ಶಿವಮೊಗ್ಗ, ಮೇ 30: ಶಿವಮೊಗ್ಗ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅಕ್ರಮ ಮರಳು ಗಣಿಗಾರಿಕೆ ಭಾರೀ ಸದ್ದು ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದೆ. ಈ ನಡುವೆ ಮೇ 30 ರಂದು ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯ ವಿವಿಧೆಡೆ, ಏಕಕಾಲಕ್ಕೆ ಲೋಕಾಯುಕ್ತ ತಂಡಗಳು ಅಕ್ರಮ ಮರಳು ಗಣಿಗಾರಿಕೆ ಸ್ಥಳಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ದಿಡೀರ್ ದಾಳಿ ನಡೆಸಿ ತಪಾಸಣೆ ನಡೆಸಿದ ಘಟನೆ ಬೆಳಕಿಗೆ ಬಂದಿದೆ!
ಶಿವಮೊಗ್ಗ, ಭದ್ರಾವತಿ, ತೀರ್ಥಹಳ್ಳಿ, ಸಾಗರ, ಹೊಸನಗರ ತಾಲೂಕುಗಳ 25 ಕ್ಕೂ ಅಧಿಕ ಸ್ಥಳಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ಲೋಕಾಯುಕ್ತ ತಂಡಗಳು ದಾಳಿ ನಡೆಸಿವೆ ಎಂದು ತಿಳಿದುಬಂದಿದೆ.
ಅಕ್ರಮ ಗಣಿಗಾರಿಕೆ ನಡೆಯುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಸ್ಥಳಕ್ಕೆ ಸಂಬಂಧಿಸಿದ ತಾಲೂಕು ಆಡಳಿತ, ಕಂದಾಯ, ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ಇಲಾಖೆ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿ – ಸಿಬ್ಬಂದಿಗಳನ್ನು ಲೋಕಾಯುಕ್ತ ತಂಡ ಕರೆಯಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಮಾಹಿತಿ ಕಲೆ ಹಾಕಿದೆ ಎನ್ನಲಾಗಿದೆ.
ಕಚೇರಿ ಮೇಲೂ ರೈಡ್ : ಶಿವಮೊಗ್ಗ ನಗರದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಗಣಿ ಮತ್ತು ಭೂ ವಿಜ್ಞಾನ ಇಲಾಖೆ ಕಚೇರಿಯ ಮೇಲೂ ಲೋಕಾಯುಕ್ತ ತಂಡ ದಿಡೀರ್ ಭೇಟಿಯಿತ್ತು, ಮರಳು ಗಣಿಗಾರಿಕೆಗೆ ಸಂಬಂಧಿಸಿದ ದಾಖಲೆಗಳನ್ನು ವಶಕ್ಕೆ ಪಡೆದುಕೊಂಡಿದೆ. ಅಧಿಕಾರಿ – ಸಿಬ್ಬಂದಿಗಳನ್ನು ವಿಚಾರಣೆಗೊಳಪಡಿಸಿದೆ ಎಂದು ತಿಳಿದುಬಂದಿದೆ.

ಅಕ್ರಮ : ಶಿವಮೊಗ್ಗ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯ ವಿವಿಧೆಡೆ ಭಾರೀ ದೊಡ್ಡ ಪ್ರಮಾಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಅಕ್ರಮ ಮರಳು ಗಣಿಗಾರಿಕೆ ಹಾಗೂ ಸಾಗಾಣೆ ನಡೆಯುತ್ತಿರುವ ಆರೋಪಗಳು ಕೇಳಿಬಂದಿದ್ದವು. ಅಕ್ರಮಕ್ಕೆ ತಡೆ ಹಾಕುವಲ್ಲಿ ಆಡಳಿತ ವಿಫಲವಾಗಿದೆ. ಭಾರೀ ಪ್ರಮಾಣದ ಹಣದ ವ್ಯವಹಾರ ನಡೆಯುತ್ತಿರುವ ದೂರುಗಳಿದ್ದವು.

Simultaneous Lokayukta Raids on Illegal Sand Depots in Shivamogga District
Shivamogga, May 30: Illegal sand mining has been making a lot of noise in Shivamogga district. On May 30, Lokayukta teams carried out surprise raids simultaneously across various parts of the district, inspecting sites of illegal sand mining.
Raids were conducted at more than 25 locations in Shivamogga, Bhadravati, Tirthahalli, Sagar, and Hosanagar taluks.
At the sites where illegal mining was taking place, the Lokayukta team summoned officials and staff from the respective taluk administration, revenue department, and police department to gather information.
Office Raids Too : The Lokayukta team also made a sudden visit to the Department of Mines and Geology office in Shivamogga city, seizing documents related to sand mining. Officials and staff were reportedly questioned.
Details Awaited : Questions remain about where exactly raids were conducted, what illegal activities were uncovered, who all are involved, and what materials and records have been seized. These details are yet to emerge.
