ಶಿವಮೊಗ್ಗ, ಆಗಸ್ಟ್ 06: ಮಹಾನಗರ ಪಾಲಿಕೆ 1 ನೇ ವಾರ್ಡ್ ನ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ಗೃಹ ಮಂಡಳಿ ಬಡಾವಣೆ ಹಾಗೂ ಟೀಚರ್ಸ್ ಲೇಔಟ್ ನಲ್ಲಿನ ಯುಜಿಡಿ ಸಮಸ್ಯೆಗೆ ಸಂಬಂಧಿಸಿದಂತೆ ಆಗಸ್ಟ್ 06 ರಂದು ಪಾಲಿಕೆ ಯುಜಿಡಿ ವಿಭಾಗದ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳು ಭೇಟಿಯಿತ್ತು ಪರಿಶೀಲಿಸಿದರು.
ಯುಜಿಡಿ ಸಮಸ್ಯೆ ಕುರಿತಂತೆ ಪಾಲಿಕೆ ಆಯುಕ್ತ ಮಾಯಣ್ಣಗೌಡರವರ ಗಮನಕ್ಕೆ ನಿವಾಸಿಗಳು ತಂದಿದ್ದರು. ಆಯುಕ್ತರ ಸೂಚನೆಯಂತೆ ಪಾಲಿಕೆ ಸಹಾಯಕ ಕಾರ್ಯಪಾಲಕ ಅಭಿಯಂತರ (ಎಇಇ) ಪುಷ್ಪಾವತಿ, ಸಹಾಯಕ ಎಂಜಿನಿಯರ್ (ಎಇ) ಪ್ರವೀಣ್ ರವರು ಭೇಟಿ ನೀಡಿದ್ದರು. ನಾಗರಿಕರ ಅಹವಾಲು ಆಲಿಸಿದರು.
ಗೃಹ ಮಂಡಳಿ ಬಡಾವಣೆ ಸೆಪ್ಟಿಕ್ ಟ್ಯಾಂಕ್, ಮ್ಯಾನ್’ಹೋಲ್ ಪರಿಶೀಲನೆ ನಡೆಸಿದರು. ಸೆಪ್ಟಿಕ್ ಟ್ಯಾಂಕ್ ನಲ್ಲಿನ ನೀರು ಗರಿಷ್ಠ ಮಟ್ಟ ತಲುಪಿಲ್ಲ. ಈ ಕಾರಣದಿಂದ ಸದ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ಯಾವುದೇ ಸಮಸ್ಯೆಯಿಲ್ಲ. ಮುಂದಿನ ದಿನಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಏನಾದರೂ ತೊಂದರೆಯಾದರೆ ಪರಿಹರಿಸಲಾಗುವುದು ಎಂದು ಎಇಇ ಪುಷ್ಪಾವತಿ ಅವರು ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು.
ಟೀಚರ್ಸ್ ಲೇಔಟ್ ಬಳಿ ಯುಜಿಡಿ ನೀರು ಹೊರ ಬರುತ್ತಿರುವುದನ್ನು ವೀಕ್ಷಿಸಿದರು. ಪೈಪ್ ಲೈನ್ ಮೂಲಕವೇ ಯುಜಿಡಿ ನೀರು ಹರಿಸುವಂತೆ ಕಟ್ಟಡ ಮಾಲೀಕರಿಗೆ ಸೂಚಿಸಿದರು. ಇದರ ಹೊರತಾಗಿಯೂ ಸರಾಗವಾಗಿ ನೀರು ಹರಿಯದಿದ್ದರೆ, ಪಾಲಿಕೆವತಿಯಿಂದ ಅಗತ್ಯ ದುರಸ್ತಿ ಕಾಮಗಾರಿ ನಡೆಸಲಾಗುವುದು ಎಂದರು.
ಈ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿವಾಸಿಗಳ ಕ್ಷೇಮಾಭಿವೃದ್ದಿ ಸಂಘದ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರೂ ಆದ ಪತ್ರಕರ್ತ ಬಿ ರೇಣುಕೇಶ್, ಪ್ರಮುಖರಾದ ಹರ್ಷ ಟಿ ಕರಣೆ, ಕುಮಾರ್, ಮುರುಗೇಶ್ ಸೇರಿದಂತೆ ಮೊದಲಾದವರು ಉಪಸ್ಥಿತರಿದ್ದರು.
Shimoga Municipality Commissioner’s Directive: Visit by UGD Division Engineers | Shimoga, August 06 – In response to complaints about underground drainage (UGD) issues in Ward No. 1, Karnataka Housing Board Colony and Teachers’ Layout, officials from the municipal UGD division visited the sites on August 06 for inspection.
Residents had brought the matter to the attention of Commissioner Mayannagowda. Acting on his instructions, Assistant Executive Engineer (AEE) Pushpavathi and Assistant Engineer (AE) Praveen visited the affected areas and listened to citizens’ grievances.
At the Housing Board Colony, they inspected septic tanks and manholes. The septic tank water had not reached maximum levels, so no immediate problem was found. AEE Pushpavathi assured that if issues arise in the future, they will be resolved.
At Teachers’ Layout, officials observed UGD water flowing out. Building owners were instructed to ensure proper drainage through pipelines. If water does not flow smoothly even after this, the municipality will carry out necessary repair works. Present during the inspection were Welfare Association President and journalist B. Renukesh, along with key members Harsha T. Karane, Kumar, Murugesh, and others.
