ಶಿವಮೊಗ್ಗ (shivamogga), ಜೂ. 28: ಶಿವಮೊಗ್ಗ ನಗರದ ಹೊರವಲಯ ಬೊಮ್ಮನಕಟ್ಟೆ ಮುಖ್ಯ ರಸ್ತೆಯ ಕಿರು ಸೇತುವೆ ಬಳಿ ಹಾದು ಹೋಗಿರುವ, ಓವರ್ ಹೆಡ್ ಟ್ಯಾಂಕ್ ಗಳಿಗೆ ನೀರು ಸರಬರಾಜಾಗುವ ಕೊಳವೆ ಮಾರ್ಗ ಒಡೆದು, ಅಪಾರ ಪ್ರಮಾಣದ ಕುಡಿಯುವ ನೀರು ವ್ಯರ್ಥವಾಗಿ ಹರಿದು ಹೋದ ಘಟನೆ ಜೂ. 28 ರಂದು ನಡೆದಿದೆ.
ಪ್ರಸ್ತುತ ಒಡೆದು ಹೋದ ಕೊಳವೆ ಮಾರ್ಗದ ಮೂಲಕ, ಸೋಮಿನಕೊಪ್ಪ ಹಾಗೂ ಬೊಮ್ಮನಕಟ್ಟೆ ಬಡಾವಣೆಗಳ ಓವರ್ ಹೆಡ್ ಟ್ಯಾಂಕ್ ಗಳಿಗೆ ನೀರು ಪೂರೈಕೆ ಮಾಡಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ.
‘ಓವರ್ ಹೆಡ್ ಟ್ಯಾಂಕ್ ಗಳಿಗೆ ನೀರು ಪೂರೈಕೆಯಾಗುವ, ಮುಖ್ಯ ಕೊಳವೆ ಮಾರ್ಗ ಒಡೆದಿರುವ ಕಾರಣದಿಂದ, ಜೂ. 29 ಹಾಗೂ 30 ರಂದು ಸೋಮಿನಕೊಪ್ಪ ಹಾಗೂ ಬೊಮ್ಮನಕಟ್ಟೆ ಬಡಾವಣೆಗಳ ಸುತ್ತಮುತ್ತಲಿನ ಪ್ರದೇಶಗಳಿಗೆ ಕುಡಿಯುವ ನೀರಿನ ಪೂರೈಕೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ವ್ಯತ್ಯಯವಾಗಲಿದೆ.
ಕೊಳವೆ ಮಾರ್ಗ ದುರಸ್ತಿಗೆ ಕ್ರಮಕೈಗೊಳ್ಳಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಸಾರ್ವಜನಿಕರು ಸಹಕರಿಸುವಂತೆ’ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ನೀರು ಸರಬರಾಜು ಹಾಗೂ ಒಳ ಚರಂಡಿ ಮಂಡಳಿಯ ಸಹಾಯಕ ಕಾರ್ಯಪಾಲಕ ಅಭಿಯಂತರರು ಪ್ರಕಟಣೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮಾಹಿತಿ ನೀಡಿದೆ.
Shivamogga, June 28: An incident occurred on June 28 when a pipeline supplying water to overhead tanks, which passes near the short bridge on the Bommanakkatte main road on the outskirts of Shivamogga city, burst, spilling a huge amount of drinking water.
‘Due to the rupture of the main pipeline supplying water to overhead tanks, there will be disruption in the supply of drinking water to the surrounding areas of Sominakoppa and Bommanakatte on June 29 and 30.
Steps have been taken to repair the pipeline. The Karnataka Water Supply and Sewerage Board has issued a statement asking the public to cooperate.
