ಭದ್ರಾವತಿ (bhadravathi), ಮೇ 08: ಪತಿಗೆ ಮತ್ತು ಬರುವ ಔಷಧಿ ಹಾಕಿ ಉಸಿರುಗಟ್ಟಿಸಿ ಕೊಲೆ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದ ಪತ್ನಿ ಹಾಗೂ ಆಕೆಯ ಪ್ರಿಯಕರನಿಗೆ ಗಲ್ಲು ಶಿಕ್ಷೆ ವಿಧಿಸಿ, ಭದ್ರಾವತಿಯ 4 ನೇ ಹೆಚ್ಚುವರಿ ಜಿಲ್ಲಾ ಮತ್ತು ಸತ್ರ ನ್ಯಾಯಾಲಯ ಆದೇಶ ಹೊರಡಿಸಿದೆ.
ಭದ್ರಾವತಿ ತಾಲೂಕಿನ ಸುರಗಿನತೋಪಿನ ವಾಸಿಯಾದ ಪ್ಲೋರಾ ನ್ಯಾನ್ಸಿ ಹಾಗೂ ರಾಜಶೇಖರಯ್ಯ ಗಲ್ಲು ಶಿಕ್ಷೆಗೆ ಗುರಿಯಾದವರೆಂದು ಗುರುತಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಶಿಕ್ಷೆಯ ಜೊತೆಗೆ 14 ಲಕ್ಷ ರೂ. ದಂಡವನ್ನು ನ್ಯಾಯಾಲಯ ವಿಧಿಸಿದೆ.
ನ್ಯಾಯಾಧೀಶರಾದ ಇಂದಿರಾ ಮೈಲಸ್ವಾಮಿ ಚೆಟ್ಟಿಯಾರ್ ಅವರು ಈ ತೀರ್ಪು ನೀಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಸರ್ಕಾರದ ಪರವಾಗಿ ಸರ್ಕಾರಿ ಅಭಿಯೋಜಕರಾದ ರತ್ನಮ್ಮ ಪಿ ಅವರು ವಾದ ಮಂಡಿಸಿದ್ದರು.
ಪ್ರಕರಣದ ಹಿನ್ನೆಲೆ : ಅಪರಾಧಿ ಪ್ಲೋರಾ ನ್ಯಾನ್ಸಿ ಪತಿ ಪ್ರಕಾಶ್ ಬಾಬು ಎಂಬುವರಾಗಿದ್ದರು. ನ್ಯಾನ್ಸಿಯು ರಾಜಶೇಖರಯ್ಯ ಎಂಬಾತನ ಜೊತೆ ಅನೈತಿಕ ಸಂಬಂಧವಿಟ್ಟುಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದಳು. ತಮ್ಮ ಸಂಬಂಧಕ್ಕೆ ಅಡ್ಡಿಯಾಗುತ್ತಿರುವ ಪ್ರಕಾಶ್ ಬಾಬು ಕೊಲೆಗೆ ಅಪರಾಧಿಗಳಿಬ್ಬರು ನಿರ್ಧರಿಸಿದ್ದರು.
ಅದರಂತೆ 15-01-2020 ರಂದು ಪ್ರಕಾಶ್ ಬಾಬುವಿಗೆ ಮತ್ತು ಬರುವ ಔಷಧಿ ಹಾಕಿ ನಂತರ ಉಸಿರುಗಟ್ಟಿಸಿ ಕೊಲೆ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದರು. ಈ ಕುರಿತಂತೆ ಪೇಪರ್ ಟೌನ್ ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ಠಾಣೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಕರಣ ದಾಖಲಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಅಂದಿನ ಇನ್ಸ್’ಪೆಕ್ಟರ್ ಆಗಿದ್ದ ಈ ಓ ಮಂಜುನಾಥ್ ಅವರು ಪ್ರಕರಣದ ತನಿಖೆ ನಡೆಸಿ, ನ್ಯಾಯಾಲಯಕ್ಕೆ ಆರೋಪಪಟ್ಟಿ ದಾಖಲಿಸಿದ್ದರು.
Bhadravati court sentences two to death!
Bhadravati, May 08: The 4th Additional District and Sessions Court of Bhadravati has issued an order to sentence a wife and her lover to death for murdering her husband and her lover by suffocating them with a sedative.
Flora Nancy and Rajashekariah, residents of Suragintop in Bhadravati taluk, have been identified as the ones sentenced to death. Along with the sentence, the court has imposed a fine of Rs. 14 lakh.
Judge Indira Mailaswamy Chettiar gave this verdict. Government prosecutor Ratnamma P argued on behalf of the government.
Background of the case: The husband of the convict Flora Nancy was Prakash Babu. Nancy was in an immoral relationship with Rajashekariah. The two convicts had decided to kill Prakash Babu, who was interfering in their relationship.
Accordingly, on 15-01-2020, Prakash Babu was murdered by suffocating him after being given the prescribed medicine. A case was registered in this regard at the Paper Town Police Station. The then Inspector, E. O. Manjunath, investigated the case and filed a chargesheet in the court.
