ಶಿವಮೊಗ್ಗ (shivamogga), ಜುಲೈ 06 : ಮಲೆನಾಡಲ್ಲಿ ಮುಂಗಾರು ಮಳೆಯ ತೀವ್ರತೆ ಮತ್ತಷ್ಟು ಹೆಚ್ಚಾಗಿದೆ. ಜುಲೈ 06 ರಂದು ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯ ಪಶ್ಚಿಮಘಟ್ಟ ವ್ಯಾಪ್ತಿಯ ಪ್ರದೇಶ ಸೇರಿದಂತೆ ಹಲವೆಡೆ ಧಾರಾಕಾರ ಮಳೆಯಾಗುತ್ತಿದೆ.
ಇದರಿಂದ ಪ್ರಮುಖ ಜಲಾಶಯಗಳ ಒಳಹರಿವಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಏರಿಕೆ ಕಂಡುಬಂದಿದೆ. ಜುಲೈ 06 ರ ಸಂಜೆಯ ಮಾಹಿತಿ ಅನುಸಾರ, ತುಂಗಾ ಜಲಾಶಯದ ಒಳಹರಿವು 26,437 ಕ್ಯೂಸೆಕ್ ಗೆ ಏರಿಕೆಯಾಗಿದೆ.
ಈಗಾಗಲೇ ಜಲಾಶಯ ಗರಿಷ್ಠ ಮಟ್ಟ ತಲುಪಿರುವುದರಿಂದ, 22 ಕ್ರಸ್ಟ್ ಗೇಟ್ ಗಳ ಮೂಲಕ ಒಳಹರಿವಿನಷ್ಟೆ ನೀರನ್ನು ಹೊರ ಬಿಡಲಾಗುತ್ತಿದೆ. ಡ್ಯಾಂನ ಹೊರಹರಿವಿನಲ್ಲಿ ನಿರಂತರ ಏರಿಕೆ ಕಂಡುಬರುತ್ತಿರುವ ಹಿನ್ನೆಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ, ಶಿವಮೊಗ್ಗ ನಗರದ ಮೂಲಕ ಹಾದು ಹೋಗಿರುವ ತುಂಗಾ ನದಿಯ ನೀರಿನ ಹರಿವಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಮತ್ತಷ್ಟು ಹೆಚ್ಚಳ ಕಂಡುಬಂದಿದೆ.
ಉತ್ತಮ ಮಳೆ : ಶಿವಮೊಗ್ಗ ನಗರದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಉತ್ತಮ ಮಳೆಯಾಗುತ್ತಿದೆ. ಸಂಜೆಯ ನಂತರ ಎಡಬಿಡದೆ ಧಾರಾಕಾರ ಮಳೆ ಮುಂದುವರಿದಿದೆ. ಮತ್ತೊಂದೆಡೆ, ಮುಂದಿನ ಮೂರ್ನಾಲ್ಕು ದಿನಗಳ ಕಾಲ ಮಲೆನಾಡು ಭಾಗದಲ್ಲಿ ಭಾರೀ ಮಳೆ ಮುಂದುವರಿಯಲಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಮುನ್ಸೂಚನೆ ನೀಡಿದೆ.
Monsoon rains intensify in Malnad: Tunga Dam inflow increases
Shivamogga, July 06: The intensity of monsoon rains has further increased in Malnad. On July 06, heavy rains are being received in many places including the Western Ghats area of the district.
This has led to an increase in the inflow of major reservoirs. According to the information on the evening of July 06, the inflow of Tunga reservoir has increased to 26,437 cusecs.
Since the reservoir has already reached its maximum level, water is being released through 22 crust gates as per the inflow. In the wake of the continuous increase in the outflow of the dam, there has been a further increase in the water flow of Tunga river passing through Shivamogga city.
Good rains: Good rains are also being received in Shivamogga city. Heavy rains have continued without stopping since the evening. On the other hand, it has predicted that heavy rains will continue in the Malnad region for the next three to four days.
