ತೀರ್ಥಹಳ್ಳಿ (thirthahalli), ಆಗಸ್ಟ್ 02: ಧಾರಾಕಾರ ಮಳೆಯಿಂದ ತೀರ್ಥಹಳ್ಳಿ ಪಟ್ಟಣ ಪಂಚಾಯ್ತಿ ವ್ಯಾಪ್ತಿಯ 15 ನೇ ವಾರ್ಡ್ ಗಾಂಧಿನಗರದಲ್ಲಿ ತಗಡಿನ ಶೆಡ್ ವೊಂದರ ಮೇಲೆ ಗುಡ್ಡ ಕುಸಿದು ಬಿದ್ದ ಪರಿಣಾಮದಿಂದ, ಒಂದೇ ಕುಟುಂಬದ ಮೂವರು ಮೃತಪಟ್ಟಿರುವ ಘಟನೆ ಆಗಸ್ಟ್ 2 ರ ಮುಂಜಾನೆ 3 ಗಂಟೆ ಸರಿಸುಮಾರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆದಿದೆ.
ಕೊಪ್ಪಳ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯ ಗಂಗಾವತಿ ತಾಲೂಕಿನ ಮಲ್ಲಿಕಾರ್ಜುನ (35), ನಾಗವೇಣಿ (28) ಹಾಗೂ ಸಂತೋಷ್ (3) ಮೃತಪಟ್ಟವರು ಎಂದು ಗುರುತಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ.
ಸದರಿ ಶೆಡ್ ಗೆ ಹೊಂದಿಕೊಂಡಂತಿದ್ದ ಮತ್ತೊಂದು ಶೆಡ್ ನಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ಕೆಲ ಕಾರ್ಮಿಕರಿಗೆ ಗಾಯವಾಗಿದ್ದು, ಅವರನ್ನು ಆಸ್ಪತ್ರೆಗೆ ದಾಖಲಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂದು ತಿಳಿದುಬಂದಿದೆ.
ಸೀಬಿನಕೆರೆಯಿಂದ ಗಾಂಧಿನಗರಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗುವ ಮಾರ್ಗದ ತಮ್ಮಡಿಕೊಪ್ಪ ಕೆರೆ ಪಕ್ಕದ ರಮೇಶ್ ಗೌಡ ಎಂಬುವರ ಮನೆ ಪಕ್ಕದ ಗುಡ್ಡದ ಮಣ್ಣು ಕುಸಿದು ಅನಾಹುತ ಸಂಭವಿಸಿದೆ ಎಂಬ ಮಾಹಿತಿ ಲಭ್ಯವಾಗಿದೆ.
ಗುಡ್ಡದ ಸಮೀಪವೇ ಕೂಲಿಕಾರ್ಮಿಕರು ಶೆಡ್ ನಿರ್ಮಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ವಾಸಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು. ಸದರಿ ಶೆಡ್ ಮೇಲೆ ಗುಡ್ಡ ಕುಸಿದಿದೆ ಎಂದು ತಿಳಿದುಬಂದಿದೆ. ಮುಂಜಾನೆ 4 ಗಂಟೆಯಿಂದಲೇ ಘಟನಾ ಸ್ಥಳಕ್ಕೆ ಅಗ್ನಿಶಾಮಕ ದಳ, ಪೊಲೀಸರು, ತಾಲೂಕು ಆಡಳಿತ, ಪಟ್ಟಣ ಪಂಚಾಯ್ತಿ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳು, ಸಿಬ್ಬಂದಿಗಳು ದೌಡಾಯಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಮಣ್ಣು ತೆರವು ಕಾರ್ಯಾಚರಣೆ ನಡೆಯುತ್ತಿದೆ.
ಮೃತ ಕಾರ್ಮಿಕರು ಉತ್ತರ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ಭಾಗದವರಾಗಿದ್ದು, ಕೂಲಿ ಕೆಲಸಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಆಗಮಿಸಿದ್ದರು ಎನ್ನಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಘಟನೆಯ ಕುರಿತಂತೆ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನ ವಿವರಗಳ ಇನ್ನಷ್ಟೆ ಲಭ್ಯವಾಗಬೇಕಾಗಿದೆ.
thirthahalli– Landslide due to heavy rain: Three dead!
thirthahalli, August 2: Incessant rainfall triggered a landslide in Ward No. 15, Gandhinagar, under the thirthahalli Town Panchayat limits. The mud collapsed onto a tin shed, killing three members of the same family in the early hours of August 2, around 3 AM.
The deceased have been identified as Mallikarjun (35), Nagaveni (28), and Santosh (3), residents of Gangavati taluk in Koppal district.
Several laborers staying in an adjacent shed sustained injuries and have been admitted to the hospital. The incident occurred near Ramesh Gowda’s house, beside Thammadikoppa lake on the Seebinakere–Gandhinagar road, when soil from the nearby hill collapsed. Daily-wage laborers had built temporary sheds close to the hill and were residing there. The landslide struck one of these sheds.
By 4 AM, fire brigade personnel, police, taluk administration, and town panchayat officials rushed to the spot. Mud clearance operations are underway. The deceased workers were migrants from North Karnataka who had come to Tirthahalli for daily-wage work. Further details are awaited.
