ಶಿವಮೊಗ್ಗ (shivamogga), ಫೆಬ್ರವರಿ 05: ನಾಡ ಬಂದೂಕು ತಯಾರಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಆರೋಪದ ಮೇರೆಗೆ ಮರಗೆಲಸ (ಕಾರ್ಪೆಂಟರ್) ವೃತ್ತಿಯ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಯೋರ್ವನನ್ನು, ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯ ಶಿಕಾರಿಪುರ ಪಟ್ಟಣ ಠಾಣೆ ಪೊಲೀಸರು ಬಂಧಿಸಿದ ಘಟನೆ ಫೆಬ್ರವರಿ 4 ರಂದು ನಡೆದಿದೆ.
ಈ ಕುರಿತಂತೆ ಜಿಲ್ಲಾ ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ಇಲಾಖೆ ಫೆ. 5 ರಂದು ಬಿಡುಗಡೆ ಮಾಡಿದ ಪ್ರಕಟಣೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮಾಹಿತಿ ನೀಡಿದೆ. ಶಿಕಾರಿಪುರದ ಭದ್ರಾಪುರ ಗ್ರಾಮದ 3 ನೇ ಕ್ರಾಸ್ ನಿವಾಸಿ ಲಕ್ಷ್ಮಣಪ್ಪ (67) ಬಂಧಿತ ಆರೋಪಿ ಎಂದು ಗುರುತಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ.
ಆರೋಪಿಯಿಂದ ಸಿಂಗಲ್ ಬ್ಯಾರೆಲ್ ನ 7 ನಾಡ ಬಂದೂಕುಗಳು ಹಾಗೂ ಇವುಗಳನ್ನು ತಯಾರಿಸಲು ಬಳಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಇತರೆ ವಸ್ತುಗಳನ್ನು ಪೊಲೀಸರು ವಶಕ್ಕೆ ಪಡೆದುಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ಎಸ್ಪಿ ನಿಖಿಲ್ ಮಾರ್ಗದರ್ಶನದಲ್ಲಿ ಶಿಕಾರಿಪುರ ಡಿವೈಎಸ್ಪಿ ಕೇಶವ ಕೆ ಇ, ನಗರ ವೃತ್ತದ ಸರ್ಕಲ್ ಇನ್ಸ್’ಪೆಕ್ಟರ್ ಸಂತೋಷ್ ಎಂ ಪಾಟೀಲ್ ನೇತೃತ್ವದಲ್ಲಿ ಪಿಎಸ್ಐ ಶರತ್ ಹೆಚ್, ಸಿಬ್ಬಂದಿಗಳಾದ ಕೊಟ್ರೇಶಪ್ಪ, ಪ್ರದೀಪ್ ಕೆ, ನಾಗರಾಜ, ರವಿನಾಯ್ಕ್, ರವಿಕುಮಾರ್ ರವರ ನೇತೃತ್ವದ ವಿಶೇಷ ತಂಡ ಆರೋಪಿಯನ್ನು ಬಂಧಿಸುವಲ್ಲಿ ಸಫಲವಾಗಿದೆ.
ಹಳೇ ಮನೆ : ಆರೋಪಿಯು ತನ್ನ ಮನೆ ಪಕ್ಕದಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ಹಳೇಯ ಮನೆಯೊಂದರಲ್ಲಿ, ನಾಡ ಬಂದೂಕುಗಳನ್ನು ತಯಾರಿಸಿ, ಮಾರಾಟಕ್ಕಿಟ್ಟಿರುವ ಕುರಿತಂತೆ ಪೊಲೀಸರಿಗೆ ಖಚಿತ ವರ್ತಮಾನ ಲಭಿಸಿತ್ತು. ಇದರ ಆಧಾರದ ಮೇಲೆ ಶಿಕಾರಿಪುರ ಗ್ರಾಮಾಂತರ ಠಾಣೆ ಪೊಲೀಸರು ಕಾರ್ಯಾಚರಣೆ ನಡೆಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ಆರೋಪಿಯ ವಿರುದ್ದ ಪ್ರಕರಣ ದಾಖಲಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು, ನ್ಯಾಯಾಲಯಕ್ಕೆ ಹಾಜರುಪಡಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ. ನ್ಯಾಯಾಲಯವು ಆರೋಪಿಯನ್ನು ನ್ಯಾಯಾಂಗ ವಶಕ್ಕೆ ಒಪ್ಪಿಸಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ಇಲಾಖೆ ಪ್ರಕಟಣೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮಾಹಿತಿ ನೀಡಲಾಗಿದೆ.
Shikaripura Police Operation: Carpenter Arrested for Making Country-Made Guns!
Shivamogga, February 05: A carpenter was arrested by Shikaripura Town Police on February 4 on charges of manufacturing country-made guns.
According to a press release issued by the District Police Department on February 5, the accused has been identified as Lakshmanappa (67), a resident of 3rd Cross, Bhadrapura village, Shikaripura.
Police seized seven single-barrel country-made guns along with other materials used for manufacturing them.
Under the guidance of SP Nikhil, the operation was led by Shikaripura DySP Keshav K.E., Circle Inspector Santosh M. Patil, PSI Sharath H., and staff members Kotrashappa, Pradeep K., Nagaraj, Ravinayak, and Ravikumar. The special team successfully arrested the accused.
Old house: Police received reliable information that the accused was making and selling country-made guns in an old house next to his residence. Acting on this tip-off, Shikaripura Rural Police carried out the operation.
A case has been registered against the accused, and he has been produced before the court. The court has remanded him to judicial custody, according to the police department’s statement.
