ಶಿವಮೊಗ್ಗ, ಎಪ್ರಿಲ್ 01: ತಡರಾತ್ರಿ ಗುಡುಗು ಬಿರುಗಾಳಿ ಸಹಿತ ಬಿದ್ದ ಭಾರೀ ಮಳೆಯ ವೇಳೆ, ಶಿವಮೊಗ್ಗ ನಗರದ ಹೊರವಲಯ ಆಲ್ಕೋಳದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಎಫ್ ಸಿ ಐ (ಭಾರತೀಯ ಆಹಾರ ನಿಗಮ) ಕಚೇರಿಯ ಬೃಹದಾಕಾರದ ಕಾಂಪೌಂಡ್ ರಸ್ತೆ ಮೇಲೆ ಉರುಳಿ ಬಿದ್ದ ಘಟನೆ ನಡೆದಿದೆ.
ಕಾಂಪೌಂಡ್ ಗೋಡೆ ಪಕ್ಕ ನಿಲ್ಲಿಸಿದ್ದ ಟಾಟಾ ಏಸ್ ಸರಕು ಸಾಗಾಣೆ ವಾಹನದ ಮೇಲೆ ಗೋಡೆ ಕುಸಿದು ಬಿದ್ದಿರುವುದರಿಂದ, ವಾಹನವು ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣ ಜಖಂಗೊಂಡಿದೆ. ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ವಿದ್ಯುತ್ ಕಂಬಗಳು ಕೂಡ ಧರಾಶಾಹಿಯಾಗಿವೆ.
‘ಸುಮಾರು 15 ಅಡಿಗೂ ಎತ್ತರದ ಕಾಂಪೌಂಡ್ ಗೋಡೆಯಾಗಿದೆ. ಹಗಲು ವೇಳೆ ಏನಾದರೂ ಬಿದ್ದಿದ್ದರೆ ಭಾರೀ ದೊಡ್ಡ ಪ್ರಮಾಣದ ಅನಾಹುತ ಸಂಭವಿಸುತ್ತಿತ್ತು. ಘಟನೆಯಿಂದ ರಸ್ತೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಹನ ಸಂಚಾರ ಸ್ಥಗಿತಗೊಂಡಿದೆ. ವಿದ್ಯುತ್ ವ್ಯತ್ಯಯವಾಗಿದೆ’ ಎಂದು ಸ್ಥಳೀಯರು ಮಾಹಿತಿ ನೀಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ಕಾಂಪೌಂಡ್ ಗೋಡೆಯಿಂದ ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣ ಹಾನಿಗೀಡಾಗಿರುವ ಟಾಟಾ ಏಸ್ ಸರಕು ಸಾಗಾಣೆ ವಾಹನ ಮಾಲೀಕರಿಗೆ ಎಫ್ ಸಿ ಐ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆ ಸೂಕ್ತ ಪರಿಹಾರ ನೀಡಬೇಕು ಎಂದು ಇದೇ ವೇಳೆ ಸ್ಥಳೀಯರು ಆಗ್ರಹಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
Shivamogga: FCI Godown Compound Wall Collapses in Storm – Vehicle Damaged!
Shivamogga, April 01: During heavy rain accompanied by thunder and strong winds late at night, the massive compound wall of the Food Corporation of India (FCI) office located in Alkola on the outskirts of Shivamogga city collapsed onto the road.
A Tata Ace goods vehicle parked beside the wall was completely crushed under the debris. Electric poles nearby also fell down.
“The compound wall was nearly 15 feet high. If it had collapsed during the daytime, it could have caused a major disaster. The incident has blocked traffic on the road and disrupted electricity supply,” locals reported.
Residents have demanded that the FCI provide appropriate compensation to the owner of the Tata Ace vehicle, which was completely damaged in the incident.
