರ ಠಾಣೆ ಇನ್ಸ್’ಪೆಕ್ಟರ್ ರಾಘವೇಂದ್ರ ಕಾಂಡಿಕೆ, ಸಬ್ ಇನ್ಸ್’ಪೆಕ್ಟರ್ ನವೀನ್ ಮಠಪತಿ, ಸಿಬ್ಬಂದಿಗಳಾದ ಲಂಕೇಶ್, ಶ್ರೀಕಾಂತ್, ಕಾಶೀನಾಥ್, ಸುನೀಲ್ ಕುಮಾರ್, ಕವನ್ ದಾಕ್ಷಾಯಿಣಿ ಅವರು ಆರೋಪಿಗಳನ್ನು ಬಂಧಿಸುವಲ್ಲಿ ಸಫಲರಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ಪ್ರಕರಣದ ಹಿನ್ನೆಲೆ : 23-08-2026 ರಂದು ಮುಂಜಾನೆ ಹೊಳಲೂರು ಗ್ರಾಮದ ಗೋಡಾನ್ ನಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ 4 ಕ್ವಿಂಟಾಲ್ 80 ಕೆಜಿ ಒಣ ಅಡಕೆ ಕಳವು ಮಾಡಲಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಈ ಕುರಿತಂತೆ ಗ್ರಾಮಾಂತರ ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ಠಾಣೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಕರಣ ದಾಖಲಾಗಿತ್ತು.
Shimoga: Five youths arrested in Holalur areca nut theft case!
Shimoga, August 04: In connection with the areca nut theft that took place at a godown in Holalur village under the jurisdiction of the Rural Police Station police have successfully arrested five accused from Shimoga city.
The arrested are: Rahul (25) of K.R. Puram Road, Jagannath (23) of Seegihatti, Chandan K (22) of Venkateshwara Temple area, Naveen alias Tippi (20) of Clark Pet, and Sudeep D of Manjunath Layout.
From the accused, police seized 4 quintals of dried areca nuts worth ₹2.5 lakh, along with a Maruti Suzuki Eeco car and a bike used in the crime.
Inspector Raghavendra Kandike, Sub-Inspector Naveen Mathapati, and staff members Lankesh, Srikanth, Kashinath, Sunil Kumar, and Kavan Dakshayini were instrumental in arresting the accused.
Case background: On the morning of August 23, 2026, 4 quintals and 80 kg of dried areca nuts were stolen from the Holalur village godown. A case was registered at the Rural Police Station regarding the incident.
